[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sa. [00:00:29] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Gavin Cash and I'm playing Clint Brazos, a scion of the Morrigan. [00:00:37] Speaker C: Hello. I'm Sticker and I play Coda Masakoi, the scion of Bastet. [00:00:44] Speaker D: Hello. I'm Solomon and I play Andre Briscoe, a scion of Hephaestus. [00:00:50] Speaker E: And I'm Legacy, and I will be playing Bastet, Egyptian goddess of cats. [00:00:57] Speaker A: And I'm Bloodied Porcelain. I'll be your storyteller for the evening. Good evening, players. [00:01:04] Speaker D: Good evening. [00:01:05] Speaker C: Hello. [00:01:08] Speaker A: During our last episode, we traveled to the Greek underworld, to Hades, and delivered a rather. A valentine of rather mythic proportions to a certain goddess of springtime and queen of the Underworld. On behalf of her husband, Hades, the Lord of the Underworld, she was grateful for the gift. You all stood in judgment before the three. Before three scions who came before you in ancient days and were deemed worthy of continuing on to Hades's castle. Before all of that, you crossed five. Well, you crossed like three or four rivers, but got to see at least the intersections of five of them. Got to meet two separate ferrymen, including Charon himself, the head ferryman and true God of the dead, whereas Hades is Lord of the Underworld. You were granted the chance to travel to the fields of Elysian to speak to someone of your choice. And primarily because Coda got a little. Coda got a little bold and asked if it was possible to meet somebody who had passed on here. And in the fields of Elysian, you got to meet up with Myra for the first time since before her death. Andre got to speak to his Aunt Koda, got to apologize for the role that she played in Moira's death. And in the middle of all of it, or as things were wrapping up, Moira helped Oliver with a vision. Unfortunately, the vision was so intense and so impactful that he was only able to be awake for a few seconds after it happened. Long enough to warn Clint that he had to be careful with what was coming before he collapsed. And Moira hurried you onward out of the Underworld, telling Andre not to be sad, but to go on and live, because that's what she wanted him to do, not to dwell. And promising him that she was sure that they would see each other again, though hopefully not too soon. From there, we will be picking up. Oliver is limp in. I'm. I think. I think it was Clint who put Oliver over his shoulder. [00:04:20] Speaker B: Yep. [00:04:22] Speaker A: And seems to be very unconscious. No attempts so far to try and wake him up for the journey out of the Underworld have worked, but Moira did Warn you that with his current state, if he were to dwell in the underworld for too long, that state may never change. So she urged you on quickly. [00:04:47] Speaker B: Come on. We gotta find out how to get him out of here. [00:04:51] Speaker D: Yeah, we need to get top side. [00:04:53] Speaker B: Do we take the long way? Do we, you know, get the ferry back? [00:04:59] Speaker C: That has to be the way back, cuz that's the way we came. [00:05:05] Speaker D: The way back has never been easy for anyone that's alive that's come down this way. St. [00:05:12] Speaker A: Yes. [00:05:13] Speaker D: Would I know of anything, like details about how for example, Orpheus might have made it back out, but his wife didn't, or anything like that? [00:05:22] Speaker A: I will allow anybody who has dots in a cult to make me an intelligence in a cult role coming up. [00:05:32] Speaker B: That is not me. [00:05:35] Speaker D: Uh, nine successes. [00:05:37] Speaker B: Nice coda. [00:05:40] Speaker A: Are you going to be rolling? I don't know if you have dots. [00:05:43] Speaker C: I do, but I don't think. [00:05:46] Speaker A: You don't think you're gonna beat nine? That's fair. [00:05:49] Speaker C: Yeah. Also, I don't think coda is like, oh yes. [00:05:53] Speaker A: Well, I had been waiting to see if Koda or Clint would roll because you have both gone into underworlds before. That being said, Andre, you know that there are in the myths, there are a number of ways to get back. And with your time spent as a scion and your encounters with other scions of your pantheon and others, you know that the most common is to find effectively a recreation of like a. Like a. Where the dead are usually laid to rest, whether it be a graveyard or a mausoleum or whatever on this side and wait for the right time. And usually the veil thins enough that you could step out there. In Greek mythology, specifically, most like deep, deep dark caves are rumored to go to. Are you rumored to go to the underworld? You do know because you've brushed with the myth recently. According to mythology, there is an entrance to the underworld on Cersei's island that you have no idea where it comes out on this side. Yuck. And you know from having interacted with other with scions of other pantheons that technically Yggdrasil, the world tree, connects to all of them. You don't know exactly how to get there, but you also know that going to Yggdrasil is like a whole adventure in and of itself. [00:07:26] Speaker B: Typically, yeah, got time for that one. [00:07:32] Speaker A: Because you are alive. You could certainly attempt to bargain with the ferryman, but you're not entirely sure how well that would go. [00:07:43] Speaker B: Gotta find a way out of here quicker than that. [00:07:47] Speaker A: The most obvious options, Andre, that you can think of are to find a recreation of mausoleums or a graveyard to cross over because that's where the veil tends to be the thinnest. Or to find a cave and walk out. [00:08:03] Speaker B: While Andre thinks about things logically and utilizes his brain powers, Clint is going to whip out his magical phone and send a text to mom. [00:08:14] Speaker A: Okay, what are you sending? [00:08:17] Speaker B: Hey, mom, it's your son, Clint. We're kind of in trouble and we need a quick way to get Oliver out of here into a safe place. He's sleeping really hard and not waking up. Not dead. And then s. [00:08:35] Speaker A: Of the not dead as if it's an afterthought. Oh, yeah, I should probably specify. Andre, what are you. While Clint is waiting for a reply to his text message. What are you going to suggest? [00:08:54] Speaker D: Well, the best two ways I know how to get out of here is similar to how we. How we came in. Find the graveyard or a tomb and wait for the veil and try to leave when the veil thins, because that happens. Or we find a cave. I don't know exactly how easy would be to find a cave within the fields of Asphodel, but that's the best ways to get out of here. Those two. Yeah. We could try dealing with the ferryman, but I don't think he's quite taking a shine to us, so I'm thinking we just. [00:09:33] Speaker A: It would probably cost you to get back across because his job is to bring people in, not back. Yeah. [00:09:42] Speaker C: Hmm. Well, remember when we were on Cersei's island and you were able to like, search for things by sticking your hand into the ground? Can you do that here and look for a cave? [00:09:57] Speaker D: I certainly try. I figured that this place in its own ways is within the earth, so maybe I could get a better read on it. And he will try to use echo sounding to see if he can't find a cave or and. Or tombstones. [00:10:14] Speaker A: Is there a role of any sort associated with that? [00:10:17] Speaker D: Perception and awareness, but it does not cost legend, thankfully. [00:10:21] Speaker A: All right, give me a perception and awareness role. [00:10:30] Speaker D: Two successes for everything within a two mile radius. [00:10:35] Speaker A: All right, so I have good news and bad news. The good news is they're definitely caves. The bad news, with only two successes, you find a number of them. You are smart enough that I will tell you that you can mark at least one of them off of the list of possibilities because it is back in the direction that the entrance to Tartarus was. [00:11:06] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:11:06] Speaker A: No, but there are like three others from where you are. Well, any or all of them. Could be ways out. It is hard to tell. [00:11:18] Speaker D: Yeah, he's just like, got his hand on the ground. It's like. Well, I'm sensing four. One of them's a. Hell no. Because that's the way the Tartarus is. And yeah, we're not going there. The other three long shot, don't know where they're gonna pop us back out in the Overworld if then we can make it to the Overworld at all. [00:11:41] Speaker B: Well, that don't sound like great options. [00:11:47] Speaker D: I wasn't getting anything when I was looking for tombstones or anything, so we might just have to go to wing it with a cave. [00:11:55] Speaker C: Okay, well, I guess let's start heading to one of them that you feel. And maybe if we see someone along the way. What was it? [00:12:08] Speaker D: I was just gonna say, yeah, let's head to the closest one and if there are any souls that might be able to remember and help us out, we. [00:12:15] Speaker A: Sure. [00:12:15] Speaker D: But let's try not to interact with them too much. We might end up, I don't know, affected by the shades. [00:12:24] Speaker C: All right. [00:12:25] Speaker A: All right. And. And Andre, you. You have high enough. Oh goodness. High enough occult that I'm. I'm not going to make you roll for this. No one in the fields of Asphodel, the spirits anyway, are going to be able to give you any answers because they've all drunk from the river of forgetting. So. [00:12:46] Speaker D: Yeah, that leafy water hits different. [00:12:48] Speaker A: Yeah, it does. However, this isn't a difficult march. You have permission to be here. And Hades Guard is still with you. And while they don't speak and you don't think that they're going to give you any real tips to get out of here, they seem to be well suited for keeping anything troublesome that might come along away. Even. Even the shades that kind of collect around you as you start walking through the field of Asphodel. They collect around, but they keep. But it's like there's like an invisible barrier that they just won't cross because those two guards are nearby. Fair enough. You find your way relatively easily past a field to where it kind of gives way to dirt and gravel and stone. And you are faced with a large, gaping cave opening. Clint? [00:13:58] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:13:59] Speaker A: Would you do me a favor? [00:14:01] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:14:03] Speaker A: Would you please roll me just a willpower. [00:14:07] Speaker B: Willpower Carvens or total? [00:14:10] Speaker A: Total. [00:14:11] Speaker B: Okay. [00:14:13] Speaker A: As I seem to remember that Clint has a problem with caves and caverns. [00:14:19] Speaker B: We have not gotten into it yet, but looking at it's not looking great. We have four successes. [00:14:35] Speaker A: All right. So far so good. You hold yourself firm and don't let yourself get too shaken by the thought of having to go into that dark maw of earth. [00:14:49] Speaker B: Clint's jaw is clenched, and he's kinda got one hand balled up into a fist, the other wrapped around the sleeping Oliver. [00:14:57] Speaker A: I don't know if you have spent any but if you have spent any of your courage, virtue, you can have one use back. [00:15:06] Speaker B: Woohoo. Thank you. I have used it. All right, Got it. Updated. [00:15:15] Speaker A: All right, are we continuing in, ladies and gentlemen? [00:15:18] Speaker C: Yep. [00:15:19] Speaker D: Can we sense anything from the cave, whether it's, like, heat or cold or like, any sort of, like, sensory effects, like smells or anything. [00:15:29] Speaker A: Let's go. Perception and awareness. [00:15:36] Speaker D: Okie dokie. [00:15:38] Speaker A: And everybody and Ian can help. [00:15:44] Speaker B: Hey, awesome. [00:16:12] Speaker E: Four. [00:16:14] Speaker A: All right. [00:16:16] Speaker B: Clint got two and Ian got four. [00:16:20] Speaker D: And Andre got three. [00:16:22] Speaker A: All right. And Koda got four. Koda and Ian are able to smell. Well, let me start a little bit lower than that, Clint. It's just really dark, and with you kind of having to steel yourself against how nervous caves and such make you, you don't pick up on much other than the fact that it's dark and you don't hear anything coming from there, which is a little unsettling, but also maybe reassuring in some ways. Andre, you smell grave dirt, and Koda and Ian both smell grave dirt and don't hear a whole lot coming from it, but do hear the occasional, like, sound of, like, little pebbles shifting and moving. The kind of sound that you tend to hear when the earth is kind of settling in a cave. But you also get the faintest, faintest whiff of fresh air. Kota. [00:17:44] Speaker C: Kota will take a deep breath and then go definitely this way. Right. I should probably give a show my work. Earth is moving. Heard some pebbles, and I'm definitely smelling fresh air going this way. [00:18:05] Speaker B: Fresh air that could be outside. [00:18:08] Speaker C: It definitely is outside. [00:18:11] Speaker B: Let's go that way. If we have to. [00:18:17] Speaker C: We got this. [00:18:19] Speaker D: Yeah. And if it helped, Andre will pull out the orb and offer to him. You can just kind of focus on this. It has a whole lot of parts that can move and buttons that can be pressed. It doesn't really do too much yet, but maybe it'll help distract. [00:18:33] Speaker B: You got me a fidget toy. Of course I'm going to use it. Thank you. [00:18:39] Speaker D: Anytime. [00:18:39] Speaker B: Let's hold this here. It's fine using just one hand, right? Or do you mind holding Oliver? [00:18:45] Speaker D: I mean, I can take Oliver. It's all good. [00:18:47] Speaker B: Yeah. Here you go. Clint will pass over Oliver and just focus his attention En wrapped on the shiny object, twisting it and turning it and pressing button, and occasionally glance up to make sure he's following by. [00:19:03] Speaker A: It is worth noting that Brom has been following throughout all of this. And Brom, as Oliver gets shifted over to Andre's shoulder. Brom is almost like a cat because he likes figure eights in between and around Andre's ankles. Looking up at Oliver nervously. [00:19:23] Speaker D: You want to come up and rest on him, Brom? [00:19:26] Speaker A: He's a little big for that, Andre. Even with your strength, he's gotten bigger. He's not tiny anymore. [00:19:34] Speaker D: I forgot. Never mind. [00:19:36] Speaker A: If anything, it's a little awkward that he keeps going between your legs because you have to balance to keep from getting knocked over. [00:19:44] Speaker D: He'll be all right. He just needs the rest. [00:19:48] Speaker A: All right. Are we just going forward into the dark? Is anybody going to try and use light? [00:19:55] Speaker C: Koda will do, like, a. Like a double clap and, like, activate her eyes lights. [00:20:05] Speaker A: Her eyes lights. [00:20:07] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:20:10] Speaker A: I love that that's what you're calling that power. Oh, goodness. Is it. Is it what? Second blaze or. It's for penetrating glare. [00:20:21] Speaker C: It is penetrating glare. [00:20:24] Speaker A: Okay, so as a reminder, penetrating glare works for you, but nobody else. Sorry. [00:20:29] Speaker C: Not penetrating Divine radiance. That's what it is. [00:20:32] Speaker A: Okay. Does that have any costs or anything that you have to spend for it? [00:20:36] Speaker C: Yes, it's. I spend one legend. [00:20:39] Speaker A: Okay. Koda claps. Koda claps her hands twice and lights up like a. Lights up a little bit like a Christmas tree and casts a glow all around her. Clap on, Koda. [00:20:54] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:20:55] Speaker B: Oh, work better than I thought. I thought you were just, you know, trying to turn on a clapper. I don't think they got them installed down here yet. [00:21:03] Speaker C: No, but it's just me. Yeah. Let's get out of here. And you also don't like being in stuff like this, so let's get a move on. [00:21:16] Speaker A: As you are moving Clint, your phone chimes. [00:21:20] Speaker B: Hold on one second. And Clint will one hand the ball, pull his phone out of his pocket. [00:21:26] Speaker A: And check it is a text message from your mother. Oh, I cannot go where you are. It's not my territory. But I will meet you when you are above ground again, okay? [00:21:40] Speaker B: Okay. Hey, guys. Mom says she's gonna meet us once we get out of here, so we're. We're going the right way, I think. And hell, that'll make it easier to get Oliver somewhere safe. [00:21:51] Speaker D: Yeah, exactly. [00:21:52] Speaker C: Is that actually your mom? [00:21:55] Speaker B: Yeah, it actually was. The Clint double checks the phone number. [00:21:59] Speaker A: It is, in fact, your mother's phone number. [00:22:02] Speaker B: Yeah, it's got her name there. The phone numbers. Right. Yep. This is her. [00:22:07] Speaker C: Oh, wow. Things really are changing. Okay, let's get out of here so you can see your mom. [00:22:14] Speaker B: Yeah. She clearly loves Oliver more than she loves me. [00:22:19] Speaker C: You called for her, and she came when it mattered. [00:22:21] Speaker B: You know what? You're right. And it actually worked. I'm just honestly surprised to hear anything at all. Let's go. Let's get through this quickly, please. You know, anxiety acting up. [00:22:36] Speaker A: All right, you all set off through the cave. If you have an option, either everybody can roll it or one person can roll it and the others can help. But I'm going to need a Witson survival roll. [00:23:00] Speaker B: That would be a total of four dice for me and no, you know, bonuses better than me. [00:23:07] Speaker C: Three. Okay, that's five dices with two bonuses. I guess I'm doing it. [00:23:13] Speaker B: Would you like some help? Would you like me to point out anything for you? [00:23:16] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:23:18] Speaker A: All right, Clint, make me a with survival roll. Let's see how many extra dice you can give her. [00:23:31] Speaker B: That is two successes. [00:23:33] Speaker A: All right, Cody, you have one additional die. [00:23:36] Speaker C: Perfect. Four successes. [00:23:52] Speaker A: Excellent. Yeah. There are a couple of times, coda, where you get a little bit turned around. Yes, you can see everything, but it's also just a cave. There isn't a whole lot in terms of landmarks to go by, but, you know, you don't lose too much time. You get. You get all. You go off on one track, which just takes you to a dead end, and you manage to backtrack back to the main fork and then try a different way, and it takes you out. It takes about three to four hours to do, to walk all the way through. But eventually, you guys break out and you feel fresh air before you see any sign of being outside, and you hurry up. And even when you get to the point where it looks like it should be the exit, it almost doesn't feel like you're there. And then you realize that it's because. Because it's nighttime out now. [00:24:52] Speaker B: A second. Are there any stars or the moon visible? [00:24:59] Speaker A: There are some stars. There is no moonlight. [00:25:04] Speaker B: I think I see stars. Did we get out of there? [00:25:10] Speaker D: Yeah, I think we're in the clear. [00:25:14] Speaker B: You can have the ball back. Well, I might use it for, like, car rides. Hold on. Where's Mom? And Clint will lower the ball and start looking around. [00:25:27] Speaker A: You guys look around for a little while, and you find that you are on a relatively small island. And in the far, far distance, you can very faintly see the edge of A landmass of some sort with little tiny pinpricks of light. [00:25:47] Speaker B: Something there. [00:25:50] Speaker A: Andre, you're smart enough to realize that Greek is Greece has a lot of islands off of the coast of it. You've probably just come out on one of them. [00:25:59] Speaker D: Yeah, I think we're on one of the regular islands, not a terra incognita. [00:26:06] Speaker A: And as you guys are standing there trying to. Trying to get your bearings and figure out exactly where you are and how you might get to land, you hear the rush of wings above you. [00:26:19] Speaker B: Oh, boy, is that. I think those are. Is that Mom. And Clint will start waving up at the sky. [00:26:30] Speaker A: As Clint gets very excited, Ian takes off from his perch on Clinch and flies up to meet what looks like just a writhing black cloud above your head because there's not enough light to see exactly what's happening. And after a few moments, Kona and Clint see a figure that they're very familiar with. Andre, you've never met this particular person face to face. [00:26:58] Speaker D: Yeah, I've been trying to avoid that. [00:27:01] Speaker A: But a pale haired red. A pale faced, red haired woman in a long black trench coat is standing there and walking up the beach towards you. There is still a ton of birds everywhere, but when she. When she kind of manifested into her human form, it looked like that clock would go a little bit smaller. [00:27:32] Speaker B: Hey, mom, we got Oliver right here. Thank you for, you know, showing up. [00:27:41] Speaker A: Hey, what happened to him? [00:27:46] Speaker B: He was telling me to be careful about something and had a bit of a fit and didn't wake up. [00:27:54] Speaker D: After that, I think he might have had a really intense vision. [00:28:01] Speaker A: Lay him down, please. [00:28:03] Speaker D: Yes, ma'am. And he will just quickly lay Oliver down as carefully as he can. [00:28:13] Speaker A: She walks over to where Oliver is laid out on the ground and then pauses and looks at Andrew and looks almost expectant. [00:28:28] Speaker D: Oh, Andre Briscoe. Sign of Hephaestus, ma'am. [00:28:35] Speaker A: She nods. [00:28:40] Speaker B: Glad you finally got to meet her. So what do you. Do you mind taking him somewhere safe? [00:28:50] Speaker A: Hold on, son. I have to look at him. [00:28:54] Speaker B: Yeah, that's a better idea. [00:29:04] Speaker A: Well, the good news is he should be fine. The bad news is he's going to be out of commission for a bit. Needs to rest. His Echor was tested. Stretched a bit thin, seems like. [00:29:34] Speaker C: Respectfully. What, ma'am? [00:29:39] Speaker A: Divine ichor kodama is what makes you what you are and not normal. It is the gift your mother gave you, as his father gave him. [00:29:50] Speaker B: So when he uses it, he gets all sleepy like. [00:29:54] Speaker A: And any of you, any of you could have this Happen. But he was gripped in something particularly intense, something that pulled on his legend a bit more. A bit harder than most things, I'm sure. Being in a place of death when he's not of the dead as we are probably didn't help his case. [00:30:18] Speaker B: Makes sense. [00:30:20] Speaker D: The vision was also brought on by one of us who had passed on. Sort of pushed it out of him, I think. [00:30:30] Speaker A: I. Now I can see her handiwork. [00:30:35] Speaker B: Wait. She did this to him? [00:30:38] Speaker A: She did. She gave him the vision. I can see that. I could see a shade of her intent. She didn't try to hurt him, if that's what you're worried about. [00:30:53] Speaker B: Oh, okay. Yeah, that. I was concerned. [00:30:58] Speaker A: The dead sometimes forget that the living are not as. Well, Hardy as they are. And she was stronger than him when she died, so. [00:31:16] Speaker B: Not too difficult of a thing to be. But. [00:31:23] Speaker A: So she looks. She. She's kind of, like, knelt down next to Oliver and is. Is. It looks like she is. She is just kind of touching and. And plucking at things in the air that you guys can't see. [00:31:39] Speaker B: What are you doing, Mom? Do you need help? Can I help? [00:31:43] Speaker A: I am examining his fate threads, son. [00:31:46] Speaker B: Oh. [00:31:47] Speaker A: Looking for changes, anything that might be. [00:31:54] Speaker B: Sir. [00:31:55] Speaker C: Well, he seemed pretty stressed about Clint being careful about something. Right? [00:32:04] Speaker D: That's something about a feather. [00:32:07] Speaker B: Yeah. He said when you pick up the feather, there'll be an alarm. And don't crush the feather. I don't know which feather it is or where the alarm's at, but I have to be real careful with whatever it is. [00:32:24] Speaker A: She nods a little bit. You get the feeling, as usual, with your mother, she probably knows something but isn't going to say. And she looks up, and you can see Ian kind of circling overhead. And she holds out a hand, and he. He flies down and perches in her palm. And she doesn't say anything, but Ian kind of clicks his beak and tilts his head back and forth for a minute, and then you hear him go. Got it. I'll be back. And then he and several other of the. I can't remember what a group of crows is called. [00:33:08] Speaker C: Murder. [00:33:09] Speaker A: No. Murder of ravens. Crows have a different name, but they. They take off towards the water. I've sent Ian and a few of mine to find your friend Alexandra Shatara ships around here somewhere. She'll come and pick you up. And I can't make any promises that she'll be willing to stay with to. To keep Oliver's body with her, but something tells me she'll. She'll take it On. [00:33:52] Speaker B: I mean, if. If anyone's the one who can do it, you know. [00:33:58] Speaker A: She kind of nods a little bit and she looks over at the dragon who has made its way over now that she has kind of backed off a little bit and has like la. His head across all of. Like head and neck across all of his chest, almost protectively. [00:34:15] Speaker B: You think she'll be able to take him too? [00:34:19] Speaker D: Well, they're tied together. I think she's gonna kind of have to. [00:34:24] Speaker B: Sure hope so. It'd be hard to take care of him and, you know, at the very. [00:34:28] Speaker A: Least she'll get you all to the shore. You can find a place to. To tuck him away. [00:34:35] Speaker D: Good enough. [00:34:36] Speaker A: Something tells me you've got another guest coming. Where's your cat? She looks over at Koda. [00:34:45] Speaker C: I believe I let him stay on the island because I didn't want him to come into the underground. [00:34:55] Speaker A: No, he went with you. [00:34:56] Speaker C: He did? [00:34:57] Speaker A: Yep. You guys said that you were taking all your pets. [00:35:01] Speaker C: Oh. [00:35:05] Speaker A: Well. And he's not here now, you know. [00:35:09] Speaker C: Okay, so Nakota will probably just go. I don't know. I mean, can you really know where a cat is at any moment in time? [00:35:22] Speaker A: I make it a habit. [00:35:27] Speaker B: Don't you got a bell on him or something? [00:35:32] Speaker C: He has a collar, but he doesn't have a bell. That would be rude. What's the point of being stealthy if you put a bell on someone? [00:35:40] Speaker B: I mean. Yeah, I guess. [00:35:42] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:35:45] Speaker C: Sorry, miss. What do I do? I say Ms. Morgan. Mrs. Morgan, are you married? [00:35:55] Speaker A: Huh? That is a complicated question. [00:36:00] Speaker C: Right? Cuz. [00:36:01] Speaker D: Gods, yeah, we need it. [00:36:08] Speaker A: She kind of. She. She looks over at Audrey and. And if you get the feeling that if this God ever smiled, this is probably as close as it's going to get. Even though she looks pretty stone faced, there is something in her demeanor that is vaguely amused. [00:36:23] Speaker D: I'll take it. [00:36:27] Speaker B: Well, mom, are you married? [00:36:31] Speaker A: As I said, that is complicated. [00:36:37] Speaker C: Right. So do I just call you Ms. Morrigan? The Morrigan Head Morrigan. [00:36:46] Speaker A: The Morrigan is fine. My formal name. [00:36:51] Speaker C: It's your formal name. Okay. All right. The Morrigan. What was it that you said before? [00:37:03] Speaker A: About what? [00:37:04] Speaker C: About Pele. [00:37:07] Speaker A: I asked where he was. [00:37:08] Speaker C: Oh. Oh, yeah. I really don't know. Not gonna lie, but I'm sure he'll show up at any moment and then say, I want a snack. [00:37:18] Speaker A: All right. Perhaps when she kind of turns and looks out at the. Looks out at the water and you guys see a very faint light that's moving across the waves. I think Your friend is getting close. [00:37:41] Speaker B: Yeah, it looks like it. Thank you for helping us out. [00:37:47] Speaker A: She kind of nods. There's not much I could do. I could try to give him some of his strength back, but I'm just as likely to burn him out as. As I am to help. [00:37:57] Speaker B: It's all right. We can let him rest a little bit, get a little sleep in. [00:38:01] Speaker D: Better have a real diagnosis first, and then we can adjust and take care of him as necessary. [00:38:07] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:38:09] Speaker A: She kind of steps over towards Clint and reaches up and, like, does that thing that people do where, like, they put their curled pointer finger under his chin and their thumb, like, on, like, the top of his chin so that she can, like, move his head around. [00:38:25] Speaker B: A little bit and he looks wherever she points. [00:38:33] Speaker A: Well, you haven't made it worse. [00:38:38] Speaker B: I mean, I haven't been touching any magical chairs recently, so I figure we're still good on that part. [00:38:49] Speaker A: You should listen to what your friend warned you about. [00:38:53] Speaker B: Yeah, I heard him. I ain't going to crush no feathers. I'll be careful. [00:39:01] Speaker A: Good. You have a tendency to act without thinking. [00:39:08] Speaker B: I mean, sometimes you don't got time to think. [00:39:19] Speaker A: I have seen and experienced a great many things in more time than I can remember, son. [00:39:30] Speaker B: You don't have to call yourself old, Mom. [00:39:32] Speaker A: There is always time to think. Sometimes you have to buy for it, but it's always there. [00:39:43] Speaker B: Okay, I'll. I'll try to find the time whenever it happens. I mean, I'll practice, too. Yeah, I'll give it some practice. [00:39:56] Speaker A: Good. [00:40:00] Speaker B: Thanks, Mom. [00:40:03] Speaker A: She nods and takes a few steps back. Is there anything else you need before I go? [00:40:16] Speaker B: Not that I can think of at the moment, but I'll give you a text if I need something. Okay. [00:40:22] Speaker A: She nods and she turns like she's about to walk away, and you can see the crows start to gather in on her. And then she pauses and looks back over her shoulder. The Dagda. The Dagda is my husband, but it's complicated. [00:40:51] Speaker B: Oh, you know, that reminds me. McClear. Is he, like. Does he actually have a sense of humor? [00:41:03] Speaker A: More than most of us. [00:41:06] Speaker B: Good. Good. Okay. He was being. We connected, you know, and it was actually on a good term for once. [00:41:15] Speaker A: Was it? [00:41:17] Speaker B: Well, kind of. Sort of. Like he sent me a silly picture of himself and. Or like he was pretending to be that fisherman gown. The box of the frozen fish sticks, you know? Ah, yeah. Called himself Mac. It was pretty cool. [00:41:35] Speaker A: She nods. That sounds like him. [00:41:41] Speaker B: Is he okay to, you know, talk to? And is he one of the good Ones. [00:41:50] Speaker A: Well, he's not bad. Has a penchant for trickery. [00:41:57] Speaker B: Okay. [00:41:58] Speaker A: But he's not malicious, if that's what you're asking. [00:42:01] Speaker B: Yeah, that's kind of what. [00:42:02] Speaker A: Yeah, he wouldn't dare. [00:42:05] Speaker B: Good. All right, well, I might keep texting him, then. Who knows? [00:42:14] Speaker A: She nods a little bit, looks at the other two, kind of waiting to see if there's anything else that anyone wants to ask before she goes. [00:42:25] Speaker D: Yeah, Andre's good. Andre is a little terrified of her. [00:42:34] Speaker A: And she nods a little bit and turns, and the crows coalesce around her again, and she's gone. And to correct myself, you were right, Koda. It is a murder of crows in unkindness of ravens, as Solomon reminded me. I don't know why I had them mixed up in my head. [00:42:53] Speaker C: Oh. [00:42:55] Speaker B: I mean, those words are for the birds. [00:43:01] Speaker C: The second the Morgan leaves, Kota would just say, yeah, I would. [00:43:10] Speaker D: Good grief. That's Clint's mom you're talking about. [00:43:13] Speaker B: You'd what? [00:43:15] Speaker C: I would. I wonder who's coming. [00:43:24] Speaker D: I would flee from this conversation. [00:43:28] Speaker C: There's like, a light in the distance. Where? What? What's the light in the. Let me go. Let. We should go check that out. [00:43:34] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, let's do. Let's do that. [00:43:37] Speaker B: What are you talking about? [00:43:40] Speaker C: Talking about the light in the distance. Clint, come on. [00:43:42] Speaker B: I know. I see that, too, but you know what I'm asking about. [00:43:46] Speaker C: Oh, the shiny thing in your hand. [00:43:49] Speaker B: What, this thing? No, I. Well, hold on. I think I can figure this one out. And misremembering it to be something akin to a Rubik's cube. He'll continue to fiddle with the sphere. [00:44:02] Speaker D: Good recovery. [00:44:04] Speaker C: Yeah, definitely. [00:44:09] Speaker A: Ian flies back in, perches on Clint's shoulder. [00:44:15] Speaker B: Hey, bud. Where'd you go? [00:44:19] Speaker A: She sent us to go find Alexandra. [00:44:22] Speaker B: Oh, is that. Gotcha. That makes sense. Hey, y'all. That's probably Alexandra. Just as a heads up, if you want to, you know, say hi to the right person, Ian, can you press that button here? And he'll raise the sphere up. [00:44:37] Speaker A: Ian immediately becomes enamored with the sphere because it's all very shiny, and he'll reach out and tap whatever it is with his. With his beak. But then also kind of immediately attempts to snatch the sphere out of your hands. [00:44:52] Speaker B: Oh, okay. Hold on. Yeah, you hold that side. I hold this side. [00:44:58] Speaker A: I'm not going to make you roll. This is not a hard battle to win, but Ian really wants the shiny. All right, is anybody gathering up Oliver's body? [00:45:08] Speaker D: Yeah. Andre will grab him again. [00:45:11] Speaker A: All right. Brom kind of huffs a little bit when Andre gets close, but backs off so that he can pick. So that he can pick up Oliver. [00:45:22] Speaker D: Easy, bud. Just trying to get him to where he needs to be to rest. [00:45:27] Speaker A: You all are able to make your way down to the beach, where it is much easier to see that the light that you saw moving across the water was, in fact, the. The ship. It is still a ways out, but there are four Myrmidons, or, I'm sorry, two Myrmidons rowing what looks like a little, like, dinghy in towards the. In towards the shore. [00:45:53] Speaker C: I hate this part. Kota will look around for Pele, and then we'll just call out, pelle, where are you? We're going back on the ship. [00:46:08] Speaker A: Pele does not appear. [00:46:12] Speaker B: You think he's in your backpack, maybe? [00:46:15] Speaker C: No, I can check. Still check in her backpack. [00:46:21] Speaker A: He is not in your backpack. [00:46:23] Speaker C: Okay, cool. Yeah, I definitely would have heard something from him. All right, well, maybe you'll be on the ship. [00:46:34] Speaker A: The dinghy rose up. You are all able to load in with no problem, and they take you back out to Alexandra's ship, where a handful of Myrmidons reach out to take Oliver and lift him very carefully up into the. Or onto the deck, I should say, as you all are able to climb up like a rope ladder that is thrown down for you, and then the dinghy is hoisted up. [00:47:09] Speaker B: Thanks for the help, y'all. Good work, all. Yep. Good job. Glenn just goes around complimenting the Myrmidons. [00:47:17] Speaker D: Who are helping out. [00:47:19] Speaker A: Alexandra is there. She's speaking rapidly in Greek, sending people or sending the Myrmidons off to new assignment things. All right. Welcome back. Guessing it went well. [00:47:36] Speaker D: Well, as well as can be expected. [00:47:38] Speaker A: You guys know you were gone for, like, a week, right? Oh, we. Yeah, I didn't hang around where I was, but I. I headed back after the first day. [00:47:50] Speaker D: Yeah, it makes sense. [00:47:55] Speaker A: Damn. [00:47:55] Speaker C: We gotta stop going to the underworld. [00:47:59] Speaker B: Yeah, time gets real funny down there. [00:48:01] Speaker D: Andre's just immediately taking out his phone and texting Mia again with updates, as he usually does. [00:48:09] Speaker A: Okay, so what happened to him? [00:48:16] Speaker D: Well, Moira. [00:48:21] Speaker B: I mean, to expand upon that, you know, there was some touching, and then he got real excited, had a. Had a. Had a vision and then told me something weird and then fell asleep. [00:48:33] Speaker D: I think Laura kind of forced the vision on him, and he was ready for it. [00:48:39] Speaker A: Wait, you had a threesome with a ghost? [00:48:42] Speaker C: Oh, my God. [00:48:43] Speaker B: Kind of, but not like, you know, in that kind of way. [00:48:47] Speaker A: I'm confused. [00:48:50] Speaker D: We saw Moira in Elysium. She kissed him. He had that vision. Told us to be careful when handling some kind of feather and then just immediately pass the out. [00:49:02] Speaker A: Huh. Weird. [00:49:05] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:49:05] Speaker A: Gonna be okay. [00:49:07] Speaker D: Apparently, he just needs rest. His ichor's been kind of pushed. Strained thin. [00:49:14] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. I've done that before. That sucks, really. Didn't have a vision, but. Yeah. No, I pushed myself too hard. Tried to do too much too fast. When I first. After I first met my dad. [00:49:32] Speaker B: Do you know anyone who can think? I. Do you know anyone who could take him to Damon's farm? [00:49:42] Speaker A: I mean, I'm sure I could find somebody, but there is the safe house. It's not terribly far from here. [00:49:54] Speaker D: I think that might just be easier. [00:49:57] Speaker B: Yeah, easier, But I figured, you know, if it's been a week, he probably should check in, but he can't, you know, with his partner. [00:50:06] Speaker A: Oh. I mean, I can send word. [00:50:08] Speaker D: Yeah, I can connect. I can send word, too. So I think. I think we'll be fine. [00:50:13] Speaker B: Okay. Good. Yeah. [00:50:16] Speaker A: All right, well, let's head for the safe house again. You guys can probably use a shower. [00:50:22] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:50:26] Speaker A: She gets everything moving, puts Clint to work at the oars. Because Clint always seems to appreciate hard labor. [00:50:34] Speaker B: Yes, ma'am. Happy to help distract myself from. What the hell's going on. Hand here, hand there, and we go. [00:50:41] Speaker A: Andre, are you the one who texts? Who exactly are you texting to give an update on Oliver? [00:50:49] Speaker D: I'm going to be texting as a. [00:50:51] Speaker A: Okay. She sends back, like, a frowny face emoji. Okay. Let me know if anything changes. He's welcome here. If you can find a way to get him here. [00:51:08] Speaker D: I will just go ahead and send back a thumbs up. Yeah, we'll see if we can't find someone to come pick him up. But we think the safe house would be best. He just needs rest, and moving him too much might make things worse, so we don't want to jostle him too much. [00:51:26] Speaker A: Okay. Alexander gets you relatively easily back to the mainland. You weren't too terribly far from it anyway. And you are able to get into the safe house, which Alexandra joins you at after tucking away her Myrmidons in pouch that they live in when she's not. When she doesn't have the mountain working. [00:51:50] Speaker B: Alexandra. [00:51:52] Speaker A: Yep? [00:51:55] Speaker B: Was that pouch given to you, or did you have it made? [00:52:00] Speaker A: What do you mean? [00:52:03] Speaker B: I mean, I'm just kind of curious if there are other folks who could make another bag like that. If I wanted to have an army of my own, you know? [00:52:13] Speaker A: I mean, the bag Came with the myrmidons, but I don't think there's anything particularly special about the bag itself. It's just what my dad gave me, and she. She holds it up, and it's, like, in crusted with, like, seashells and sea glass. [00:52:33] Speaker B: Okay. I thought, you know, maybe it was some kind of special one, but. So you can just. [00:52:39] Speaker A: Pretty big. [00:52:40] Speaker B: Yeah. You can just make them get tiny like that. Or is that, like, something all of them can do? [00:52:47] Speaker A: It's. I mean, I don't really understand it. I just know that when I don't need, you know, will them to go back in. [00:52:57] Speaker D: You also have to keep in mind the myrmidons are connected to the dodecathion, so they're more likely to work for, like, me or her than, well, you or Koda. [00:53:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:53:07] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, yeah. I was just kind of trying to figure out in. So, Cody, you remember when we were, you know, in the other underworld? The big scary one with the seeds and stuff? [00:53:21] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:53:23] Speaker B: And Gwen was there that time. [00:53:27] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:53:28] Speaker B: And then she made things pop out, like a big old army of undead, and then she did it again on the beach. [00:53:34] Speaker A: Yes. [00:53:36] Speaker B: So I. I kind of wonder, you know, I don't know if I want to, you know, bring out guys to do the same thing, but just wonder how it works. If I could, you know, if I could do something like that, too. That's all I'm figuring. [00:53:49] Speaker C: Why don't you ask your mom? [00:53:51] Speaker A: She. [00:53:51] Speaker B: That's a good idea. [00:53:52] Speaker C: Likes death and stuff, so she's definitely got to be able to. Or at the very least, maybe your siblings or however that works. [00:54:04] Speaker B: Yeah. Surely one of them will text back if she's busy. Yeah. Thank you. That's a. That's. I should have thought about that. Thank you. [00:54:11] Speaker A: Yeah. Well. [00:54:16] Speaker C: You'Re welcome. [00:54:20] Speaker A: Alexandra will unlock the safe house for you guys and let you guys make your way in. Once you're there, you're able to settle all of her into a room. Is there anything that anybody wants to do? [00:54:40] Speaker B: Clint just big grabs his cell phone and starts texting Mom. He's going to be asking her questions, that's all. [00:54:48] Speaker A: You do not immediately get any answers back. [00:54:51] Speaker B: Of course. [00:54:54] Speaker A: You did just see her after all. [00:54:56] Speaker B: Exactly. [00:54:59] Speaker A: Coda. Is there anything you want to do? [00:55:01] Speaker C: Yeah. Codable. Text net and then call her Mom. [00:55:06] Speaker A: What are you texting Ned about? [00:55:09] Speaker C: She's gonna text net. Hey, just want to let you know, we was in the underworld or the underground. I forget exactly what this one was called, but it was for the pretty Much. We saw Hades and Persephone and, you know, that crew. And I was able to get us into Elysium, saw Moira and wanted to pass along some words from her to you. She coda. Will then put said words because I personally don't remember them right now. We'll put said words that she said and then go. This isn't, you know, some kind of oh, love me again or something like that. Just wanted to let you know that, you know. [00:56:04] Speaker A: Okay. [00:56:05] Speaker C: She loves you still and wants you to, you know, take care of yourself and such. So I hope you're doing well. That's it. And that's it. [00:56:20] Speaker A: So you were just reaching out to Ned? I thought there was something else you. [00:56:23] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, sorry. That's it. As in that's all she sends in that message. Okay. And then she'll say, call for Pele one more time just to see if he shows up. But then while doing that, she's gonna call her mom. [00:56:40] Speaker A: Okay. Your phone. The phone rings and goes to voicemail. [00:56:50] Speaker C: It like, she'll do the sigh and then realize it caught on the voicemail and then go, hey, mom, we're supposed to be heading. Well, I'm assuming we're supposed to be heading to that at home eventually. Like soon, because. Well, now it's been a week and I was in the underground and time passed, but I'm assuming since that's the last one we have left to do. [00:57:26] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:57:27] Speaker C: So I'm heading there soon and just wanted to let you know I'd be in the area and I don't know, with our last text that we talked about, I was hoping I could meet my siblings or whatever. I don't. I don't know. Yeah, cool. Looking forward to seeing you if you're going to be there. Cool. All right, goodbye or have a good night. Bye. [00:57:59] Speaker A: All right. Andre, are you doing anything? [00:58:03] Speaker D: I. Andre's going to one, catch up Alexandra on how Moira's doing because Alexandra cared about Moira, too, because she was great. And then two, if there's a town nearby, he will go and get a. Like, a little gift jar of olives because he promised Mia that he would bring her back some olives. [00:58:28] Speaker A: All right, cool. I'm assuming everybody, like, takes a shower, gets some food, and then settles into sleep. [00:58:36] Speaker B: It sounds like a good idea now. [00:58:39] Speaker A: That you guys are back in, like, the regular world. It still only feels like it's been a day, but it's like the exhaustion of having been go, go, go for a week with no rest suddenly hits all of you. So, after taking care of your relatively simple tasks, everybody showers and eats and then settles in for the night, and you all drift off to sleep. Coda. [00:59:10] Speaker C: Yes. [00:59:13] Speaker A: You wake up in the middle of the night, and your chest feels heavy and the room feels exceptionally dark, and you're not entirely sure what woke you. [00:59:36] Speaker C: She'll lay there for a moment, and then we'll try to, like. All right. Cersei said, think of random shit. [00:59:49] Speaker A: Are you saying that out loud? [00:59:50] Speaker C: Yeah, she's saying that out loud to herself. Like, think of random shit. [00:59:53] Speaker A: You get bopped on the nose. [00:59:56] Speaker C: What the. [00:59:57] Speaker A: By a little furry paw. [00:59:59] Speaker C: She'll, like, look to it and go, Pelly. [01:00:05] Speaker A: Took you long enough to wake up. We have a visitor. [01:00:12] Speaker C: A good visitor. A bad visitor. What. What kind of visitor? [01:00:17] Speaker A: Turn the light on. [01:00:19] Speaker C: Turn the light on. [01:00:22] Speaker A: It is the middle of the night, Koda. Well, I can see. You can't. [01:00:30] Speaker C: Technically, I kind of. [01:00:33] Speaker A: If you want to expend energy. [01:00:36] Speaker C: Okay. She will, like, reach over and turn the light on. [01:00:41] Speaker A: And sitting in the corner of your. Well, not in the corner of your room, like, on the windowsill of the open window, is your mother, who is lounging there with a. A white Persian cat curled up next to her. Oh. [01:01:03] Speaker E: Hello, Koda. I am sorry I missed your call. I was having a. A delightful chat with a little Pele here, and my phone was on vibrate. [01:01:23] Speaker C: What was he saying about me? [01:01:27] Speaker E: Sworn to secrecy. Sorry. [01:01:30] Speaker C: He'll just look at Pele and then look at the staging goat. [01:01:35] Speaker A: Basically licks his paw and then grooms behind his ears. [01:01:41] Speaker C: Okay, so are you here bearing good news or. Well, are you giving us the labor? [01:01:54] Speaker E: Oh, I would not give the labor without your friends. That is not what I'm here. I am here mainly to check in, make sure you're still relatively healthy and alive, which is always a good thing. [01:02:15] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm. I'm fine. Yeah, I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm okay. You. You don't. I mean, you don't have to take time to come and check on me. Like, aren't you, like, busy being a God or something? [01:02:38] Speaker E: Why, yes, I am busy being a God or something. You are still my child. You are still my scion. And it would be in poor taste if I didn't at least come in and check in on you every once in a while. I know that when I had last texted you, you were going through some things, especially with that girl. [01:03:17] Speaker C: Oh, my God. We don't have to talk about that text. [01:03:24] Speaker E: We don't have to talk about it if you don't want to talk about it. But it is very obvious to me that you have a lot on your mind and you cannot lie to me. Nobody can lie to me. [01:03:42] Speaker C: Because of, like, abilities, or you're just saying, oh. [01:03:47] Speaker E: Okay, and maybe the abilities, but that's my secret. [01:03:56] Speaker C: Okay, well, maybe I'm not totally fine, but I had some time with Cersei and that was pretty interesting and fun, and I, like, vomited up all my trauma or something like that. That was crazy. And I guess I'm coming to terms with all this stuff that's happening. It is. [01:04:34] Speaker E: It is a lot. And I will not lie. It won't get easier, but as time goes on, you will learn mechanisms in which to cope with what is going on. Your power is shining. And I can see, see it. I have been keeping an eye on you. I am sure that you know that, though. [01:05:17] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:05:20] Speaker E: You are strong. You are a little rude to some people. [01:05:30] Speaker C: I'm working on it. [01:05:32] Speaker E: I know. I'm not saying that you aren't working on it. And I see you improve every day, and that is important, especially in your line of work. You're not dealing with the average person's affairs anymore. Every day that you feel your power growing stronger, things get increasingly more dangerous. I am here to make sure that you are aware that it is being noticed. Soon you'll grow into your power even more and things will get harder. But the means to cope with how hard things get will come more naturally. [01:06:45] Speaker C: Okay, so things are gonna get harder the better. I understand all of this. Yeah. [01:06:53] Speaker E: Think of it as real life. [01:06:57] Speaker C: This what. [01:07:01] Speaker E: As a person ages, you are faced with new challenges, but wisdom to better understand it. Just remember to always keep your eyes peeled. And like we talked about, when you can learn. Because sometimes the answers to your problems are buried in the books that you keep. Quick noting. [01:07:34] Speaker C: It's sparknote. [01:07:39] Speaker E: I guess that too. [01:07:44] Speaker C: Yeah, I, I, I'm, I'm going to, I'm going, I'm going to actually read things now because not going to lie, it looks bad when like Clint is eager to learn about things and I'm like, well, I'm not going to read about this whole part of my life that I guess low key, I've been searching about. So yeah, I'll look into it. Do you, do you know who's going to give us our labor? Should I not call someone a certain thing? [01:08:27] Speaker E: Oh, well, I mean, whoever is giving you your labor, you best treat with the utmost dignity, respect. And she kind of flips her hair back and. And folds her. Folds her arms together. Because if you don't, it'll be really weird when we go to the family reunion and say, yeah, I was kind of an. To my mother. And then she'll look and just give a little smirk. [01:08:56] Speaker C: Oh, so you are giving the. [01:09:00] Speaker E: I will let you in on that little secret. Yes. We had many arguments back and forth between the rest of the pantheon to see who should bear your final labor to you. Unfortunately, there goes a saying of, if you mess with the cat, you get the claws. And they quickly realized that I would probably be the most personable. I don't know why they tried to argue with me. I am very reasonable. [01:09:43] Speaker C: Exactly. See, why do people try to argue? Like, I could be a very reasonable person if you just, like, shut the up. That's it. [01:09:51] Speaker E: Like, so do you remember that whole rule that your grandmother taught you when you were little about respecting your elders? [01:10:01] Speaker C: Do it. [01:10:04] Speaker E: Very. [01:10:07] Speaker C: I see. [01:10:10] Speaker E: You need to. I know that's. Sometimes it is very hard to show respect, especially when it's other pantheons and you don't think you have a leg in their race. But the unfortunate slice of truth is that when you and your friends decided that they were going to take on these labors, your business became everybody's business. And it looks bad when I have to hear from other gods, from other pantheons that you try to pick fights with them, because that means I have to do damage control or they're less likely to work with your brothers and sisters. I respect that you are growing, and I respect that you are now open to learning, but you need to be mindful. [01:11:17] Speaker C: Yes, I will. [01:11:22] Speaker E: Because if I have to step in, I might be your mother, but I'm still vaguely responsible for a lot of other things. [01:11:38] Speaker C: Okay, I will stop being r. I will work towards being less rude to people. I mean, I called the Morgan ma'am, I think. No, I said miss, and then I asked her if she was married to know if I should say misses. So I'm really taking steps forward. [01:12:00] Speaker E: I am proud of you. I wish Pa was there for that conversation. [01:12:09] Speaker C: I'm working on it, Mom. [01:12:11] Speaker E: I'm proud of you. [01:12:13] Speaker C: Thank you. [01:12:14] Speaker E: Just remember that. And like all of your brothers and sisters, I'm always watching. I cannot get in the way much, but I can offer advice to the best of my abilities that won't mess with yours. [01:12:36] Speaker C: Okay. [01:12:38] Speaker E: Do you need anything while I am here? [01:12:49] Speaker C: Well, look, like, like, two things. One is not really like, I need it. It's more like I have a Question. And the other one's like, it's only if you really want to. So the first one is, I kind of want to figure out how to be more like, I guess a cat. I don't know how to say it, cuz I, I, I don't know. I just feel it. And when I see them, it feels weird that I can only talk to Pele. So, like, you know how you have, like, your horde of. Sorry, what are they called? Your group of cats? I don't want a group of cats, but I want to be able to talk to them because you could get information. So I don't know if you can teach me that. [01:13:43] Speaker E: I. How about this? I know that you and I talked about you coming to Egypt while you, when you had a little bit of free time. When your labors are done, I will introduce you to a sister of yours who has taken on the gift of gab with animals, and we can see about her possibly training you when things settle. [01:14:32] Speaker C: A sister. Okay. [01:14:34] Speaker E: Right. There's more than one of you, but. [01:14:40] Speaker C: I want to think about there. [01:14:42] Speaker E: There are a lot of things that you can learn when you're in the motherland. Maybe play, pay a homage to your aunts and uncles. That's a good way to learn about your history. [01:15:05] Speaker C: I have a family now. [01:15:09] Speaker E: Yes. And we're all old and decrepit, so be careful what you say. [01:15:16] Speaker C: All right, Last thing. Not too important, but, like, could I, like, get a hug or something? You don't have to do it, though. But it was like. [01:15:26] Speaker E: And she'll instantly go and just wrap her arms around you, and she'll just very gently, just kind of curl her fingers through your braids. And very gently, just, just like, run her fingers quickly through before just like, focusing a hand on your back. You are doing okay. You are doing great. We will give you your labor and you will succeed. You just need to be mindful and perceptive and think before you act. [01:16:26] Speaker C: Okay, thanks. Thank you. [01:16:38] Speaker E: And please buffer your friend. I have seen him interact with the other gods and ask for their phone number. Just let him know that having mine bears a lot of responsibility. [01:17:07] Speaker C: You, like, pull away from the hook for a second. What does that mean? What? [01:17:12] Speaker E: I've seen him try to interact with the other gods. Like I said, it's very easy to keep tabs on your group. I have a. And then she'll point to Pele. [01:17:25] Speaker C: Oh, okay. I thought you meant, like, you were gonna, like, not like. [01:17:30] Speaker E: No, no. [01:17:31] Speaker C: Yeah, Okay. I was gonna be like, I don't know if I Could do that. Or like. Okay. [01:17:37] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. [01:17:40] Speaker C: Okay. That's. Yeah. I'll tell him to not. [01:17:45] Speaker E: Not abuse if I give it to him. [01:17:51] Speaker C: Okay. [01:17:54] Speaker E: But you need your sleep. Your body is tired, your mind is tired, and your soul is tired, too. And I can tell. So when you wake up, I will be here waiting for you and your group because I need you guys to start this as soon as possible. [01:18:23] Speaker C: All right? Good night. Good. Good night, Mom. [01:18:31] Speaker E: And she'll. She'll actually help Koda get back into bed comfortably. Give her a little forehead kiss. And then a bunch of cats appear. And suddenly beset's. [01:18:48] Speaker A: Okay. Bastet, the goddess of cats, tucks in her child. And then there's a bunch of cats at the window. And she steps out of the window, and there's maybe more cats. It's hard to tell. There was a lot to begin with, but she's gone. And everybody has the opportunity to sleep through the night. Everybody is going to get, let's say, one temporary willpower and three legend points back as you all sleep under the watchful eye of perhaps more than one. In the morning, you are all woken up by something heavy kind of knocking against each of your doors. And the sound of something scuttling up and down the hallway. [01:20:01] Speaker B: The hell. Let's go see what it is. [01:20:06] Speaker A: And you hear from the bottom of the stairs, guys. [01:20:13] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:20:14] Speaker A: We have company. I think she's getting impatient. [01:20:20] Speaker B: All right. Hands on. Get a shirt on. [01:20:25] Speaker A: Koda. Koda. When you wake up, Pele is asleep on your chest. Or he was asleep. When that heavy knock comes at the door, you are woken up by the pinpricks of tiny claws as it startles. Emma wake. [01:20:39] Speaker C: Yeah. And she'll just go, all, em. [01:20:42] Speaker A: All. Sorry. [01:20:43] Speaker C: And then we'll. Yep. I fully get it. She'll like, pet them and then, like, just hold them and start to get ready to go downstairs. [01:20:50] Speaker A: Holding him purrs quite happily. [01:20:56] Speaker C: You make her way down. [01:20:58] Speaker A: You all arrive downstairs at about the same time to find familiar. I don't know if Clint has ever met Bastet. I don't think he has. [01:21:08] Speaker B: Nope, not yet. [01:21:10] Speaker A: Familiar to only one of you, but clearly Egyptian. A woman sitting on the couch surrounded by, I don't know, at least five or six cats of various types is a woman. And she has what looks like one of those tiny, like, espresso cups. And Alexandra is there and just looks nervous. [01:21:42] Speaker B: Good morning, ma'am. Hold on. I gotta put some coffee on real quick. [01:21:48] Speaker E: No need. I have already had some made for the three of you. You Will have an early morning. [01:21:54] Speaker A: This morning, Alexandra has. Alexandra turns and picks up a tray with three espresso cups on it and turns to have you each take one. And as you look at her, she is white knuckling that tray. Apparently, she was the one tasked with making the coffee. And you get the feeling she's never made coffee for a God before. [01:22:20] Speaker B: Thank you, Alexandra. Have a sip of this real quick. [01:22:24] Speaker C: Thanks, Alexandra. And she'll just look at her and go, I'm sure you did fine. [01:22:33] Speaker A: Huh? [01:22:35] Speaker B: Does it taste fine? [01:22:37] Speaker A: Yeah, it tastes okay. It's very strong, but it doesn't taste. [01:22:44] Speaker D: Bad, just how I like it, where I can chew it. [01:22:50] Speaker B: You're not supposed to eat the cup. Just drink the coffee. [01:22:55] Speaker C: You guys, there's a God here. [01:22:57] Speaker D: I know. That's why I'm not saying anything. [01:22:59] Speaker B: Oh, is that why? Oh. Gotcha. Oh. So hold on, Alexandra. [01:23:03] Speaker A: Alexandra looks a coda. Maybe you should introduce. [01:23:06] Speaker C: I am. I am. I was just waiting. Every one. This is my mom. But more than being my mother, this is Bastet, the God. This goddess. [01:23:35] Speaker E: You're getting there, Coda. [01:23:37] Speaker C: Thank you. The goddess of cats and many other great things. And the person giving us our labor. [01:23:51] Speaker B: Well, what a lovely name for a lovely goddess. Nice to meet you, ma'am. I'm Clint Brazos, a scion of the Morgan. [01:24:00] Speaker E: And she gently reaches out a hand for him to take, and he takes. [01:24:05] Speaker B: It and, you know, does the whole overly gentlemanly bend and kiss of the knuckles and. Oh, sorry. A little old fashioned. I've been still waking up. [01:24:16] Speaker E: No need to worry. Sometimes the more old fashioned stuff is a nice breath of fresh air. [01:24:25] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Oh, and this here's my friend. Hey, come on. Say hello, Andre. [01:24:34] Speaker D: Good morning, ma'am. I'm Andre Briscoe. I'm a scion of Hephaestus of the Dodecathion. It's an honor to meet you. [01:24:43] Speaker E: Ah, Mr. Andre. You have been a topic amongst some of my friends. I hear that your inventions are something to behold. [01:25:01] Speaker D: Uh, I take great pride in my work, ma'am. And then he's just kind of like sweating bullets, like. Oh, God, why are gods talking about me? [01:25:13] Speaker C: Oliver couldn't be here. [01:25:16] Speaker E: I heard about what had happened to Mr. Oliver, and I hope that he has a speedy recovery. However, this unfortunately cannot wait for him to get back into shape. It is lovely to meet all of your. All of your friends. Coda. A friend of Coda is a ally of mine. And before you ask, Mr. Clint. [01:25:46] Speaker C: Yes, ma'am. [01:25:47] Speaker E: I have. I have been. I have Been hearing about your endeavors to make contacts with some of the other gods, and she's just gonna hand him a business card with a phone number on it. [01:26:06] Speaker B: Oh, thank you. I mean, I would figure I was gonna ask after we helped you out, but that makes it easier. Thank you. [01:26:11] Speaker C: All right, don't text her a ton. [01:26:14] Speaker B: No, no, I'll just send you a text real quick, let you know it's me. This is okay, but. And there you go. [01:26:21] Speaker E: Wonderful. I will check it in a moment. But if you all need anything that is realistic in your expectations, I have been known to be quite generous, especially when it comes to family, whether blood or found, so. But as much as I would love to get to know all of my daughters, we unfortunately do not have all day. [01:27:03] Speaker B: Right. You said it's a time sensitive matter. [01:27:07] Speaker E: Yes. So I would just like to say congratulations on completing the Labors that you have so far. I have gotten to witness every single one of them that you have done, and let me say, I am both shocked and impressed all at once. [01:27:30] Speaker B: Well, we don't mean to shock you none, but I'm. Well, I'm glad to hear that you're impressed. [01:27:39] Speaker E: No. All of the Labors that you have had from the various pantheons have come with their own trials and tribulations, risks and rewards. But as one of the oldest pantheons, we found that it be the right thing to give you your final one. [01:28:05] Speaker B: Wait, this is the last one? This is. [01:28:08] Speaker E: It is. [01:28:09] Speaker B: Man, it feels like just yesterday we were working on the first one. [01:28:13] Speaker C: It sure does not feel like that. [01:28:16] Speaker B: Okay. [01:28:17] Speaker C: Sorry. For me, I shouldn't talk about your perception of this. [01:28:26] Speaker B: I mean, I'm just saying time flies when you're having fun with good folks. [01:28:34] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:28:37] Speaker E: Well, I am glad that it has been fun. Hopefully giving you a taste of a little bit of the stories from each of them that you have served. My job, though simple on paper, is not as simple as one would hope. I am in the market for a feather. This is no ordinary feather that I am looking for. There is a top security building in Alexandria in Egypt, and there is a very delicate feather that is being guarded, likely intended to be sold. To whom? I do not know. All I know is that I need that feather. It is being guarded by fallen scions and Titan spawn. Your job is to retrieve it and bring it back to me. I will warn you that it is the feather from an angel of Akaten, who is the Titan of Light for my pantheon. It is extremely delicate, very fragile, so do not break it or you will Reap the repercussions, which could be fatal. [01:30:40] Speaker B: Something awfully familiar about this. [01:30:47] Speaker D: Oliver say something about that? With his vision? [01:30:51] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:30:54] Speaker E: I'm sorry. [01:30:57] Speaker B: Go ahead. I didn't mean to interrupt. I'm sorry. [01:30:59] Speaker E: No, no, no. You are. You are. Okay. For those who might not know, our pantheon is directly connected with angels, as Akatan is what many believe to be the modern day Christianity, he has managed to pull the biggest scam over many, many, many people over hundreds of years. He is who they worship as the God with the capital G. Therefore, his angels are very powerful. They feed off of worship. And the people who guard that feather that I need are new, are large in number inventory, very powerful. I recommend you do not get into any fights, because if you do, you will be outnumbered. You will be outstrengthed. You need to make sure that you get that feather before it's sold off, too. Unfortunately, I can't say much more. Do not drop it. Do not break it. Do not let anybody else get their hands on it. Because the last thing I need to do is potentially say goodbye to another child. There are a lot of things in this world that are going on right now, things that not even the three of you are able to comprehend. And usually, with this type of job, I would send an army with you. But unfortunately, there are some other matters that my children need to take care of on the sides while you all go and retrieve this feather for us. [01:33:34] Speaker B: Okay. I do have a question for you. [01:33:42] Speaker E: Yes. [01:33:43] Speaker B: So whenever we've been tasked with, like, transport and stuff that's particularly important or fragile, there's a box of some sort involved. Do you have, like, a container for your feather, or should we just be real careful? Why? We hold it by the end or something? Do you advise. [01:34:02] Speaker E: Do not have a box. I will rely on you guys to be creative. That's where the challenge comes in. You. The only thing that I will be able to provide you is with the means to get to Alexandria. After that, it is up to the three of you to figure it out. Put those gifts that you have to the test. Be smart. Do not rush into things, because rushing into things is what will get you killed. [01:34:43] Speaker B: Okay? [01:34:44] Speaker E: And I mean it. Do not dilly dally with this. I have a lot of love and respect for this group. You both have treated my daughter very well. And I will be there. Once you've retrieved it, Pelle will guide you to me, and I will have a dinner waiting for the three of you. [01:35:17] Speaker B: Wait, you mean like dinner tonight? [01:35:19] Speaker E: Dinner? When you retrieve my. My. My Item. [01:35:26] Speaker B: Okay. I just didn't know if you were saying that. That's when we got a bit back by. Okay. [01:35:36] Speaker E: You three, when you put your heads together, can accomplish a lot. I have seen it. And just remember Koda. [01:35:49] Speaker C: Yes? [01:35:50] Speaker E: Be perceptive. And she's going to take out an envelope and she's going to hand it to Koda. And inside are three first class tickets to Alexandria by plane. [01:36:10] Speaker A: Whoa. [01:36:11] Speaker C: First class seats. Whoa. [01:36:15] Speaker B: Is that the ones where you get the drinks and the food? [01:36:17] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:36:18] Speaker C: And maybe like a blanket or something. [01:36:20] Speaker B: Hell, yeah. [01:36:21] Speaker C: I mean, I know we saw, like underworlds and above worlds and stuff, but I've never had first class flight. [01:36:32] Speaker E: It is a good opportunity for you three to properly rest while your flights take off. Make sure that you eat and give yourself time to breathe and think. [01:36:50] Speaker B: Okay, I think we can do that. [01:36:54] Speaker E: I will have eyes on you. You will not know where I am, but I always have eyes on the three of you. [01:37:05] Speaker B: Man, it's rude to stare, but feel free. It's okay. [01:37:10] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh. Thanks for doing this. Or thanks for it being you doing this instead of, I don't know, someone that hates us incredibly and I don't know. [01:37:26] Speaker E: Don't worry, I only mildly dislike you on a good day. [01:37:30] Speaker C: Aw. [01:37:33] Speaker E: I am joking. I want you three to succeed. It is very important to not just the three of you, but to me that you three succeed. We don't want that feather getting into the wrong hands. And inside that envelope will also be the address to the building that you will be required to go to. [01:38:05] Speaker B: Okay. [01:38:09] Speaker E: She gets up and finishes off the last bit of her coffee. Your plane will leave in three hours. I will make sure that you get to the airport on time. And good luck. And she's going to rest a hand on Koda. You will do great. And then she'll give Andre and Clint both little taps on the cheek and just like, a little reassuring pattern. And then the herd of cats will go and just rub up on all of them, given, like, little, like, good luck purrs and, like, little licks and, you know, make biscuits on their, like, legs for a second before following Basset to the door. Do the three of you require anything else before I take off? [01:39:11] Speaker B: We got the tickets. We got a way to get there. Oh, do you have, like, all black outfits? That way we can be super stealthy as a team and look all the same. [01:39:25] Speaker E: There is a Walmart down the street. I can give you money to go get them yourself. [01:39:29] Speaker C: Yeah, no, no, I. I got it, Mom, I got it. Thank You. [01:39:36] Speaker E: I was joking about the Walmart, by the way. [01:39:38] Speaker C: Oh, there's no Walmart there. [01:39:40] Speaker E: There is no Walmart. That is a very North American thing. [01:39:45] Speaker C: You don't have Walmart in Greece. [01:39:48] Speaker B: Well, they got Grease in Walmart. [01:39:51] Speaker C: Nice. She offer a hand for a high five? [01:39:54] Speaker B: He goes in for the high five. [01:39:55] Speaker D: Audrey is busy rubbing his temples. [01:39:57] Speaker B: Currently. [01:40:00] Speaker A: Alexandra looks like she wants to beat Clint with the tray. [01:40:06] Speaker E: Ms. Alexandra. [01:40:10] Speaker A: Yes. Yes, ma'am. [01:40:11] Speaker E: Thank you for your service and for your help. And thank you for being so good to them. And she'll give Alexandra a little pat on the cheek, too, before she gives a polite bow. I will see you all in Egypt. Good luck. And she'll head out. [01:40:35] Speaker B: Thank you, ma'am. [01:40:36] Speaker A: All right. Bastet slips out the door, and all of the cats, save for Pele, leave. Alexandra immediately gives a heavy breath and sits down hard on one of the chairs. I. Do you have any idea how terrifying it is to come down for breakfast in your PJs and there's a God that you've never met sitting on the couch? [01:41:06] Speaker C: That was, like, my first, like, week being a scion. Like, different gods. [01:41:12] Speaker A: Okay, sure, but they were gods, like, associated with you and your friends. She doesn't have any. I've. I've never met that woman. I swear to God. The whole time, I felt like she and the cats were looking at me like I was the next snack. [01:41:25] Speaker C: Well, you are one, but. [01:41:28] Speaker B: Oh. Clint offers the high five that she high five back. [01:41:33] Speaker A: I feel like that's American slang. I don't understand. It's. [01:41:36] Speaker D: It's a sex thing. [01:41:38] Speaker C: No, it's not. [01:41:39] Speaker B: It's an attraction thing. [01:41:41] Speaker C: Yeah. Like, you know, like, when you see something, like, I don't know, what's a good food here? That cheese thing that you talked about that one time? You look at it and you're like, I really want that. So it's like, oh, that's a snack. So then we also want a snack. [01:41:55] Speaker A: So it is a sex snack, but. [01:41:56] Speaker B: No, you don't have to eat it, you know? [01:41:58] Speaker C: Yeah, well, you can, like, admire a snack. [01:42:02] Speaker A: And you should just stop talking. The more you talk, the deeper this hole gets, and I. I can't. I'm gonna. I'm. I'm gonna go drink. [01:42:13] Speaker B: Okay. [01:42:14] Speaker D: Fun with that. [01:42:15] Speaker A: I'm assuming you guys need somebody to stay with Oliver while you're busy. [01:42:19] Speaker B: Yeah, that'd be for the best. Do you think you're available? [01:42:24] Speaker A: I mean, I had. Had things I could be doing, but nothing super pressing, so I guess I can take A few days. [01:42:32] Speaker B: I mean, it sounds like we ain't got much time to get this taken care of, so it should only be a little bit. [01:42:38] Speaker D: Would really appreciate it. [01:42:40] Speaker A: I'll stay with him. And if I can get a psychopomp or somebody to take him back to Damon's, I may move him. Because I do. I do have my own things to do. [01:42:48] Speaker B: But, yeah, I mean, it'd be a good idea if, you know, Astarope. Got to check in on him, make sure he's doing okay. That's a good idea. [01:43:00] Speaker A: All right, well, yeah, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go have my breakfast. My liquid breakfast. And she heads for the breakfast for the. Heads for the kitchen breakfast, the most. [01:43:15] Speaker D: Important drink of the day. [01:43:18] Speaker B: You know, speaking of, I'd be offering to make it, but it sounds like we gotta get packed and head over to the airport. [01:43:24] Speaker D: Yeah, let's just focus on getting on the plane and getting there, and then we can figure out how we're gonna get in, how we're gonna get out, that kind of. We actually see the building. [01:43:35] Speaker C: Let's just make sure we grab Mr. B's backpack, cuz he has literally all of our things. And the apple juice and the seeds. [01:43:46] Speaker B: And the glow sticks. [01:43:47] Speaker C: And the glow sticks. And my toaster strudels. Although they're kind of. I don't know, I've kind of been losing an appetite for them. But it's nice to have them around, I guess. [01:44:00] Speaker B: Well, what are you craving more now these days? [01:44:06] Speaker C: Hugs? [01:44:08] Speaker E: I'm kidding. [01:44:09] Speaker C: I'm kidding. No, I'm kidding. [01:44:10] Speaker A: I'm so kidding. [01:44:11] Speaker C: Oh, my God. We gotta go. Why are we doing this? She'll let herself be hugged, but then at some point we'll be like, all right, let go. [01:44:23] Speaker A: All right, let's go. [01:44:25] Speaker B: All right. [01:44:26] Speaker A: Like, at first, Koda just sort of limply, like, succumbs to the hug, and then when it keeps going, she's like, all right, get off me. I'm. I'm nicer. I'm not that nice. Yeah. All right. Is there anything anybody wants to do before you go and get on the. [01:44:45] Speaker B: We need anything from the store, you think? [01:44:51] Speaker D: I kind of got everything that I would need. I think before we go, it might not be a bad idea. This place has got an address, which means it might have some kind of public record about it. So I can see if I can't figure out more with a quick search on the phone. So I'll go ahead and take care of that. Y'all, if you need anything. You can take care of that. [01:45:13] Speaker A: Andre? [01:45:15] Speaker D: Yes. [01:45:16] Speaker A: What exactly are you trying to look up? [01:45:20] Speaker D: Any information about this building, like anything that would be in public records, like maybe mortal floor plans, that kind of thing. [01:45:31] Speaker A: Do you have any skill in computers and such? [01:45:35] Speaker D: I do have a dot of computer science. [01:45:38] Speaker A: Well, let's see how far a dot can get you roll me. Intelligence and Science Computers. [01:45:56] Speaker D: Nine successes. My Google FU is astounding. [01:46:00] Speaker A: Yeah. Especially considering that most of what you're looking up is in Egyptian or Arabic, I believe is the predominant language. [01:46:09] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:46:12] Speaker A: So you are able to find at least the original plans for the building. You have no idea if it's been altered. You can't find any record of any sort of like, rezoning thing or plans that have been filed anywhere. But you also don't know exactly what the laws are there and if they would have had to have, you know, gotten zoning permissions to work on the building more. The first thing you realize is that this was when it was originally built, a fairly well fortified, like, warehouse. It's in like the docks part of Alexandria where where like ships come in and they unload their cargo. Cargo frequently gets stored here, or at least used to get stored there. Probably less so now that most people rely on container ships. But it looks like the building hasn't been abandoned. Been in. It's been in pretty steady use over the years. It is registered to an llc, so it's impossible to see who owns it. But it's. It is a fairly large building. So there is a lot of potential for what could have been like if. If they changed anything, they could have changed a whole lot because it's. It's a pretty big building. It's the equivalent of four or five stories, though, because it was a. Because it's built as a. At least the plans show it being a warehouse. Most of that is probably would have been more open when it was built, based on the plans that you're seeing. Does that make sense? [01:48:06] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:48:07] Speaker A: Like, it probably would have been like three. Three. The equivalent of three stories would have been very open. And then like the top two floors would have been a little bit more segregated for whether it be offices or just smaller. [01:48:21] Speaker D: Right. [01:48:26] Speaker A: You can see that there is. It is connected to like sewage lines and oh my goodness, to like this. The sewers themselves. Like, it looks like there's probably like. Or at least would have at some point been like grates that would have drained into a sewer. So it's connected to water and sewage and power and. [01:49:00] Speaker D: Okay. [01:49:02] Speaker A: Is there anything else that you were looking for specifically, you've rolled enough that I will let you like, query a little bit more. And if I tell you that I don't think you could find just that'll be that. [01:49:13] Speaker D: Fair enough. Well, since Spestet said that this place, this thing was going to be sold off, I'm going to see if maybe I can't also find any information about the auction and like what or who might all possibly be there. So we can get an idea if it's like something we could mingle in or if it's. [01:49:30] Speaker A: Well, to clarify. To clarify, the building isn't going to be sold on. She is guessing that the feather is meant to be sold on. [01:49:38] Speaker D: Right. I was just meaning if the auction is going to be at this building. If it's not, then I'll just see if maybe I can't find out a bit more about where the utilities meet. So that way, if need be, we could possibly like cut the power or something to get either as a distraction or just to give us a little more wiggle room to work with when we have to break in and grab this thing. [01:50:01] Speaker A: From what you can find, there is no information on any sort of auction happening there. You're guessing that if this thing is being sold, it is not something that's going to be posted up on. On like Reddit or something. However, you are easily able to figure out where the connections to the power that stuff are. That's all part of the original plans. That's easy. [01:50:26] Speaker D: Awesome. I will go ahead and if there's like a way for me to download a the floor plan onto my phone, I will and then start absolutely making a little notes about where we can like cut power or where we can maybe have a transformer or something blow to cause a distraction to give us more room to maneuver and wiggle room inside while we're pulling this off. [01:50:50] Speaker A: That is easily done. You are also able to use if like this world's like effective version of Google Maps or not Google Maps, Google Earth to get a look at least at a glimpse of what the area looked like within the last year or two. There are buildings around it. None of them are super, super close, but they're not far away either, if that makes sense. It's like none of them is more than like a football field or two away. And so those might be options for you to like stake out at. Maybe you can kind of, you don't know what the current lighting, but you can kind of get the feeling of if it were you, where you to Keep it well lit and things like that. So, okay, that. That is all. Easily recovered information or easily uncovered is about putting it sweet. And because you rolled nine, I will tell you that as you were through, get kind of a hunch, and you are able to, even though hacking isn't really your forte, you were able to kind of backdoor your way into the power company to find the account, which, again, is registered under an llc, so it's not give you any names, but it does show you their, like, bills and usage. They're drawing a pretty heavy amount of power to that. More than just a standard warehouse would. Would require. [01:52:34] Speaker B: Right. [01:52:38] Speaker D: I figured. Okay, does it have any, like, notes about where the power might be drawn from within the building, or is it just like. This building's got a whole lot of more. [01:52:54] Speaker A: It's just use. It's just use information. [01:52:56] Speaker D: Got it. Okay. [01:53:01] Speaker A: All right. Anything else that anybody wants to do before you get on the plane? [01:53:07] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. You go first. [01:53:11] Speaker B: Clint has, on the way towards the airport, had a very short little note in his notebook of how to hide a feather. And so far, his choices are in a box or in a hat. So he's going to look for a hat at the airport to see if there's something that has a band where a feather could fit into. [01:53:34] Speaker A: Okay, just roll me a single D10. [01:53:40] Speaker B: We got a 5. [01:53:51] Speaker A: You are unable to find any hat? No. [01:53:54] Speaker B: All right. That one quickly gets scribbled out as they're sitting at the airport terminal. Then. [01:54:02] Speaker A: Coda. [01:54:03] Speaker C: Coda. Two things before they leave. She's going to say to Alexander, sandra, thanks for helping us. I'd like, if we kept in contact as friends, like, to, like, keep talking because you were like, oh, do you realize that you're like when we talked in the beach. So I think it would be sick if I had a friend that was a scion and I could talk to. [01:54:35] Speaker A: You've got my number. Sick. [01:54:40] Speaker C: Cool. Try not to die, you guys. [01:54:42] Speaker A: I won't know what to do with your friend's body or what to tell him. [01:54:47] Speaker C: Yeah. Leaves a note for Mr. B. But it will be. I will say what it says later. And on the plane, Slash, preparing for the plane and such, Coda will actually start to download a book on, like, Egyptian myths so she can start to understand. [01:55:17] Speaker A: I love that Coda's gonna take the time to study. Yeah. [01:55:24] Speaker C: If only Mr. B could see this. Yeah, she's going to study. Specifically, I would say she's going to try to find and focus on or keep her ears open for things that. [01:55:36] Speaker A: Relate to, like, feathers. [01:55:44] Speaker C: What else did her. Like a 10 and. Or at 10, you know, just stuff that her mom mentioned as well. She's gonna try to be like, all right, let me try to figure out what exactly is going on here and what we should look out for. [01:56:00] Speaker A: Okay. The first issue that you run into is that the. The name that your mother give. Gave you in its, like, in the form that she gave it to you isn't in the book. You find names that are similar. You find, like, the name Aten, which is similar because the name of the. Of the Titan that she gave you is Akhetaten. The. There's a lot of talk in the book about the fact that because it's been so long and most of the sources for Egyptian mythology are the hieroglyphics, which aren't always clear, and there have been, over the years, different ways of interpreting them. It is hard to tell if Aquatan was like, his own God or just one of the names Ra had. And you've met Ra. It is hard to tell exactly who that is. If there was ever a Titan associated with the Egyptian mythology that you are. You do know that sunlight and the sun in and of itself are both very important parts of mythology, which should be pretty, like, clear to you, given your particular gifts, but is also. How do you say? It is also one of those. One of those things because, like, Ra was son more than some other parts of the pantheon. It's all a little confusing and not something you terrible by. Given. Not. Hold on. I'm sorry. I realized discord is being difficult with my microphone. It's not something that you find terribly surprising that there's, like, mixed information and that it's hard to. Too hard to figure out exactly what's going on. This is, after all, a mortal book, but you are getting more insight on the other gods in your pantheon, which is helpful. [01:58:25] Speaker C: Good. Yeah. That's what she's doing. And taking notes. [01:58:33] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. Kota Masoi taking notes. If only Oliver was here to see it. He'd be so proud. Let's hope you don't die before you can tell him. [01:58:45] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:58:47] Speaker A: All right. Thankfully, the flight is not overly long. It only takes about six hours, give or take. And you guys are. You guys have a direct flight, and you're in first class, so it is pretty comfortable. You are served food and drinks and get to kind of ride in style. You get some weird looks. You're an odd bunch, but, you know, you get there easily. It looks like there was even extra paid so that Pele and Ian could go. Though both have to be kept in carriers. [01:59:32] Speaker B: Sorry, buddy. I appreciate your sacrifice. [01:59:38] Speaker A: Ian, before you get him onto the plane is basically promises to settle. But he wants all of the change in your pocket. [01:59:46] Speaker B: All right. How about I give you half now and then half once we land? [01:59:49] Speaker A: Nope. I want all of it here. [01:59:54] Speaker B: I was hoping to buy a soda on the way. All right. Here you go. And Flint will empty his pocket. [02:00:00] Speaker A: All right. He proceeds to play with the shinies on the plane and that is what keeps him busy for the six hours. Pele is pretty laid back. Pele is fine. He's got a comfy carrier and mostly curls up and sleeps. [02:00:19] Speaker C: Yeah. Coda's also just focused on studying and listening to music. So she's. You know. [02:00:27] Speaker A: Basically. [02:00:28] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:00:33] Speaker A: All right. You all land in Alexandria. You are able to get through customs, no problem. You all realize as you are passing through customs that there. And you realize how fast it is. I'd say that Andre with his high intelligence is the one who thinks to look at Yalls passports or at least to look at his to see why they let. Why they waved you through so fast. And you all realize that there. There is like. There are new little markings and stamps that you don't necessarily recognize what they are or what they mean. But they do seem to inspire the mortal authorities to just kind of, you know, wave you through and wish you well. [02:01:21] Speaker C: Wow. This is some crazy stuff. [02:01:29] Speaker B: Maybe we could put those on other things and have similar effect. [02:01:38] Speaker C: Huh? That's a good idea. But let's. What is it? Bookmark it until after this. Yeah, yeah. [02:01:57] Speaker B: I was just. I wasn't saying we had to do it right now. I was just kind of curious. Isn't. [02:02:01] Speaker C: Yeah. I like the idea though. Like if we can keep getting through other places, it's easier. Huh? [02:02:09] Speaker B: It's kind of like having a white construction helmet. Hard hat. That's what they're called. [02:02:15] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Or a badge. Coda is completely taken by the fact that we're also in Alexandria. She's like looking at sweaters, keychains, everything under the sun, but is also actively trying to remember that we do have something we need to do. [02:02:41] Speaker D: Yeah. Let's not spend too much on Sassian. [02:02:43] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a good idea. Hey, that actually. Andre, I got an idea. Kind of sort of lay it on me. Oh, you make things clearly. And you're pretty good at it. [02:02:57] Speaker D: Yeah. [02:02:58] Speaker B: Do you think you could make something for us to keep the feather in, to keep it safe? [02:03:05] Speaker D: Honestly, probably I need a little bit of time, but we got a little bit of time. Just as long as we don't go wasting it here. Come up with something like that, and if we can find a convenience store, I could maybe figure out something we could do for, like, a distraction, since they said this place is going to have all kinds of ones like us that are on the wrong side of things. [02:03:33] Speaker B: Good point. [02:03:34] Speaker D: Yeah, and we don't want to have to go fighting all of them when it's just the three of us. So if we can get them away from wherever we're supposed to be going, then leave us a better chance of getting out of here with all of our pieces intact. [02:03:50] Speaker B: Do you think we should maybe wear disguises, too? [02:03:56] Speaker D: Ah, maybe. It's not really too much of an issue about them not knowing who we are. I mean, the whole thing about our stick is that everyone knows that it happened. You know the legend, right? [02:04:11] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. That's a good point. Yeah. [02:04:13] Speaker C: Yeah. I think we just don't want to even be seen. [02:04:16] Speaker D: Yeah, we just want to try to get in without being seen by as many things as possible. Grab the feather, get out. [02:04:23] Speaker B: Oh, well, in that case, how about instead of making something to keep the feather and you make one of them things from that, you know, or that young wizard book? What, with the. The blanket that makes them turn invisible? Do you think you can do that? [02:04:37] Speaker D: I don't really have the ability to make anything that's magic or anything like that. I just got the ability to make, well, mortal things really, really fast. [02:04:47] Speaker C: Oh. [02:04:50] Speaker B: Are you so invisible. Do you know, like, invisibility Capes ain't real. [02:04:56] Speaker D: Not in my purview. Maybe someone else's. Sounds kind of more like a Hermes thing. Really? [02:05:02] Speaker B: I meant, like, with the science thing, where you're, like. I don't know, I thought. Never mind. [02:05:09] Speaker D: Actual cloaking technology is still a ways out. Dad's probably closer to it, but I don't got the schematics for it right now. I do, however, have the floor plan for the building that we're supposed to be going to. At least the floor plan from when it was first built. Something to go off of. [02:05:28] Speaker B: Oh, that should let us know where the doors and stuff are, at least the main ones. [02:05:32] Speaker D: Probably not anything for where exactly the feather is, but I do know that the feather is definitely there, given the amount of energy that's being drawn from this place. [02:05:46] Speaker C: And I know sunlight is pretty important in all of this, so. But you said energy is being drawn. [02:05:55] Speaker D: Yeah, Like, I'm guessing they're probably using it for like vaults and stuff. Yeah, Security systems, that kind of thing. [02:06:03] Speaker B: Oh, that kind. Entertainment energy. Not like magic energy. [02:06:06] Speaker D: No, like actual electricity. I got the statement from the utilities. [02:06:11] Speaker C: Well, do we want to get lunch in the area and maybe stake out that place? [02:06:18] Speaker D: Yeah, we can get some food and I actually got a few of the close by buildings that we can probably stake out at and keep an eye on things, see like who goes in, who comes out, that kind of thing. [02:06:32] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:06:32] Speaker A: Okay. [02:06:35] Speaker C: Drink sounds pretty smart. Get lunch and steak out. [02:06:44] Speaker D: Let's do it. [02:06:46] Speaker B: Yeah. Figure once we get to where we're going to go and eat at, I'll have Ian go up above, maybe take a peek around too, see if he sees anything of note. And maybe we can find a way in or what people are using to get in and out of there. [02:07:07] Speaker D: Probably a good idea, but let's try to keep it to a bit of a minimum given that we can sort of tell when thing if something's attached to the gods. And something tells me that the people in there might be able to do the same. [02:07:19] Speaker B: Oh, okay. [02:07:22] Speaker A: All right, you all head out into Alexandria and then down towards the docks and the water. Thankfully there are plenty of like street food places in and around the area. Maybe not any like right up on top of the building, but close enough that you could easily like walk and find a place to sit. And the streets are pretty busy because it is the middle of the day. So people are going back and forth, going back and forth, working. So not difficult to find food. We'll say that you guys stop at a like a food truck that is selling Hawashweek I think is how it's pronounced. It's a traditional sandwich made with minced. Minced meat marinated in onion, garlic and other seasonings. [02:08:21] Speaker B: Yes. [02:08:21] Speaker A: And it's just easy food to like carry with you. So. [02:08:27] Speaker B: Perfect. I'll take two. [02:08:31] Speaker A: You are, you are more than able to order as many as you would like and then you set off to take a walk and maybe find a place to plant yourselves. [02:08:40] Speaker D: Yep. [02:08:42] Speaker A: All right. I'm going to assume that you were looking for a place that keeps you well out of vision. So I'm not going to make you roll well out of them. Being able to see and spot you for what you are right away. [02:08:53] Speaker D: Right. [02:08:56] Speaker A: All right. You set up slightly down the block. It's within view, but you're not so close that you think that someone just like having a, you know, just scanning the area is likely to pick to pick up your presence right away. [02:09:14] Speaker B: So we just stare at them from. [02:09:16] Speaker D: Here or what we keep an eye out for, you know, where guards are stationed, who's coming in, who's going out, when they're coming in and going out, doorways, windows, anything that we can use to get in or in a pinch, get out, eh, as quick as possible. [02:09:35] Speaker A: I have a question. [02:09:37] Speaker D: Yes? [02:09:38] Speaker A: Have Pele and Ian been allowed out of their carriers yet? [02:09:42] Speaker B: Oh, absolutely. The moment we landed. [02:09:45] Speaker A: All right. Clint. Ian, during his time on the plane, occasionally would, like, peck at the bars until somebody gave him a part of one of their napkins or a piece of paper or. Or whatever. And you look at and you see that he is. He has begun to build a little nest with all of his shinies inside of it in the carrier. Pele kind of languidly climbed out of the carrier as soon as he was allowed, gave a little stretch, yawned, looked around, seemed right at home, really. Now that you are here, Pele is staring at the building and then kind of looking around and then looks over at Koda. Is there anything I can do to help? [02:10:36] Speaker C: Yeah. I was thinking, first, I was going to ask your opinion on the building. And then second, I was going to ask you if maybe you and I, or maybe you, since I would probably stick out like a sore thumb, talk to the neighborhood cats and see what they've seen, what they've heard in near the building, familiar faces, you know, I can do this. Okay. Be safe, okay? [02:11:13] Speaker A: I always am. [02:11:16] Speaker C: I'll get you something to eat, too. [02:11:19] Speaker A: And he gives a little flick of his tail and a purr and disappears down an alleyway. [02:11:27] Speaker D: Uh, hey, Koda. [02:11:29] Speaker C: Yeah? [02:11:30] Speaker D: Hela is able to, like, sense terra incognita and things like that, right? [02:11:36] Speaker C: Something like that, yeah. [02:11:38] Speaker D: Well, I was just thinking when we get in there, it might. If he's able to sense that kind of thing, or able to sense, like, the presence of things from Etteran incognito or one of the other worlds. Maybe he could sort of lead us to the feather. Because I'd imagine that feather of an angel gives off energy from Aten's realm, Right? [02:12:01] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll definitely ask him when he comes back. I told him to take a look around the building and to talk to some of the neighborhood cats. But, yeah, I'll definitely ask him if that's something he can, I guess, sniff out or feel out when we. Or once we get into the building. [02:12:24] Speaker D: All right. [02:12:26] Speaker C: On the flip side, I have a question for you. [02:12:29] Speaker D: Yeah, sure. [02:12:30] Speaker C: So, I mean, we have all the stuff that Mr. B has and I still have this bottle of wind. And I know you said you can't work with magic items and such. I was wondering, is there a way we can probably make something akin to like a ship in a bottle, but make it for the feather? Because I feel like there's no possible way for us to hold the feather and have it not get damaged, you know? But if it's like one of those ships, things that people have too much time on their hands, build inside of a bottle. What if we did something like that before the feather? I know you can't do the magic because I was going to see if maybe the air in the bottle could keep it like consistently floating. But I don't know if that's something you can do. [02:13:27] Speaker D: Honestly, I think it might just be a good idea for us to see if we can find a, like a big ass bottle for it to stay in, just in general so we don't crush it and it doesn't get crushed by falling on anything. Right. Or getting stomped on. And I was thinking that maybe if we. If we did get found out that wind, that air in a bottle, the wind might be able to be used to give. Give us a little more breathing room while we're trying to, you know, eat feet away. [02:13:55] Speaker C: Yeah. I also have the tiny ship, but I'm not sure if that'll actually work anymore. But I guess the only way to find out is, well, testing it in the moment. [02:14:14] Speaker D: Yeah. In the meantime, I could probably come up with like a bottle or a special or like a box that's got a protective seal and is like really padded and softer inside. That way we could hold it and it would be. Wouldn't be jostled as much. [02:14:35] Speaker B: It's a good idea. Yeah. Something to keep it safe. [02:14:39] Speaker C: Yeah. Because when you mentioned the hat, I thought about like, yeah, something that can hold it. And then I thought about those lame ship in the bottles. [02:14:51] Speaker B: Yes. [02:14:52] Speaker C: I think at least that's the thought of protecting the feather. But of course, now we just gotta get into the building, find the feather, and get out of the building. So I could hit up Pelly when he comes back. [02:15:07] Speaker B: That'd be great. [02:15:11] Speaker A: Yep. [02:15:13] Speaker B: If, you know, if you ever felt so inclined, do you think you could like stick a feather into your own feathers to make it blend in or something? [02:15:22] Speaker A: Not one of those. [02:15:23] Speaker B: Oh, okay. All right. [02:15:26] Speaker C: That was also a good idea. [02:15:28] Speaker E: Damn. [02:15:29] Speaker B: Oh. [02:15:34] Speaker A: I'm black. Those feathers are not black. [02:15:39] Speaker B: Yeah, that does kind of limit it, don't it? [02:15:41] Speaker A: Yes. [02:15:42] Speaker D: All right, Good idea. But we would need a Wiper for that kind of thing. [02:15:49] Speaker C: Have a decoy feather. [02:15:55] Speaker B: Do you feel like getting all painted up there, Ian? [02:15:58] Speaker A: No, that would take forever to get out and would make it hard to fly. [02:16:06] Speaker B: Yeah, that's. That's what I was really more worried about. I don't mind giving you a bath, but, you know, not being able to fly would be a problem. [02:16:15] Speaker A: All right, Ian. Ian kind of does that shudder thing that birds do, and he puffs up his feathers at the thought of being given a bath. [02:16:27] Speaker B: All right. I ain't gonna scrub you down with no sponge. I was just gonna, you know, have a nice bottle with some soap and stuff. All right, well. Well, I mean, while we're sitting down here looking around, are there a lot of other birds just hanging out, too? [02:16:46] Speaker A: There's a number of birds in the area. Not a ton, but some. [02:16:51] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah. And you might like just going up above the umbrella we're sitting under, whatever happens to be nearby. So you can maybe keep an eye on things for us, too. [02:17:00] Speaker A: I thought you wanted me to see what I could see about the building. I can't do both. [02:17:06] Speaker B: That's true. Well, can't you. If you spread out? Well, we don't want you spreading out yet. Okay. Yeah. Do the building thing first. [02:17:14] Speaker A: Okay. And he hops off your shoulder and takes to the skies. And once he is up and well above the buildings and out of where most mortals are likely to see him, you see 1 Ian become 2 IANS become, 3 IANS become more and more and more and more until there's a whole murder of crows kind of spreading out as wide as they dare and headed for the building. Around this time is around when pele shows back up and he kind of nudges Kota's ankle. [02:17:54] Speaker C: Hey, bud. [02:17:57] Speaker A: I have asked the locals. They are not always friendly, but they listened when they knew who I was. And he kind of sits and looks kind of proud and self assured. There are many people who come and go from that building, and not all of them are human. And several months ago, there were a lot of people, both human and not, carrying tools and supplies for carpentry. It sounded like. Well, and. And metal work. [02:18:42] Speaker C: Months ago. Okay. It's probably all this stuff that's pulling power. Yeah. [02:18:48] Speaker A: I caught a rat who told me when I threatened its life that there are ways to get. Or there. You. There have been ways to get into the building from the underground. [02:19:02] Speaker C: Oh, so, like sewer? [02:19:05] Speaker A: Yes. [02:19:07] Speaker E: Oh. [02:19:10] Speaker C: Okay. The rat tell you where. [02:19:16] Speaker A: He was? Not overly clear after I let him go. [02:19:24] Speaker C: Did you? [02:19:25] Speaker A: Yes, I do not eat rat. He didn't know that though. [02:19:33] Speaker C: Okay. Anything else? [02:19:37] Speaker A: Not yet. I can look at for more if you tell me what you want. But the. The. I. All I can tell you is that it is clear that they have been doing construction from what I've heard, or that they did construction on the inside and that there are ways to get inside from underground. [02:19:58] Speaker C: That's very helpful. Thank you. Feli. The group did have a question. When. When we get into the building, would you be able to sense or be able to lead us to the feather? Or is that not something? [02:20:14] Speaker A: Maybe. [02:20:15] Speaker C: Maybe. [02:20:16] Speaker A: I am unsure. [02:20:18] Speaker C: Okay, well, here's some food. Let me relay to the group everything but here's some snacks. I got you some. Some. Well, really anything. [02:20:33] Speaker A: Pele is happy to nibble off of. Probably one of the sandwiches that was bought. He. He ignores the bread, but goes straight in on the. On the meat. [02:20:46] Speaker C: So Pele caught a rat and the rat said we could. There is a way underground to enter. Also, a few months ago there were people coming back and forth into this building and even currently going. Coming back into this building who are not all human. And a few months ago they were doing carpentry and metal work. So. Yeah, so we definitely. Yeah, yeah. [02:21:21] Speaker D: Sounds like they were building what they were using to hold the feather. And as for getting underground, I do have the floor plans that show where the sewer grates at least should still be if we wanted to go in that way and get out that way. [02:21:37] Speaker B: Think it's gonna stink, but don't think anybody would be suspecting folks to come out of the sewers. [02:21:43] Speaker D: I'd rather be dirty than dead. So. [02:21:45] Speaker B: Yeah, tell you what. [02:21:49] Speaker D: If nothing else, maybe I can get an idea about where the power is coming from or. Like, man, I. I really wish that my echolocation thing worked on buildings, but it only works on, like, stuff that's in the earth, so it's a bit out of our league right now. [02:22:09] Speaker B: Well, wouldn't it be able to help us find the sewer then? [02:22:14] Speaker D: Well, yeah, but I figure we could just find a manhole or some such. [02:22:19] Speaker B: I mean, you do you. I don't know if you need a manhole, but we can find a way down there. [02:22:26] Speaker A: With the nine successes that Andre got earlier, I will say that it is more than easy for Andre to pull up a plan of the sewers. [02:22:33] Speaker D: You will do so. Okay, so I think we can easily get in here. This is the closest entry wave to from where we are right now. And then we just take the sewers to get. I don't know here. And he'll point to one that's closer to, like the middle of the warehouse itself, though that could be in the middle of everything where a bunch of eyes are. So it might be better if we try to go towards one of the walls. Give us a little more room to maneuver. [02:23:02] Speaker B: Yeah, sticking to the shadows if we don't want to be seen makes the most sense to me. [02:23:07] Speaker A: Pa Paiden nudges Kota's ankle. If I were going to hide something in a building that I had renovated, I would put the strongest room in the middle. [02:23:26] Speaker C: The little lord says if he had. If he was putting some. Hiding something important, he would put it in the middle of the building. [02:23:39] Speaker D: Yeah, it makes sense. You don't want to get. Just put it up next to a wall where someone can bust in from a weaker wall into something you spend so much time on. Makes sense. So, yeah, middle is probably better. Our better bet then. [02:23:51] Speaker C: Question, Andre. [02:23:53] Speaker D: Yep. [02:23:57] Speaker C: Does it look like there's an elevator in this building? [02:24:02] Speaker D: Well, the building's like four or five floors. I could imagine there would be one, but there was. It's amazingly built to be like a warehouse, so I could imagine it's mostly stairs instead of an elevator. [02:24:13] Speaker B: Or maybe your warehouse doesn't have a freight elevator. [02:24:16] Speaker D: Yeah, that's true. [02:24:18] Speaker A: Actually, there is a freight elevator on the plans. Yes. [02:24:27] Speaker D: You think maybe that's what they used to get to it? [02:24:32] Speaker C: Maybe. Or if we're safe, another way to get up. If we get in through the sewers and we get to a shaft for the elevators, that's more ways to climb and get places without being seen. [02:24:49] Speaker D: True enough. And if we need to, I could probably cut the power before we head in there, Since I got. I got where all the actual power boxes are too. That could make it give us a little more room to maneuver, Less maneuverability for them. More of them scramble around trying to get power back on while we do what we have to. [02:25:11] Speaker A: You hear a rustle of wings and Ian settles back on Clint's shoulder. [02:25:17] Speaker B: Hey there, birdbrain. How'd it go? [02:25:20] Speaker A: There are a lot of guards I like. [02:25:24] Speaker B: How many do you think. [02:25:27] Speaker A: I saw? At least 10. [02:25:30] Speaker B: 10 guards. [02:25:31] Speaker A: Okay, there's one for each wall, usually one for each corner, and then a couple that are wandering. There are not many windows. All of the windows seem to be on the top floor facing the sky or at the very top of the walls. There is a freight door on the back or a couple of freight doors on the back, Though one of them had heavy iron like Bands attached to it in the ground. So I don't think that one's meant to be opened anymore. [02:26:11] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah, that'd be a place to act as a fortification. All right. Did you see anything else? [02:26:19] Speaker A: It was hard to see without getting close. [02:26:21] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, that's fine. I'm not judging you if you're giving us great information. You did good. Ian, do you think. [02:26:32] Speaker A: You know, I think that some of the guards were more than what they looked like. [02:26:36] Speaker B: Yeah, that's what I was going to ask. [02:26:40] Speaker A: All right, so I'm not sure, but some of them seemed off. [02:26:51] Speaker B: Like, any just off in general or do you have an inkling of what kind of direction that off goes? [02:26:57] Speaker A: He kind of does that, like little birdie head shake. Hard to tell. Just that they look human, but they don't seem human. They don't feel human. [02:27:10] Speaker B: Makes sense. There you go, Ian. Thank you for taking care of that. Have some food. Get yourself, you know, a little more energy after all that hard work. [02:27:18] Speaker A: Ian pecks at the offered seeds. [02:27:21] Speaker B: So bird here, my friend. Ian just, you know, took a look around. There's quite a few guards, probably 10, maybe even a dozen or more out there. One on each wall, one on the corners. And some on patrol. Ain't got many windows except for the top floor and maybe some skylights. And there's a locked up, banded up freight door in the back. Some other ones are working, but one of them is all shut sorts of shuts up. Think there might be something connected? [02:27:55] Speaker D: Could be. Well, doesn't help us with getting in, but if need be, if we really just need to haul ass out of there, I could activate the day list of ass and fly us out. [02:28:14] Speaker B: All right. Yeah. [02:28:16] Speaker D: Wouldn't exactly be comfortable, but it would get us the hell out of there. [02:28:20] Speaker C: I'm also wondering cuz now kota is like looking at. Because she's been taking notes and everything that we're talking about, and she's like looking at everything and looking at everyone and goes, is there a way we can pull some. Attract. Pull some attention Attention to the top floor, then shut the power, we make our way to the middle floor, do what we need to do and get out. Cuz then at least the elevator will be stuck up top so we have the shaft. That's clear. [02:29:05] Speaker B: I think it could work. I mean, hell, what if, you know, instead of just locking doors and relying that we rip some metal off the wall, twist it around the handle old cartoon style and really them up, keep them from finding us or catching up. [02:29:22] Speaker C: Yeah, you just make it difficult. [02:29:24] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:29:25] Speaker D: Maybe we could have. Maybe we could make something that Ian could carry on up or Ian. Well, several ens. And then drop it to make a disturbance with the skylight, get their attention. [02:29:39] Speaker A: Yeah, it could do that. [02:29:43] Speaker B: Hey, he says he could do that. Maybe we could. Probably not. Hold on. Y'all got change in your pockets? [02:29:53] Speaker D: Yeah, I got a few coins. [02:29:55] Speaker B: No, I mean, like, a lot. [02:30:02] Speaker D: I got some. And he'll just. Look. [02:30:04] Speaker C: Dakota have lighters. [02:30:08] Speaker B: It's something. I just figuring something heavy and maybe metal or solid enough to really make a noise when it hits them skylights. You know, something that ain't just gonna sound like rain. [02:30:19] Speaker D: I can put some. I can craft something. I'll just make it dense as hell. [02:30:24] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah, that's a good idea. [02:30:27] Speaker A: Should make it something that goes boom. [02:30:30] Speaker B: He says you. Are you sure about that, Ian? [02:30:33] Speaker A: As long as it's not gonna go off while I'm holding it, I don't care what happens when I drop it. [02:30:38] Speaker B: All right. I think. I think Ian here is becoming a bit of a pyromaniac or just a fan of explosions. He's thinking maybe we could use a bomb up there. [02:30:49] Speaker A: Doesn't have to be a bomb. Could be one of those little. Or. What did you used to do? You used to play around when you were a kid with cherry hoppers or whatever? [02:30:59] Speaker B: Yeah, the little snappers. [02:31:01] Speaker A: It'd be those as long as they make noise. But if we want to blow stuff up, I'm okay with that, too. [02:31:07] Speaker B: All right. He was. I may have been exaggerating the explosiveness of his suggestion, but he's also come around to explore. Explosives are fun, too. [02:31:17] Speaker D: Yeah, I could probably whip something up. I got a little bit of knowledge of chemistry. Nothing too big, but should be enough to at least draw attention, make a loud enough noise to get them scrambling. [02:31:31] Speaker A: Oh. While I was up there, I saw a scrap yard or a place that does scrap metal if Andre wants to make something. [02:31:41] Speaker B: Hey, Andre. If you need materials, Ian knows of a scrapyard nearby. [02:31:46] Speaker D: I think that'd be a good place for us to go ahead and start out. I was going to offer to make y'all some armor, but the whole thing with this is that we're trying not to get noticed, so I'll leave that for another time. [02:31:58] Speaker B: Yeah. Instead of armor, maybe the box or whatever container for the flyer or feather. Then, you know, the thing that'll go boom when Ian drops it. And I kind of think, like, if we go in from the bottom and there's a nice, big hole in the top. And we get to the middle to get to the thing and get out the top. That sounds like a one way trip out of there. That's a pretty useful thing. [02:32:23] Speaker D: Sure enough. [02:32:27] Speaker C: Hmm. [02:32:28] Speaker D: We just gotta make sure that we don't break the damn feather because one basset told us not to. And two, if Oliver was looking that spooked from the vision. Something tells me if we. If we do break it, bad, bad shit happens. [02:32:47] Speaker B: Yeah. Makes sense. Have you ever made a pair of Heelys. [02:32:56] Speaker D: Once. [02:32:59] Speaker B: Think that might help us get in and out of there quietly and quickly? [02:33:07] Speaker D: Don't know about quietly Quickly maybe marginally. I think it might just be best if we just try to beat feet as quick. As quick and quiet as we can. [02:33:16] Speaker B: Okay. [02:33:21] Speaker A: All right, well, that's the plan, folks. [02:33:23] Speaker B: Let's head over to the scrapyard, then. [02:33:25] Speaker D: See what we're going to the scrap yard for. Metal. And if they're like old husks of cars, seeing if maybe he can grab the parts of the systems that actually make the horn to help with as much noise making as possible. [02:33:41] Speaker A: Excellent. That is all very easily done. You're not looking for anything overly special. So at a scrap yard, you are likely to find all of those things. [02:33:51] Speaker D: Fantastic. [02:33:56] Speaker A: Ian will even flit around the scrapyard and help you look for the parts that you need rather than making like, sort through a jungle of stuff. [02:34:04] Speaker B: Yeah, you just show him a picture. He's good at finding whatever you need. [02:34:09] Speaker D: Fantastic. And Andre will also be going for trying to grab unopened airbags since they actually do have like little bits of gunpowder in them to cause them to explode out as quickly as they do. So we can use that to help make the noise. [02:34:29] Speaker A: That might be a little bit harder. Roll me 2d10. Nope. [02:34:43] Speaker D: One in five. [02:34:44] Speaker A: No, nothing that. Nothing that's been unexploded. [02:34:48] Speaker D: Damn. Ah, well, I still got the noise. The noise from the horns, so I should. That should help. [02:34:59] Speaker B: All right. Anything else you think we can make? Oh, how do you figure you make in the box or the jar or whatever? [02:35:08] Speaker D: I figure I can go ahead and just make that with some of the metal here and then just fashion it so that way it'll like fit the feather and use some cloth to make sure the feather doesn't get jostled too much and isn't like rubbing up against hard steel or anything to cause irritation. [02:35:26] Speaker B: Or anything like that. That sounds real good. Cool. [02:35:32] Speaker D: I think I'm gonna have to go ahead and get to work. [02:35:37] Speaker A: All right. Thankfully you have all of the necks you could ever possibly need and the purview to make this go very fast. So I would like a roll of intelligence and blacksmithing. We're working on the box first, and I will allow you to add one die because you also have science physics. [02:36:12] Speaker D: So that's a grand total of 10 successes. [02:36:16] Speaker C: Nice. [02:36:17] Speaker A: All right. Very good. You are able to. So as you start working at first, you start with a relatively small box because you're like, oh, it's a feather. It's not likely to be that big. And then you realize that if you're dealing with proper angels, they're as big, if not bigger, than most humans. And this feather could be quite long, could be the length of your forearm. So you kind of scrap the original plan, and you go back in and build out a box that's longer than from your elbow to the tip of your middle finger. Slightly, like an inch longer than that. Not overly wide. It's just long. And then you start working on the inside. And in the middle of it, you have this moment of brilliance where you build in effectively. Like, it's almost like a gyroscopic mount in the bottom of it that will kind of adjust to the size of the feather itself, but will also help to keep the feather as suspended in the middle of the box as possible, no matter how much you move it. Does that make sense? [02:37:29] Speaker D: Yeah. So, like, if. Even if the box is, like, spinning all around, the feather will stay, like, level. [02:37:34] Speaker A: Hopefully, that's the plan. And you're fairly certain it'll. You're fairly certain that barring any, like, anything catastrophic, that it should work. And then, just for good measure, you line the sides of the boxes you said you were going to with, like, fabric from, like, basically donated pieces of clothing from Koda and yourself and Clint. Yep. Everybody, like, sacrifices a T shirt or something. [02:38:05] Speaker D: All righty. I think this is the best we're going to be able to get with the time we have for holding the feather. [02:38:14] Speaker A: Now, I would like a intelligence. Intelligence and automotive with an extra die for your chemistry knowledge to see if you can make, like, some snap, crackle, pop things. [02:38:35] Speaker D: Snap, crackle, pop. Nine successes. [02:38:37] Speaker A: That's not bad. All right. Andre may very well be what gets you guys through this. We're down. We're down to half our normal iq. But it's not. It's not. All is lost. [02:38:49] Speaker D: Double time. [02:38:50] Speaker A: Andre manages to make the effectively a number of small noise makers. They're not quite firecrackers, but they will be just as effective, if not more effective than firecrackers because, in theory, these will keep going off even after they hit something and makes a rather large array. So if ian splits up into the murder into his murder form, they should be able to carry a good number of them. [02:39:25] Speaker D: And these should also be heavy enough so that way, they'll actually break through the skylight to actually get inside and make the noise. [02:39:32] Speaker A: Indeed. [02:39:36] Speaker B: These are looking real good. [02:39:39] Speaker A: And because you are so very, very smart, you are even smart enough not to make any of them overly shiny. [02:39:46] Speaker D: There it is. [02:39:53] Speaker A: During the time that this is happening, Pele has slips off again. After telling kota that he's going to go recon the underground and see if he can figure out, you know, if anything has changed on that end or if he can find an easy path to get there. [02:40:12] Speaker C: Okay, good. Good, good, good. [02:40:18] Speaker A: You guys do notice as you were moving around and doing all of this, though, that even with pele gone, a number of other cats seem to be lingering in the area and watching. [02:40:29] Speaker B: Are they, like, watching us closely? [02:40:32] Speaker A: Yes. [02:40:35] Speaker B: Who closely? [02:40:37] Speaker A: I don't know what you mean by too closely, Clint. They're watching you. It's very obvious that they are focused on the three of you. [02:40:44] Speaker B: I mean, just watching them. Are any of them running off and seeming to, like, report anything, or are we being watched by scout? [02:40:52] Speaker A: Occasionally one will disappear, you know, while the others stay. [02:40:59] Speaker B: They got spies. [02:41:01] Speaker D: You think it's them, or you think that? Cody, I think these might be your moms. [02:41:05] Speaker C: Koda will look over at them and be like, oh, they're just my mom. [02:41:10] Speaker B: Oh, okay. [02:41:14] Speaker C: It is. [02:41:15] Speaker A: It is likely to assume that they are either sent by Koda's mother, or Pele has put some of the locals on watch while he's not here to keep an eye. [02:41:24] Speaker B: Good. [02:41:25] Speaker D: Cat. [02:41:27] Speaker C: Yeah. Is it possible? So I know code is not really, like, a. Like a war master like Oliver, but I think for a stakeout or. Or for the. This heist that we're doing, she's kind of, been, like, thinking to see, is there anything that we're missing? Is it possible I could do, like, a Larson lar. I can never say this word. [02:41:57] Speaker A: Larceny. [02:41:58] Speaker C: Yeah, like a larceny and something. Check to see if, like, we're missing any steps in this heist. [02:42:04] Speaker A: Sure. Let's go. Wits and larceny. [02:42:07] Speaker C: Oh, wits and larceny. All right. Let's get that. And could I add duty? [02:42:30] Speaker A: I'll allow it. [02:42:31] Speaker C: Okay. That adds dice, Right? Not automatic successes. Correct. [02:42:41] Speaker D: Correct. [02:42:42] Speaker C: Okay. All right. So I am out. I have one more. [02:42:49] Speaker A: Okay. [02:42:51] Speaker C: Six successes. [02:42:53] Speaker A: Pretty good. Okay. The The. There are a couple of things that stand out to you that have not been discussed. Number one, who's going to hold the box? And number two, what is the plan if things don't go well and fights break out? [02:43:11] Speaker C: Okay, cool. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. Bet. Okay. Yeah. So Kota will sit there and is, like, thinking and looking everything over, and then she'll go, wait. Who's holding the feather? [02:43:28] Speaker B: I mean, well, in all of lover's vision and your mom's suggestion, I figure I'll be the one holding it. [02:43:37] Speaker D: Maybe you hold the box, and Dakota can be the one to grab the feather, since in the vision, it was you trying to grab it. [02:43:45] Speaker B: Worth a shot. Yeah. [02:43:48] Speaker C: Yeah. And I mean, if it's gonna be like. Like a James Bond movie or that other one with the. The Jones guy, I'm dexterous and, like, pretty great at holding me a balance. So maybe I can grab it and then pass it to you. Clint. And then you hold it the rest of the time. [02:44:11] Speaker B: Yep. Get it. Put it in the box, and get us out of there. [02:44:15] Speaker C: Okay. Second thing. Although I know we want to avoid it, but what are we going to do if we do end up in a fight? I know I have my bottle of air and the ship that could maybe end up becoming a full ship size again, but what do we plan to do if the worst happens? [02:44:40] Speaker D: I think that depends on the situation. If it's just like, one. If it's mortals easy enough. If it's like a scion, we can maybe try to handle it ourselves. If it's one of our 10's like actual angels, we get the out of there. [02:45:01] Speaker B: Yeah, but there's also, like. Okay, so if. If we do see him coming at us, you know, I can. Clint will pull the toothpick from between his lips. I can kind of make like a real quick roadblock. So, you know, keep it. Keep a door or two locked for a second and pull it back whenever we're out of there. [02:45:22] Speaker C: Okay. [02:45:24] Speaker A: Out of character. Because I don't. I don't want people going in there thinking that the ship is a plan. You don't know how that works. [02:45:31] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. [02:45:35] Speaker A: Theory. At some point in the future, you might be able to figure it out, but so far, you have no idea how that works. So you have no idea what good it would do. [02:45:41] Speaker B: You just throw it at him. [02:45:43] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:45:44] Speaker C: That's why Koda was like, if it works. Because she's like, either I throw it and it'll turn into a boat or either I throw it and I threw A paper boat or a tiny boat at somebody's head. [02:45:57] Speaker A: It is also worth noting that out of the three of you, and this is a very clear thing, this isn't like, in debate at all. Coda is the fastest. [02:46:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:46:09] Speaker A: And the best at getting places. So if things go poorly, it might. I think Andre would be smart. Andre especially would be smart enough to realize that Koda might be the person who needs to have the feather. Because if shit completely hits the fan, maybe somebody can complete the labor even if nobody else gets out. [02:46:30] Speaker D: Yeah, that's fair. Andrew, think for a second. Well, Coda, I think actually you should be the one taking the feather. One, it's your pantheon. Two, you're definitely faster than us combined. So if things do do go completely pear shaped, at least you could probably get out. If things go that pear shape, they'll try to make sure that you and Clint get out. [02:46:58] Speaker B: I mean, I can't just leave you behind. [02:47:00] Speaker C: Yeah, shut the up, Andre. Are you serious? In what. In what. In what pantheon, what myth, what world do you think we would leave and not take you with us? Like, be so very for real? [02:47:15] Speaker D: I'm not saying I'm just gonna completely give up and just resign myself to my fate, but if things look like it, it's definitely you two getting out or none of us getting out. I'm making that choice. [02:47:28] Speaker C: And then I'll make my choice, too. [02:47:31] Speaker D: God, your heart hit. [02:47:32] Speaker B: It kind of brings. [02:47:34] Speaker C: I'm hard as. [02:47:37] Speaker B: Koda, if. If it does go sideways and Andre and I are both in a situation, it's going to be easier for you to just get out of there than try and help us both at the same time. [02:47:50] Speaker C: You know, I can't believe the both. [02:47:52] Speaker B: Of you are saying this, but if it's just him in trouble, then, you know, I go and fix it, and you come and help if we've got the chance. And if not, then you run. You gotta understand something, Koda. We. We weren't like scions the same way. We didn't become scions the same way. You. You all had a unique situation, and you're the one that took on this whole redemption quest to try and save someone else. And we're here long to help. And trust me, I don't think it's going to go as well for, you know, your friend if the only ones that survive are folks that aren't so keen on making sure he's doing okay. So it's kind of important that you're the one that gets out of there. [02:48:49] Speaker C: Kota is looking at the two of them and is like, very carefully taking a slow and deep breath in and then out. And she's like, muttering, counting to herself, and then she'll just go. Hi. I understand what you're both saying, and I understand that, yeah, it would be very important for me to survive for Stefan and all that. Good. Yeah. But I will never leave the two of you behind. Okay? The only time I would leave you behind is if maybe you were blown to smithereens and smeared across the walls or some. Okay, so if you think that while you're still living and possibly breathing, that I'm going to run out of here and leave the two of you behind just so I could survive and make it with a feather. Are you kidding me right now? No, I'm not leaving you guys behind. I. I'm going to take you guys with me. I don't care. And sure, you guys are just two people that came to help. That's even more reason why I shouldn't leave you guys behind. Because he had nothing to do with this. Right? So sorry. Okay, hold on. Let me catch my breath. I should be kind and nice and gentle. [02:50:36] Speaker A: Yes, I. I get PE has reappeared at the corner and is watching you. Yes, Being a scion means going into things like this knowing that you might not come back. It also means understanding that duty comes from first. [02:50:56] Speaker C: My duty is to protect the people around me. [02:50:59] Speaker A: Your duty is to fulfill the oaths you have made, Kota Masoi. You want to protect the people around you, but it is their job to protect themselves. It is your job to fulfill your oaths. If you die, if you fail this, Stefan is most assuredly doomed. You made promises to him, to. To Ra, to your mother. Your impulse to protect your friends is noble, but it is not helpful. Trust them to do their job, and they will trust you to do your course. [02:51:51] Speaker B: Now, I ain't sure what you and your cat are chirping and meowing about, but, Kota, I need you to understand that I kind of signed up to help y'all. Well, I wasn't really signed up. I was assigned to help y'all out with the understanding that I'm going to prove myself to be some big shot heroes. And I can't be no big shot hero if I'm dead. So I ain't going out there to die. I might pull off something really cool and look cool doing it and get a little hurt, but we got this. [02:52:25] Speaker D: Yeah, I ain't looking to go knocking on my uncle's doors again so soon, but I just understand that this is the dangerous thing. I'm gonna do my job to the best of my goddamn abilities, and I assume that you're going to be doing yours and Clint's going to be doing his. We just gotta do what we can for each other and understand when we gotta make certain moves that don't sit right, but they're what's needed. [02:52:55] Speaker B: And I'm gonna text your mom so much when we are done with this. [02:53:00] Speaker C: Don't text my mom. [02:53:01] Speaker B: Oh, I'm a text. Or even harder. [02:53:05] Speaker C: Don't say it like that. [02:53:08] Speaker A: All right. [02:53:09] Speaker C: Okay. [02:53:13] Speaker A: The sun is setting. Are you all ready? [02:53:17] Speaker B: It's about that time, yeah. [02:53:20] Speaker A: Andre, you were the brains of the operation. Give us a rundown on the plan. [02:53:25] Speaker D: All right, so the plan is to get Ian to begin bombarding the top floor with the noise makers, to get the guards to rush up to the top floor, cut the power inside, so that way, the elevator freight that they're using would get stuck on the top floor, leaving them likely, at least in some way, if. If not trapped, much less maneuverable. Get in. If I'm able to cut the power while we're inside from heading in from the sewers, great. If not, then we'll just get into the sewers and head inside from the sewer grate and make our way to wherever there's either signs of recent construction or following Pele's nose for other worlds to hopefully lead us to the feather. Get in, grab the feather, put it in the box, and hopefully get. Get out from the same way we got in. [02:54:28] Speaker B: I. I do have to point out that whenever. Whenever Oliver had his vision, there was an alarm associated with a feather. So once that happens, not only is it get the out, it is get the out of there. Like fan. [02:54:46] Speaker D: Yeah. Pulled out every single thing that you got. Any tricks you got to make you fast, faster, get you maneuvering. Do it. Hell, I might just start flying the moment that the feather's in the goddamn box. [02:55:01] Speaker B: It's good with me. [02:55:04] Speaker C: Understood. [02:55:09] Speaker D: All right. Let's do this. [02:55:12] Speaker A: Ian hops off of Clint's shoulder again, looks around for a moment as he kind of circles over you, and then you watch as one Ian becomes many, many Ians, and they fly down. A handful of them fly down to pick up these odd little contraptions that Audrey has made, all of them looking mildly disappointed that they're not shiny. [02:55:39] Speaker B: All right, I promise you'll have plenty of shinies when we're done, buddy. [02:55:45] Speaker A: And then they take off to the sky and get up against the night sky. Where they are less likely to be seen and fly to begin to take position and give you guys time to maneuver into the sewers. Pele leads you to a manhole cover that is not close but not overly far away. I searched. This is a straight shot from here to there. It is also the least likely place that they will look for you. Well, one of the least likely ones that they will look for you at because it's not one of the closest. [02:56:25] Speaker D: Perfect. [02:56:27] Speaker A: So if you have to flee through the tunnel or through the sewers, just follow the line. Follows straight here. There's buildings around us that are mostly empty, so they will give you convenient hiding places. And there are cats everywhere, so even if I am not there, one of the cats will take you somewhere safe. [02:56:50] Speaker C: Thanks, Pelle. And she'll relay this to the group. [02:56:55] Speaker B: Shit. That's what all them cats were? [02:56:59] Speaker A: Yeah, they are companions. [02:57:05] Speaker C: They are companions. [02:57:07] Speaker B: Hell yeah, Pele. All right. Thank you, little guy. [02:57:13] Speaker A: All right. And you all climb down into the sewers. You watch one of the cats, as you were climbing down into the sewers, disappears out the door. You get the feeling that they are going to go and give the signal to Ian at the appropriate time. Like there's a little network of cats throughout the city of Alexandria who are helping you on your. On your quest. [02:57:34] Speaker D: Cats and birds working together. Mass hysteria. [02:57:39] Speaker A: It is a tense relationship. You get the feeling Pele and Ian are always eyeing each other. All right, you go down into the sewers. It is dark, it is smelly. But because you remembered to bring Oliver's bag, you have glow sticks for convenient light. Yep. I have to let Gary know so that he can keep track. This may be the last set of glow sticks. And you all head off into the sewers. It is, for the most part, a pretty straight line. When he set a straight line, it was more that this particular tunnel doesn't have any, like branches off of it. It does curve a little bit and there are some turns, but they don't like go. It doesn't stretch off into any other particular place. It's. It's a one way thing. And then he stops under one of the grates and meows up at it above his head. [02:58:44] Speaker B: Is that the one? [02:58:47] Speaker D: Looks like it. [02:58:49] Speaker B: What's going on? First. [02:58:54] Speaker A: You all hear Pele give a long low yowl down the tunnel, to which you hear one in return. And then that's that paleo luxacota. I have given the signal. They should start dropping things shortly. [02:59:13] Speaker C: Okay, perfect. He just gave the signal. So they're Gonna start dropping this stuff soon so we could start making our way up perhaps once we, well hear a commotion. [02:59:30] Speaker B: Yeah, you gotta give it a few seconds for them noisemakers to go off and folks to start running. Right? [02:59:36] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:59:37] Speaker A: I would like everybody to give me wits and perception or perception and awareness, please. Not what's in perception. Wrong game. [02:59:53] Speaker D: The fun had to end sometimes. [02:59:54] Speaker A: Oh, fondre. [03:00:00] Speaker D: Honestly, we're in the sewers. I'm glad I don't have epic perception. [03:00:03] Speaker A: That's fair. [03:00:04] Speaker C: Seven successes. [03:00:05] Speaker A: Kota does have epic perception. Kota, you're miserable. It smells down here. Your eyes are watering. But you have seven successes, so you're fine. You're not completely overwhelmed. Clint, it's not pleasant down here, that's for damn sure. Clint and koda are who hear well, first coda hears things. Cody, you hear the initial pops and. And horn noises and all of that stuff that begin to go off. Clint, you hear those, but only really after you hear the reactions from people above does that make sense. Like you start to hear heavy footsteps and people yelling, and that's when you're pretty sure that things have started to go off. [03:00:53] Speaker B: Yep. That makes sense. Sounds like it's getting off up in there. [03:00:59] Speaker A: Assuming that Andrey is the one who is leading the way up through the grate, just in case there's like, something that needs to be deactivated or whatever. Yep. Andre, you can't find any sort of like alarm or anything on the grate, but you do find that they have, like, reinforced it to make it harder to open. [03:01:19] Speaker D: Uh huh. [03:01:21] Speaker A: So your options are you can try to take the time to finesse your way through by undoing doing the reinforcements, or you can try to force your way through and hope that the noise above keeps them from overhearing. [03:01:37] Speaker D: I think I will start with an attempt to finesse and try to undo the reinforcements first. Because I don't want to just immediately bungle everything we've built up for first. And then if a little bit time passes and I think that there might be more of a gap, then I'll just burst our way in and hurry to take care of the power afterwards. [03:02:04] Speaker A: Okay. Normally this would be a larceny roll. However, I will allow you to use dexterity and blacksmithing. [03:02:17] Speaker B: Okay. [03:02:19] Speaker A: To see if you can kind of finesse it with your. Your knowledge of, like, engineering and things like that, or if you can manipulate some of your tools to do things they weren't necessarily originally intended to do. [03:02:36] Speaker D: That's five successes. I'm going to legend to try to get a little Bit better. [03:02:42] Speaker A: Oh, that is a lot of ones, bud. Jesus. [03:02:45] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm unhappy with it. [03:02:48] Speaker A: That's four ones. [03:02:50] Speaker D: That's only slightly better, but I'll take it. So that's six successes. [03:02:53] Speaker A: All right. Six successes allows you to get about halfway through the reinforcements, so you get the feeling that you could more easily break through with force or in another round. You might be able to. [03:03:07] Speaker E: You might. [03:03:08] Speaker A: Might be able to finish getting through. [03:03:10] Speaker D: I think I'm gonna try to just focus on finish getting through quietly, and if things then really, really go bad, then I'll just bust my way out. [03:03:19] Speaker A: All right, give me one more roll. Nine. There we go. [03:03:26] Speaker C: Nice. [03:03:27] Speaker A: He's back. Okay. Nine successes you easily make it through on. You've used two rounds so far to get to get through. You managed to push it up, and you quickly realize that what they actually did was they built kind of a floor over top of it. But it's not like, built to be, like, super crazy permanent. It's not like they poured concrete. It's like OSB board, which is relatively easy for you to cut through. I'm not going to make you roll for that. You've got the kind of toolkit just in your bag at all times that it's very, very easy to cut through. Just normal wood and construction grade board. [03:04:14] Speaker D: All righty. Yeah. Andre's going to finish cutting through that, and then we'll just slowly lift the grate up and climb his way out, holding it up for everyone else to get to to get on out. [03:04:26] Speaker A: You all find your way in a hallway. You can hear the chaos above you. [03:04:33] Speaker B: Sounds like it's working. Let's start looking for what we gotta find. [03:04:37] Speaker D: Yeah, I got the power. Koda, you think Pele can maybe start stiff and see if he can't smell the other realm here? [03:04:48] Speaker C: She will look to Pele and go sense anything. [03:04:55] Speaker A: Roll me. Do you have Pele's stats yet? Did you put that in your sheet ever? [03:05:03] Speaker C: No, I don't have a sheet for Pele. [03:05:06] Speaker A: He has the standard domesticated cat stuff. It's fine. I've got it. Roll. 6. Dice has legend. You can spend one of his legend points if you'd like to re roll. [03:05:39] Speaker C: Yeah, sure, I'll do that. Three successes. [03:05:46] Speaker A: Three is much better. Okay. Pele begins to sniff around. You can see his eyes kind of glow as he wanders first one way, like, five, ten feet down the hall, and then turns and goes in the other direction and then begins to lead you into the building. Andre, what are you doing about the power? [03:06:08] Speaker D: I'm going to wear one of the, like, fuse boxes or, like, one of the central circuits where the. Where the power would be running through is located. And I'm gonna just shut everything down and then try to sabotage it to where it can't get fixed by just flipping a switch back on again. [03:06:26] Speaker A: Okay, what kind of sabotage? Are we going for, like, a smart man sabotage, or are we just, like, trying to break. [03:06:35] Speaker D: I'm going with the smart man sabotage, especially if I can, like, soldering shit to where it can't get fixed again easily. [03:06:42] Speaker A: Um, okay, yeah, I'll allow craft. Yeah, let's do intelligence and electronics. While you are rolling that, Clint, what are you up to? [03:06:52] Speaker B: Clint is keeping an eye out, making sure the coast is clear, and he's got his toothpick extended just in case we need to lock up a door behind ourselves. [03:07:00] Speaker A: Okay. Can you roll for Ian? I would like you to roll. [03:07:10] Speaker D: Pain. [03:07:12] Speaker B: Without. [03:07:15] Speaker A: Roll me and decks and athletics, please. [03:07:22] Speaker B: Oh, okay. [03:07:23] Speaker D: I'm going to legend, because rolling 13 dice and getting a singular success hurts. [03:07:28] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, I bet it does. [03:07:32] Speaker D: There we go. How about 14 instead? [03:07:35] Speaker A: 14. Not bad. [03:07:38] Speaker B: And Ian got three successes. [03:07:41] Speaker A: Okay. Do me a favor, Clint. Make a note on your sheet that Ian has taken one bashing. [03:07:58] Speaker B: Gotcha. [03:08:00] Speaker A: You can hear the cause of crows above you amidst the chaos. [03:08:09] Speaker D: Got it. [03:08:10] Speaker B: He is at a zero penalty at the moment, but it can continue to get worse. [03:08:14] Speaker A: Yep. All right, Andre, you make rapid work. Like, first you flip all of the breakers to turn everything off, and then flip, like, the main breaker that cuts you off completely from power from the outside so that you don't fry yourself. [03:08:33] Speaker D: Yep. [03:08:34] Speaker A: And then proceed to just demolish this thing. You pull it apart in record time with your I want it yesterday. And managed to leave it in bits and pieces. They could fix it, but it would take a while, and it would take somebody who knows electricity and electrical work as well as you do to do it in any sort of, like, timely manner. [03:09:03] Speaker D: Good fucking luck with that, shitheads. [03:09:07] Speaker A: All right, Coda, are you following Pele or are you doing anything in particular? [03:09:12] Speaker C: She's following Pele. [03:09:15] Speaker A: Okay, as you follow Pele, Pele gets to a corner and pauses. And you see him, like, tilt his head and listen, still sniffing at the air, and then turns a corner. Do you follow? [03:09:40] Speaker C: Yeah. But she's also keeping an eye back to the others just to make sure she's not getting too far from them. [03:09:46] Speaker B: Clint is right behind you. [03:09:50] Speaker A: You see, Andre's still working, but Andre's, you know, Audrey's pretty smart. He'll catch up when it's time. As you round the corner, Coda. You are there. And you see like a blur. And then a young woman with skin slightly darker than yours and short hair and bright greenish yellow eyes not unlike a cat's. And she kind of pauses and looks at you and then glances around and puts her fingers to her lips in a sh. Gesture. [03:10:41] Speaker C: Coda will in fact stay quiet and look back to Clint to make sure this is actually a person that Clint can also see too. [03:10:59] Speaker B: Is she there? [03:11:01] Speaker A: You can see her. [03:11:02] Speaker B: Clint, in response to the fingers to the lips of Clint, will return a big old thumbs up. [03:11:12] Speaker A: And then she pulls out two like long wicked looking daggers and then disappears down a side hall. [03:11:27] Speaker B: Is that a friend of yours? [03:11:31] Speaker A: Either of you is Will is welcome to make an intelligence and academics role. [03:11:35] Speaker B: Ooh, I will do that. [03:11:39] Speaker C: Yeah. [03:11:54] Speaker B: That is one success. [03:12:04] Speaker C: One success as well. [03:12:06] Speaker A: Wow. All right. The only thing you are both relatively certain of is that those daggers look old. They look like something out of. Out of a. Like a history book. Not something that would come out of like a modern day forge. [03:12:23] Speaker B: Be friends with your mom. [03:12:27] Speaker C: Could be. And she'll go helly. Do you know who that was? [03:12:34] Speaker A: I have suspicions, but no time to talk about it. [03:12:37] Speaker C: Okay, let's go. [03:12:38] Speaker A: Let's. And Pele begins to run. Not like full speed, but move much faster than he was. Down the hallway, Andre, at about this time is able to catch up, having done some serious damage on the electrical system for this place. [03:12:59] Speaker D: Back on for a while. [03:13:02] Speaker A: Let's hope they don't have any generators. But they. [03:13:08] Speaker C: He. [03:13:09] Speaker A: He leads you down one hall and then around and then around another. Turn to the right. So it's almost like you are facing the direction that you came from. But from the other side of the building, there's still a lot of chaos upstairs. Occasionally you hear heavy thuds. You hear more cawing. Occasionally. Coda. With your very, very sharp senses, you sometimes hear. Hear the sound of cats or a cat, like a. Like a hiss or a yowl. And as you round that final corner, you all find yourself in front of two men who are armed with heavy rifles standing on either side of what looks like a heavy vault. Vault door. They see you and immediately lift their rifles. I would like everybody to roll me. Join battle. Remember, it is a D10 plus your join battle as a modifier. [03:14:29] Speaker D: Well, it got almost as good as I could. [03:14:32] Speaker A: Yeah, it's pretty good. [03:14:38] Speaker B: I got. Hey, that's not bad. That's that. [03:14:43] Speaker D: It's a 12 for Koda yeah. [03:14:46] Speaker A: Indeed. All right. Uh, Clint. [03:14:57] Speaker B: Mm. [03:14:58] Speaker A: What are you gonna do? [03:15:01] Speaker B: Clint is going to look at both of them. Well, that's not good. And he's going to try and utilize his willpower to turn someone's rational thoughts into the seething, chaotic noise. [03:15:17] Speaker A: Ooh. Would you mind telling us what this power is and how it works? [03:15:22] Speaker B: Yeah. It's paralyzing confusion. A purview or part of the chaos purview. Whenever the activation roll succeeds, the victim is frozen in place, unable to think, speak or act. They are unaware of what goes on around them and have no memory of the moments before or after the use of the boon. If the victim has a legend, a rating equal to mine, it is contested against their willpower, integrity and legend. [03:15:49] Speaker A: Love that. Okay, go ahead and make your roll. This is mostly to make sure that you don't completely botch it. As long as you get one success, it's going to work. So. Cuz they have a lower legend rating than you. [03:16:12] Speaker B: Hey, hey. There we go. [03:16:14] Speaker C: Three successes. [03:16:15] Speaker A: Three successes. One of the. The one closest to you just kind of freezes. [03:16:26] Speaker B: He utters baby shark. Do do, do. Just confuse the out of him. [03:16:37] Speaker A: You all watch as this man goes from raising his rifle like he's about to take fire. And then you hear Clint mutter baby shark. And then the man just freezes and nothing happens. [03:16:52] Speaker C: Huh? [03:16:53] Speaker B: You gotta handle the other one. [03:16:55] Speaker A: All right, Coda. [03:17:03] Speaker C: Hoda will serpent's gaze the other one. And that's one legend. [03:17:11] Speaker A: You're gonna spend a legend and it just works. Or is there a role for that? Nope. [03:17:15] Speaker C: Just spend a legend and it works. [03:17:18] Speaker A: Excellent. You see, Koda lock eyes with the other one, who also goes very still and kind of slack jawed. And Andre, you are now standing there with two. Maybe not mortals, but certainly not as powerful as you and your companions. Men with guns who can't seem to do anything. You get the feeling though, that if your friends stop focusing on them, there's every chance that they can start. They can start moving, especially codas. You could tell that it has to do with eye contact. [03:17:52] Speaker D: Yeah, I think that Andre is preferring to be thorough. So what he's going to do is he's going to go ahead and. [03:18:04] Speaker C: While. [03:18:04] Speaker D: They'Re paralyzed and distracted, he's going to take just like take their weapons away from them and if. And will work to begin, just choking them out as quick as quickly as he can. [03:18:20] Speaker A: Okay. Um. [03:18:23] Speaker D: He's trying to be nice for once. If. If thing. If this doesn't go as quickly as he hopes that he's just gonna murder them. [03:18:30] Speaker A: Okay, I'm going to point something out to you. You technically don't have brawl. [03:18:39] Speaker D: It's true, actually. [03:18:41] Speaker A: So what I will allow is. I will allow because you're trying to do this very quickly. I will allow a wits and medicine roll. Unless you want to change your tactic because you're. You're not equipped for brawl. [03:18:53] Speaker D: True. I think what he would be trying to do is maybe like, extend the labyrinth and then use the like, actual, like, extended handle of it to just like, press against their throat, if that would help. Or that's. [03:19:16] Speaker A: You can do that. Or you could just knock him over the head. [03:19:19] Speaker D: Yeah, I'll just not. [03:19:23] Speaker B: Give him the blade. [03:19:24] Speaker D: It's like, I got the ax. Oh, wait, this is still a heavy piece of metal. Clang. [03:19:30] Speaker A: Yeah, you can. You can hit them with the flat of the ax so that you don't, like, risk killing anybody. You're just gonna just potentially leave them with a traumatic brain injury. [03:19:38] Speaker D: That's all you know. [03:19:40] Speaker A: Let's go with strength and melee, please. [03:19:44] Speaker D: Strengthen melee. [03:19:45] Speaker A: If you would like to split your dice pool, you can hit both of them in one go, or you could hit one of them and leave Clint to deal with the other. [03:19:56] Speaker D: I think that if I go just go ahead and take care of the one that's parallel, that's focused on coda with eyesight. Then Clinton probably take care of the one that he's got pondering memes. [03:20:07] Speaker A: Okay. [03:20:17] Speaker D: And this will. I add my epic strength. Thirteen. [03:20:25] Speaker A: Oh, Jesus. Yeah, he's out. I'm not. We're not making any, like, damage rolls. It just works. There is no way that he could soak even if you. You'd have to roll really, really badly. So, yeah, he. He. He crumples at your feet. Kota, you are able to release serpent's gaze now because he is out. [03:20:53] Speaker C: She'll just blink a few times and go, oh, God. I need to carry around eye drops. [03:21:01] Speaker A: Clint. [03:21:02] Speaker B: Yep. [03:21:06] Speaker A: Your guy is caught up in meme land, but the other one is now unconscious. [03:21:11] Speaker B: Clint just strides up to the guy and raises his toothpick in its just extended stick form, and he's going to follow suit and bonk him over the head as well. [03:21:22] Speaker A: Strengthen melee, please. [03:21:26] Speaker B: Do you want it with the. The accuracy of the bow staff or the. The toothpick? [03:21:30] Speaker A: Sure. [03:21:31] Speaker B: Hell, yeah. That is nine successes. [03:21:36] Speaker A: Yeah, that's. He's. He's out. We're not. This poor guy does not have the soak to overcome your. Your. You'd have to roll really Badly on the to hit for me to bother with any rolls beyond that. He is. He is also out. They both collapse at your feet. [03:21:55] Speaker B: Right. We need to get into that vault, though. Andre, you think you can help? [03:22:00] Speaker A: I would like all of you to roll me. What's an awareness real quick. PE does not roll for this. [03:22:07] Speaker C: All right. [03:22:12] Speaker D: What the. [03:22:15] Speaker A: Wow. Jesus. Andre. [03:22:19] Speaker D: I can see through time as Andre. [03:22:22] Speaker A: Rolls four tens on six dice. What the. And Clint. Clint rolls three tens on five dice. What is happening? [03:22:38] Speaker D: We've got that post on clarity and. [03:22:43] Speaker A: Coderles one on a pole of seven. Very fitting for this group. Okay. Both Andre and Clint notice as you are kind of nudging their bodies off to the side to get them out of the way of the door. They are both wearing uniforms, and the patch on the uniform says argus securities. [03:23:13] Speaker B: You think we should wear these? [03:23:17] Speaker D: Don't think we got time for a quick change. But, I mean, take note of the patch. [03:23:25] Speaker B: All right. Yeah. Hold on. You focus on the door. Give me a second. And Clint will pull out a sketchbook to try and recreate the symbol or the. The logo. [03:23:35] Speaker C: See if they have any key cards, too. [03:23:37] Speaker A: Normally, I wouldn't give this to you. You have two intelligence. Now you have a phone with a camera. Dude. [03:23:45] Speaker B: Clint, think of the oldfashioned way, gets his sketchbook out. He's got his pencil to the paper. Oh, oh, hold on. Let me just. Phone, take a picture. [03:23:55] Speaker D: Fantastic. But, yeah, Audrey will check to see if there are, like, key cards because he's thinking that there. That maybe this vault is on a different sort of breaker. Maybe something that's kept, like, air gapped. And if not. And if there aren't key cards, then he's going to have to get creative. [03:24:16] Speaker A: Here's what I will say. This is most definitely a larceny role, which Kota has. However, I will allow Andre to roll to how much extra dice you can give her to help. [03:24:28] Speaker D: Okay, so that'd be dexter. Dexterity and larceny. [03:24:32] Speaker A: No, I want you to roll just raw intelligence. [03:24:35] Speaker D: Okay, I can do that. Raw intelligence, no mod. [03:24:41] Speaker A: Oh, no. You get your mods. If I'm calling for a raw roll, I let you have your mods. [03:24:47] Speaker D: Fair enough. Eight successes. [03:24:49] Speaker B: Hell, yeah. [03:24:50] Speaker A: All right, Cody, you get four extra dice on your intelligence and larceny roll. [03:24:55] Speaker C: Intelligence and Larson. Larson. [03:25:07] Speaker A: Okay. [03:25:12] Speaker C: No modifier. Wow. [03:25:19] Speaker B: You want to legend? That might be a good idea. [03:25:23] Speaker A: You might want to legend that. I might want to on a pool of nine. That's pretty bad. [03:25:28] Speaker D: Also, you can include your epic dexterity. [03:25:32] Speaker A: It's not a dexterity role. It's an intelligence roll. [03:25:34] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, Never mind. [03:25:36] Speaker C: Yeah, I got. [03:25:37] Speaker A: This is her. There we go. That's six. That's pretty good. So this is mostly to figure out what. What kind of security you're looking at more than to do anything about it. Which is why it needed to be a larceny roll. All right. With six successes coda, you can tell that this is a. This is a door that looks like they. They have designed it to kind of be double, like a double whammy. Part of it is old fashioned and a, like an oldfashioned vault where you have to like spin the little handle to get the numbers in properly. But there is also some electricity, electronic parts to it that seem to run on their own circuit. So there you can hear the electricity humming on the inside of it when you put your ear to the door. [03:26:32] Speaker C: Okay. So code is going to like rest her ear on the door and like start like moving it around and holding her hand around certain parts and she's going to go. All right. This is like one of those old fashioned safes, but it looks like they also have current for another part of it. So if you can figure out the circ. Not the circuit. The circuit for maybe the other part. [03:26:58] Speaker A: It's a key card reader. [03:27:00] Speaker C: Yeah. Okay. Yeah, so we definitely need key card reader or key card. And then for the old fashioned part, that's gonna be. I can probably work on that part with the hearing and the clicking and some other bad activities from my youth. [03:27:23] Speaker B: Y'all do what you gotta do. I'll keep you covered. [03:27:26] Speaker D: Yeah. [03:27:29] Speaker A: Go ahead. [03:27:31] Speaker D: Andre's just again looking to see if there is a key card on these guards that have not then since there isn't really a place to. He doesn't really have time to try to find a key card. He will see if he can maybe just bust open the reader and like mess with the parts inside to bypass it. [03:27:47] Speaker A: Okay. I would like Andre to make me. Let's go Intelligence and electronics. And I would like coda to roll me perception and actually let's. Let's make it dexterity awareness because you've got to listen for it, but you also have to have like light enough fingers that you don't like, blow past a number and cause it to lock down. [03:28:17] Speaker C: Yeah. [03:28:19] Speaker D: And successes for Andre. [03:28:22] Speaker A: Good Lord. [03:28:23] Speaker C: Dexterity, awareness. [03:28:25] Speaker A: Yes. Clint, I would like another dexterity athletics from Ian, please. [03:28:33] Speaker B: You got it. [03:28:38] Speaker C: And successes. [03:28:42] Speaker A: Very good. 10 and a 10. How's Ian doing? [03:28:52] Speaker B: He only got one, but he has legend so he's gonna lose a legend point to do better. Oh, man. Two. [03:29:05] Speaker A: All right. He takes another basic. [03:29:08] Speaker B: Oh. [03:29:16] Speaker A: All right. [03:29:16] Speaker B: Does he have a chance to soak that, or is that just going based. [03:29:19] Speaker A: That's after his soak. [03:29:20] Speaker B: Cool. Yeah. [03:29:23] Speaker A: All right. Ten and ten. Coda and Andre have both gotten through the first part of this. This is a three phase thing. So I'm going to have you roll again. It. We might be able to skip the third phase if you roll well enough. [03:29:42] Speaker D: But eight successes from Andre. [03:29:45] Speaker C: Okay, Could I use conviction? [03:29:50] Speaker A: No, conviction won't help with this. [03:29:52] Speaker C: Okay, Conviction. All right, cool. Seven successes. [03:30:00] Speaker A: All right, that's. That's round. Phase two is down. One more roll from each of you, please. [03:30:09] Speaker D: Well. [03:30:10] Speaker A: Oh, oh. [03:30:13] Speaker C: Four. Ooh. [03:30:15] Speaker A: Do you want to re roll that? We have? [03:30:21] Speaker C: Okay, yeah. Okay. Yeah. [03:30:24] Speaker A: I mean, you don't have to. It's just a question. Do you want to re roll that? Because that's pretty. [03:30:28] Speaker C: I definitely do. I definitely do. Because if some alarms go off, I could already see my life flashing before my eyes again. [03:30:34] Speaker A: 9, 6, 7, 9 is much better. Okay, you guys. Clint, you can. You're listening to the chaos upstairs. The alarms, the noises are still. The noisemakers. Some of them are still going off. Most of them sound like they have probably been disabled in some fashion. But you are hearing the fighting, and the part of you that is your fate is bound up with Ian as your creature birthright. You feel something, like, tugging at the core of who you are. Ian's in trouble. He is fighting valiantly. He is fighting as bravely as you're pretty sure you would to do his job, to keep them busy. But it's not going great. [03:31:29] Speaker B: Clint is gripping the staff in his hands, white knuckling, grinding his teeth. Come on, come on, let's go, let's go. [03:31:39] Speaker A: And as you were saying that. You hear a thunk and a hiss as this pneumatic door swings open and reveals a vault inside. The vault itself is not completely empty. It's not even like you would imagine in the movie where it's empty except for something on a pedestal in the middle. The sides of the room are lined with objects. All of you can feel immediately like you have been smacked in the face with various levels of power radiating off of a lot of these objects. [03:32:15] Speaker B: Holy. [03:32:18] Speaker A: There is everything from blades to shields to armor. There's, like, innocuous looking things. Like, there's a thing that looks just like a. Like a boomerang. There is a backpack. Things that look completely mundane and. But you can feel just from standing in the doorway that probably everything in this room has some sort of power coming off of it. In the center of the room is a raised, like, platform thing. And sitting on a. Almost like a display stand or something with. With a pneumatic arm that looks not unlike what Andre designed. Inside of the box, just on the outside, is sitting a long, slightly curved, glittering golden feather that glows. [03:33:27] Speaker B: Don't think it's worth messing with all the other shit. Let's get that feather and get the hell out of here. [03:33:31] Speaker C: Yeah. [03:33:32] Speaker D: As much as I would like to just clear this place out, we just need to get where we came for and get going. [03:33:37] Speaker E: Yes. [03:33:37] Speaker C: But before we walk forward, because I see this in the movies all the time. Let's see. Is there anything in Oliver's backpack that we can use to kick up dust in this room to see if there's, like. [03:33:55] Speaker B: And puff it out there? [03:33:57] Speaker C: I. That might set off smoke alarms, but also, I don't. I lost my weed a while ago, and I've been trying to not think about it. I have, like, baby powder. Oh, wait, don't we have sand or, like, dirt? Like a bag of dirt or some nuts like that? Anyone remember us grabbing a bag of dirt? [03:34:29] Speaker B: We got a bag of seeds. I don't know about a bag of dirt, though. [03:34:33] Speaker D: I don't know what y'all got. [03:34:35] Speaker A: I am looking at his. At his shopping lists and things, but I don't know that I have, like, the full list anywhere in his journal. [03:34:51] Speaker C: Okay. At the very least, we want to kick up. Andre, do you see if there's any, like, security systems or anything in here? [03:35:02] Speaker D: Just taking a quick look around. I'll see if I can. Can't get to see any cameras or any, like, emitters where there might be, like, any, like, laser trip wires. [03:35:15] Speaker A: Make me a perception and electronics roll. [03:35:25] Speaker D: All righty. Seven successes. [03:35:40] Speaker A: All right, there. It does look like there might be some sort of electronic, like, laser grid, but you can't really see the laser, so it's hard to tell exactly where they are. But you could see little sensors and receivers on. On the sides of the room. [03:36:05] Speaker D: Yeah, it looks like there are the. There are laser sensors here. Can't see the lasers, but, yeah, good call. [03:36:14] Speaker C: Okay, let me dig in my backpack real quick. What do I have? What do I have? What do I have? I can burn but smoke me. Well, they got to know that something's going on, right? [03:36:38] Speaker A: You all begin to hear less and less, like, bird noises from up top. [03:36:44] Speaker B: Sounds like Ian's getting away. We don't got much time left. [03:36:50] Speaker E: Okay. [03:36:53] Speaker C: All right. How about. Okay, I'm gonna burn some of my toaster strudels and let smoke just go out from it to see if we could. Yeah. [03:37:12] Speaker A: Would you like to have maybe Andre help you to see how. See if he could help you generate as much smoke as possible? Yes. All right. I will allow both of you. I will allow coda to roll me. Let's go with wits and academics. And I will allow Andre to roll me. Whitson chemistry, you can both roll at once. So we'll just take the total. [03:37:53] Speaker D: New successes from Andre. [03:38:02] Speaker A: Four successes from Kota. Pretty good. Okay. [03:38:05] Speaker B: 6. [03:38:06] Speaker A: Between the two of you, you manage to generate a fair bit of smoke, which does reveal a number of the. The glowing green lines of the security grid. Laser grid. Okay. It is possible to get there as just one person. It will take some time. You're going to have to either move very quickly and very gracefully, or you're going to just have to barrel through it and risk setting off an alarm and hope that you can get out in time. [03:38:36] Speaker B: You want me to throw you over there? [03:38:40] Speaker D: Yeah. Maybe Clinton and I could just sort of launch you. [03:38:45] Speaker C: H. Yeah, just launch me. [03:38:51] Speaker B: All right, let's go. [03:38:54] Speaker D: Andre will go ahead. [03:38:55] Speaker C: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Do not throw me. Wait. [03:39:00] Speaker B: Okay. [03:39:00] Speaker A: Cuz. [03:39:01] Speaker C: What if I land on the feather? [03:39:03] Speaker B: Good point. Okay. [03:39:07] Speaker A: I mean, I would. I would allow you to roll to see if you could avoid that. I'm just going to throw that out there. I'm not. [03:39:13] Speaker D: I personally have faith in your abilities. Coda. [03:39:15] Speaker A: You also have sky's grace coda, which helps with your maneuverability in the air. [03:39:20] Speaker B: Also got trick shooter to help if we take a moment to aim. [03:39:26] Speaker A: Yeah. [03:39:26] Speaker C: This was coda's brief moment of like, wait, wait, wait, wait. [03:39:29] Speaker A: But yes, as an aside, coda, Sky's grace, if you just spend a point of legend, you could just double your jump, which allows you to be the one to gauge where you go. [03:39:39] Speaker C: Yeah. The thing about legend. [03:39:42] Speaker A: Are you at legend? [03:39:45] Speaker C: I have one more left, and I feel like the shit's gonna hit the fan at some point, and I'm scared. [03:39:56] Speaker A: All right, then they can. They can throw you, and I'll just have you roll to see if you could catch yourself self. [03:40:02] Speaker C: Okay. [03:40:02] Speaker B: Ready? [03:40:03] Speaker C: Yeah. Eat me. [03:40:05] Speaker A: I'm not going to make you guys roll. She's not big, and you're both very strong. I. I will, however, allow you to roll. Just. Both of you can roll raw decks with your epics. Sorry, I'm not going to let you use Throne, Clint. That's for weapons, not people. [03:40:27] Speaker C: I am a weapon. [03:40:31] Speaker A: Very funny. [03:40:33] Speaker B: Hell, yeah, dude. [03:40:35] Speaker D: That is six successes from Andre, and I got four. [03:40:39] Speaker A: All right, Coda. You go flying across the room. Make me a dexterity and athletics role to see how well you can catch yourself. [03:40:50] Speaker C: Okay, Come on. [03:40:51] Speaker B: Come. Come on. You can do it. [03:40:56] Speaker C: I'm a cat. I can land on my feet. I'm a cat. I can land on my feet. Seven successes. [03:41:06] Speaker A: Very good, Koda. You don't know how you pull this off, but you go flying, and you are sure that you're going to hit the far wall. But at the last minute, you pull out your bat and kind of spin it in the air as you are flying so that it turns into that hooked form that your sword takes. And you use that to kind of hit that pedestal that it's on and reorient your. Oh, my goodness. Momentum so that you can. So that you can kind of scrabble your arms around the pedestal so that you're clinging to it with, like, your feet against the sides of it and so that you're not touching the floor. And then you very slowly dealing with the smoke in the room, which is not pleasant, by the way your eyes are watering. It's very, very uncomfortable in here. But you managed to very slowly kind of lower your feet onto the floor while avoiding the laser lasers. [03:42:17] Speaker C: Made it. And looking at this thing with the feather, what exactly do I see? [03:42:29] Speaker A: The feather is sitting on what looks like a little gyroscope. So it's the pedestal in the middle of the room. And on top of the pedestal is like a display arm thing that is pinching the bottom of the feather where the stem is or the root of it would be. And then it looks almost like a little, like, gyro piece. So that if. If the. Like, if the. The building were to move or whatever, it would keep the feather pointing straight up. [03:42:58] Speaker C: Okay. All right. So Kodo will get the box and start to remove the feather carefully and place it into our situation. We have set up. [03:43:17] Speaker A: Okay. Dexterity and larceny. Please. [03:43:23] Speaker B: Don'T crush it. Don't crush it. [03:43:29] Speaker C: Koda crushes it. All right. Five successes. [03:43:43] Speaker A: You manage to pluck the feather out of the little holder very, very carefully and are settling it into your box or into the box and closing the box when an alarm begins to go off around you. Okay. You did not bother to look at whether or not the little gyroscope that was holding it Was in any way, shape, or form, you know, part of the security system. [03:44:13] Speaker B: Time to go. Let's go. [03:44:15] Speaker C: Okay. [03:44:16] Speaker D: Time to flee. [03:44:17] Speaker A: Call to make sure you all hear footsteps above you running towards what you were pretty sure are the stairwells. [03:44:29] Speaker B: Oh, God. We gotta get. [03:44:31] Speaker C: Yeah. Coda will make sure it is secure in this situation, and then we'll start to head out. [03:44:40] Speaker A: All right. Not bothering with the. Not bothering with the grid, I'm assuming. [03:44:43] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. No. [03:44:45] Speaker A: All right, is anybody grabbing any of the items inside, or are we leaving them behind? [03:44:51] Speaker D: Andre will grab whatever is the closest thing because he's just the. Because he's just like, you know what these people. And if the alarm's already going off, they know we're here. [03:45:02] Speaker A: Roll me a D 100 and a. [03:45:09] Speaker D: D 10, a 19 and a 10. [03:45:17] Speaker A: Wow. Okay. Is anybody else grabbing anything? [03:45:21] Speaker B: Yeah, Clint was going to go for the backpack because that sounded like the most useful fucking thing of all of them. [03:45:25] Speaker C: Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. [03:45:28] Speaker A: The backpack's on the far side of the room, so you'll have to go inside to grab it. [03:45:33] Speaker B: How about I extend this stick real far? [03:45:37] Speaker A: It is not going to reach, and you only have a couple of seconds. [03:45:44] Speaker B: Seeing that it's the farthest thing. [03:45:45] Speaker A: Do you want to just grab something random, or are you going to go in and grab the backpack? [03:45:50] Speaker B: Alarm's already going off. Clint's going in. [03:45:53] Speaker A: All right, Clint gets the backpack. Make a note of that in your journal, and I will send you what that is later. Gota. [03:46:01] Speaker C: Anything, whatever she can. [03:46:04] Speaker A: Focus on the box. Okay. Random thing. Give me a D100 and a D10. If you and Andre would put those in your journals, I will enlighten you to what you have later. [03:46:20] Speaker C: Okay. [03:46:22] Speaker A: Roll me a D10 and a D100. Yep. D100 is 66. [03:46:28] Speaker C: D10 is a 6. [03:46:31] Speaker A: Okay. Oh, gosh. [03:46:33] Speaker C: 666. [03:46:34] Speaker D: Oh, no. [03:46:39] Speaker A: All right, you all take off down the hallway. All right, we are officially in what is essentially a foot race. Which way are you going to get out? You can hear people coming from most directions. [03:46:52] Speaker B: We gotta get down. [03:46:55] Speaker D: Yep. [03:46:55] Speaker C: Yes. Would it make sense for us to go back into the elevator shaft and go down and to get back to the sewer grates? [03:47:09] Speaker A: You're on the same level as the sewer grate. The elevator shaft was a was. It was a way to maneuver up and down, but you never really went up. [03:47:20] Speaker C: Okay, great. Sit in. Yeah. Sewer, great. [03:47:24] Speaker B: You doing great. [03:47:27] Speaker A: All right, you all take off down the hallways. Pele is leading the way. He Is moving as quickly as he dares without losing any of you as you are running. At one point, you see there are people coming from all directions. Most of them look human. At one point, you blow past what looks like a fire giant. Like, he bursts out of a room, and you could see that there's, like, fire wreathing his face and his hair, and he reaches out to try to grab at Koda, But Koda, being is as slight and spry as she is. I'm not even going to make a roll to get by him. He rolled like shit to try and grab, so it's no point. Your epics alone would have beat his role. It was sad. And I would like all of you to roll me. Dexterity athletics, please. [03:48:28] Speaker B: Yeah. Hell, yeah. [03:48:46] Speaker A: Seven from Coda. Did you really make the specialty? 666. [03:48:54] Speaker C: Yeah. [03:48:55] Speaker A: Oh, you're just cursing yourself. [03:49:00] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. It's an athletics check. Let's go. [03:49:02] Speaker D: Ooh. Seven successes from Andre. [03:49:05] Speaker B: Eight successes from Clamp. [03:49:08] Speaker A: All right. Yeah. You all do exceptionally well. Pele is, weirdly enough, despite the fact that he's got a really tiny dice pole, Pele rolled, like, as well as he possibly could have. I rolled straight tens for Pele. [03:49:23] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [03:49:24] Speaker A: Fuck out of boy. Pele is determined to get the fuck out of here. Pele leads you not the way that you came, but on a kind of circuitous route through the bottom of the building. It is like he can tell to some degree where people are going to be coming from and is taking you on the path where you're going to encounter the least amount of resistance, because he's worried that you're going to get cornered if you go back the way that you came. But eventually, he manages to bring you back to the original. Great. Go, go, go, go, go, go. And he's saying, dakota. [03:50:03] Speaker C: All right, y'all. Go, go, go. [03:50:05] Speaker B: No, Cody, you go first. Come on. [03:50:06] Speaker A: Right, right. Yep. [03:50:07] Speaker C: Go, Ink. [03:50:08] Speaker E: Go, Ink. [03:50:08] Speaker C: Go, Ink. [03:50:10] Speaker B: Andre, you after all. [03:50:12] Speaker D: Right. [03:50:15] Speaker B: Once they're both down there, Clint will start heading down and he'll pull the grate back into place. [03:50:21] Speaker A: Pele jumps onto your shoulder. Clint, just as you begin to pull the grate down, you almost left him behind. [03:50:27] Speaker B: Good job. Come on, little guy. [03:50:30] Speaker A: All right, I need another dexterity athletics from everybody. You can hear people above. They're trying to figure out where you went, and then somebody yells the great. So they are hot on your heels. [03:50:48] Speaker B: That's six. [03:50:51] Speaker D: That is nine from Andre. [03:50:53] Speaker A: Six, Nine. Six. [03:50:55] Speaker C: All right. Yeah. [03:50:57] Speaker A: Excellent. You all tear off down the sewers. You can hear the grate get ripped upward. In fact, it gets ripped up so violently that you could hear the metal scream as it gets ripped practically off of its hinges by somebody of mighty strength. And then you hear several splashes as people jump down into the sewer and begin to give chase. [03:51:22] Speaker B: The shit's in the sewer. Let's go. [03:51:26] Speaker A: All right, here's my question. Are you all using glow sticks to get around in the dark again, or are you going based on memory? [03:51:37] Speaker B: Memory's not good for Clint. He'll use a glow stick. [03:51:41] Speaker A: Okay, I'm just. I have to ask, because glow sticks are going to make you easier to find. [03:51:48] Speaker B: Unless anyone else has got a way to do this. [03:51:52] Speaker D: Andre's fairly smart. [03:51:54] Speaker B: He's. [03:51:54] Speaker D: He's got. Also got the. He spent a long time looking at the. At the way that these sewers work, so he thinks he's confident he can do it for your memory. [03:52:05] Speaker B: If that's the case, Clint's gonna hold on to your shoulder and folly. [03:52:10] Speaker C: Yeah, and. And Koda will listen to Andre saying whatever. [03:52:16] Speaker A: All right. And Pele is a cat, so he's fine. Pele can see in the dark. It's all. It's all good. Pele, however, jumps off of Clint's shoulder and begins to lead the way. And you all take off into the darkness, hoping not to be found. I would like all of you to roll me Dexterity and stealth. Oh, to see if you can avoid being heard or seen in the dark. [03:52:48] Speaker B: If we don't have a point in stealth, that means we can't use our epic, right? [03:52:52] Speaker A: Correct. [03:52:53] Speaker D: Okay, this is where I'm glad I learned a little something from sneaking past the pooch. [03:53:02] Speaker B: I will use a point of legend. [03:53:05] Speaker A: That's probably a good idea. All right. [03:53:10] Speaker D: Four from Andre and Koda, three from Clint. [03:53:13] Speaker B: Three from Clint. That's right. [03:53:14] Speaker A: All right, let me roll for them. Okay, you all managed to find your way back to the original manhole. You were reasonably certain nobody saw you or is able to follow you right away, which should give you time to get away. [03:53:39] Speaker B: Get up there and get out. Go. [03:53:43] Speaker C: Yeah, we said we were gonna. There was some empty buildings around here, right, Pele? [03:53:50] Speaker A: All around us. Most of this block is deserted at this hour. [03:53:56] Speaker C: Okay, let's head into an empty building and tuck ourselves away for. For now, maybe. What do y'all think? Saying this while still on the move. [03:54:08] Speaker B: It's either that or we cut through them until we get the hell out of here. In a way far, far away. [03:54:15] Speaker C: That tail. Oh, wait. Mom did say she was going to Meet us when we got out of here. [03:54:21] Speaker B: That's right. Let's give her a chance to. By getting the out. [03:54:27] Speaker D: Agreed. [03:54:30] Speaker C: Yes. And ever getting out. [03:54:34] Speaker A: All right, I would like all of you to roll me another dex and stealth roll, please. One more to make sure that you can take cover long enough and not be found. [03:54:51] Speaker D: Damn. [03:54:53] Speaker B: All right, one more. I'm running low, low, low. [03:55:00] Speaker A: Oh, Koda, please take an extra legend for your stunt earlier. [03:55:06] Speaker C: Oh, yes. Thank you. [03:55:08] Speaker A: I really should have given you an extra die, but you ended up not needing it, so it's okay for getting thrown across the room. [03:55:15] Speaker C: Oh, that. Okay. Yes. I was like, wait, what did I do? Thank you. [03:55:25] Speaker B: I got one Success. [03:55:31] Speaker A: Andre. [03:55:32] Speaker D: Andre got four. [03:55:35] Speaker A: And Kota, I got. [03:55:38] Speaker C: What did I. I got a four. [03:55:43] Speaker A: All right. Yeah. You guys managed to hide. Had Clint been on his own, he'd have been found pretty easily. But with the two of you there to kind of COVID him and Pele being a stealthy master. Pele is the tiny God of stealth. You are able to hunker down and hide for most of the night. You are. You were basically hunkered in the back of a. In the back in. In a. In a not overly comfortable place. It's. It is a. Like a large. Large for a closet, but still a closet that like a. Like a janitor would keep, like, you know, chemicals and mops and stuff in from when he normally cleans the building that you're hiding in. But you managed to cram the three of you and Pele in there and hide and stay very quiet throughout most of the night. Come the bright light of morning is when you all finally figure it's probably safe to come out. You haven't heard any movement in a while. I say not the bright light of morning, like the. It's like dawn to, like, pre. Dawn to dawn. You know what I mean? You figure this is about the time you should probably leave, because if somebody does work here, they're going to show up soon. [03:57:14] Speaker B: All right, hold on. I got a number I can text. Clint is going to send. Is going to send Bastet a text message. [03:57:22] Speaker C: Don't text my mom. [03:57:27] Speaker A: What does the text message say? [03:57:30] Speaker B: It's going to be a combined thing. So it's going to have the picture of the logo of the folks that we saw. And it's also just going to say, we got out, we are safe. We are on the move. [03:57:41] Speaker A: Okay. Speaking of the logo, I would like anybody who has either academics or occult to roll me intelligence, and whichever one is better for you. [03:57:55] Speaker C: Oh, sure. You said intelligence. And the others? [03:58:01] Speaker A: Uhhuh. And either or academics. [03:58:05] Speaker B: Copy One success. [03:58:12] Speaker A: Andre. [03:58:15] Speaker D: Nine successes for Andre. [03:58:17] Speaker A: Oh. Six. Dakota. Holy crap. Six. [03:58:21] Speaker C: Damn. [03:58:21] Speaker D: Has come through. [03:58:25] Speaker A: Clint. Argus. Sounds familiar, but you can't place it. Kota and Andre. Argus. The name Argus sticks out as something from Greek mythology. Argus. Argus Panopti. In ancient Greek. His name translated to all seeing. Argus was a many eyed giant. Is a many eyed giant in Greek mythology. And he was the. He was the guardian of the nymph who was turned into a cow. IO and her son arrest her. [03:59:19] Speaker C: Huh. And so they made a security company. [03:59:27] Speaker D: It's all about keeping an eye on things. [03:59:31] Speaker C: Wow. Some this world is really cheesy. [03:59:42] Speaker D: Well, you got the name in it. That's how you give them the worship. [03:59:46] Speaker C: Yeah, that's really smart. Dang. [03:59:52] Speaker A: You are Koda. You receive a text message from a number you do not recognize. And it's. There's an address and a message. Mom said to send you this. It's a safe house. She'll meet you there. Coda. [04:00:23] Speaker C: Oh yes. I was muted. She's text back. Cool. Nice to meet you, sibling. [04:00:31] Speaker A: You get back a thumbs up emoji. [04:00:34] Speaker C: Oh my God. And then she'll tell the group the address and go. Let's get out of here. [04:00:44] Speaker B: Please. [04:00:46] Speaker A: All right. It does not take you long to arrive at a squat and rather nondescript little building. And when you get there, an elderly woman opens the door for you and gestures you in. Come in. [04:01:06] Speaker B: Howdy, ma'am. Thank you. Thank you. [04:01:09] Speaker D: Thank you, ma'am. [04:01:11] Speaker A: Thanks. You are Koda? Yep. Your mother is also here. Already here. [04:01:20] Speaker C: Thank you. And who are you? Just a servant of my mother. [04:01:29] Speaker A: Of your family. [04:01:32] Speaker C: Okay, cool. Well, great to meet you and thanks for doing the work that you do. [04:01:40] Speaker A: You're very welcome. And she kind of gestures you down the hall at a pair of double doors. Cool. Down the hall and into. Through the double doors, you find yourself in a rather plush sitting room. There's no like. There's no couches or anything. It's all like throw pillows and stuff on the floor. And lounging among them is Bastet. She is once again surrounded by a number of cats. Pele immediately walks over and flops at her side and looks exhausted. [04:02:23] Speaker E: Basset will look down and give Pele a little scratch on the top of the head. You did good. Now rest. [04:02:35] Speaker A: Bastet. You can tell as you reach down to scritch behind his ears. Pele used a gift that the companion cats that you send out very rarely use. In that he extended one of his extra lives to other cats to get them to help. And it was lost. [04:02:59] Speaker E: And she'll just simply bend over and kiss him on the head, too. You three made it back alive. [04:03:12] Speaker D: Yeah, that we did, ma'am. [04:03:17] Speaker E: Token in hand, I presume. [04:03:22] Speaker B: Well, we don't have a stash, so the token part's gonna have to wait until later. [04:03:27] Speaker D: Come on now. [04:03:29] Speaker C: Here you go. [04:03:32] Speaker E: Thank you. And Clint, if that is what you're into, we do have. And she'll point to just some hookah that's like lying about in the room somewhere. Have at it. [04:03:50] Speaker B: Well, I mean, I'm not one to turn down nice hospitality, but give me a minute. I'm going to focus on getting a hold of Ian first before we let myself relax. [04:04:00] Speaker A: You know, speaking of Ian, there is a thunking against one of the windows nearby. [04:04:06] Speaker B: Speaking of. Here we are. And we'll go to open the window. [04:04:10] Speaker A: And Ian will hop in. He is battered, his feathers are in rough shape, but he is alive. [04:04:21] Speaker B: You did it, big guy. You did it. Thank you. [04:04:24] Speaker C: Come on. [04:04:27] Speaker B: Get your food. We'll get you water. We'll get you taken care of. Come on. [04:04:32] Speaker A: And he hops onto your shoulder and tucks his head under his wing and, like, huddles against the side of your neck. And it's just. You can tell he's exhausted. [04:04:46] Speaker B: Flint will reach up to comfort him and then just let him rest. [04:04:55] Speaker E: Bastet is going to grab the container with the. With the feather, and she's just going to observe it for a couple of minutes in complete silence. And it looks like she's thoroughly looking it over, making sure that there's not even as much as a scratch or like a separation of feathers. [04:05:26] Speaker A: Okay, so you're opening it up to look at the feather itself. [04:05:29] Speaker E: Yeah. [04:05:30] Speaker A: All right. You could open it up. The feather, it's not, like, flawless, but it's nowhere near damaged enough that it could have been a problem. They did a very good job of transporting it. And you're not even sure if the damage that is there is something that they caused or if it is just the remnants of having retrieved it from its original bearer. [04:05:58] Speaker E: You all did some excellent work. A little bit of damage, but nothing to be beard. Something that will make. Yes. Wonderful. And she will very gently put it back in its container, close it up, and she'll hand it off to the older woman. She's probably already been given clear instructions as, like, how to handle this thing. [04:06:39] Speaker A: Oh, absolutely. [04:06:40] Speaker E: And we'll. We'll make sure that she goes and takes care of it. She'll fold her hands together, take a deep breath. Andrew Briscoe, Clint Brazos, Coda Maskler. The three of you have managed to succeed your final trial. Congratulations. [04:07:30] Speaker B: That's it. [04:07:31] Speaker D: Thank you, ma'am. [04:07:35] Speaker E: Please eat. Rest. You three deserve it. And she'll gesture. And there is a small table that has the. The table itself is filled with food. Different Egyptian style dishes, even, like, there's, like, there's kebabs, there's roasted pigeon, a plate full of Egyptian desserts, even, like, shawarma, though not typically Egyptian cuisine. There are various different meat dishes, plant dishes, and there are three, like, place settings at this table. All of them have wine glasses filled with a wine that smells very sweet. And she'll go behind Koda and just rest a head. I mean, rest a hand on her head and just look her over, make sure that she didn't get, like, scratched up anything bad. And when she gets confirmation that she is. That she looks okay, she'll gesture. It is over. You have done what I have asked. You didn't stir too much trouble. You got out alive. The feathers and damaged you are done. [04:09:45] Speaker C: Coda's gonna try to keep a straight face to kind of be like, yeah, of course we got it done. But then her eyes are just gonna, like, fill with tears, and she's just gonna hug her and start crying. [04:09:57] Speaker E: It's okay. It is okay. You are safe now. Feel free to take a couple days here to lay low, enjoy the sights, rest. The cats will watch over you, as will I. I will not leave your side until you are ready to go home. And we will get there, get you there safely home. Well, home back to the States at least. You have a very important task coming up. It is to present and to make sure that you get your friend out of the situation that he is in. [04:11:15] Speaker C: All right? Okay. Yeah, I guess I should eat for something. Yeah. Thank you for this, mom. And. Yeah. [04:11:44] Speaker E: And make sure your pets are taken care of, too. Something tells me that you might owe them all a little bit more love. And she's going to look at Pele, and then she's going to look at the. At the bird and just take a little bag of, like, bird seed and drop it into Clint's hand. [04:12:18] Speaker B: Thank you. [04:12:20] Speaker E: Not for you. [04:12:21] Speaker B: Oh, I know I ain't that hungry for that kind of food. [04:12:27] Speaker A: All right, thank you, everybody, for joining us. We hope you had as much fun as we did. We're sorry we were in so late, but we're glad that some of you stuck through to watch it to the end. We will see you next Friday for the finale of season three of Apotheosis. Good night.
