[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sa. [00:00:30] Speaker B: You're listening to A Path. You A. Mutants and Masterminds Actual play by Hallowed Haven Studios A couple of weeks after running into Loki, we got a call from Damon. That usually means food trouble or both. And this time it was both. Damon was cooking, the dryads were around, Oliver was looking like a new demigod, Andre got a shiny new arm, and Stefan was still under supervision. We met a few dryads, but one of them stopped being a dryad. Turns out she was blithe, saying, scion of Odin sent to keep an eye on us. Our handler, watchdog, parole officer, whatever you want to call her, she asked some questions. So we explained a bit of our history. The loa party, the Kraken, the wolf throwing, Gwen, the bargain, the seeds, my chair problem, the whole Stefan mess. It kinda sounds bad when you put it all in a row. But Lucky got interested in my phone and we got to lookin at my contacts. Turns out I got Odin saved in there already. As a wanderer, I tried sending a selfie of myself and Blythe his way. And then the temperature dropped the edge of the day. At the edge of the patio stood Lyra, scion of Hades. She was beaten bloody, throat torn open, and she managed to get a message our way. We found one before the wolves did. We thought we had time. We were wrong. Then a video showed a burning house, bodies with hearts removed, and Lyra dead in the woods. And then there was another message. Garm sends his regards. In the video, Stefan saw some cloaked figure walking away with two wolves and a white staff. So think we got a whole lot of work ahead of ourselves now. It's good to be back. [00:02:46] Speaker C: I'm Clara Allison, and I'm playing Blaithjang, the scion of Odin. [00:02:51] Speaker B: Hi, I'm Gavin Cash, and I'm playing Clint Brazos, a scion of the Morrigan. [00:02:57] Speaker D: Hi, I'm Heretic. I'm playing Stefan Vargar, a scion of loo. [00:03:03] Speaker E: Hello, I'm Gary, and I'll be playing Oliver Bright, a scion of Okma. [00:03:09] Speaker F: I'm Solomon, and I will be playing Andre Brisco, a scion of Hephaestus. [00:03:16] Speaker A: And I'm Glady Porcelain. I will be your storyteller for the evening. Tonight's reading comes from the Volsunga saga, the tale of Sigmund and Sinfiotli. In it, two men put on the skins of wolves and find that the shape of a monster is easier to adopt than it is to give up now on a time as they fare Abroad in the wood for the getting of wealth, they find a certain house and two men with great gold rings asleep therein. Now these twain were spellbound. Skin changers and wolf skins were hanging up over them in the house. And every 10th day might they come out of those wolf skins. And they were king's sons, so Sigmund and Sinfiotli do the wolf skins on them. And then might they now wise come out of them. Though forsooth, the same nature went with them as heretofore. They howled as wolves. How? But both knew the meaning of that howling. They lay out in the wildwood, and each went his way. And a word they made betwixt them, that they should risk the onset of seven men, but no more, and that he who was first to be set on should howl in wolfish wise. Let us not depart from this, says Sigmund, for thou art young and overbold, and men will deem the quarry good when they take thee. Good evening, players. [00:04:48] Speaker E: Hello. [00:04:48] Speaker B: Good evening. [00:04:49] Speaker G: Hello. [00:04:50] Speaker C: I'm going to walk into the sea. [00:04:54] Speaker A: Nothing's happened yet. [00:04:57] Speaker C: Anticipatory. [00:04:59] Speaker A: When last we left off, you all were on the deck of Damon's farmhouse and had received ghostly text messages. One of you had gotten a vision. What are you doing? [00:05:14] Speaker B: Well, that was. Is our friend, the messenger, still here, or have they departed? [00:05:19] Speaker A: No, the messenger has been carried away by Ian, remember? [00:05:22] Speaker B: That's right. Excellent. So. Well, we've got some. Some stuff to go off of. I guess we gotta look into this video, ask around, hold. I'm gonna send a couple of texts real quick. [00:05:35] Speaker C: Andre, you're techie, right? [00:05:36] Speaker F: That I am. [00:05:37] Speaker C: Is there a way to get location data off the phone? [00:05:41] Speaker F: I could probably see what I can rip off of it if the travel didn't completely wreck it. [00:05:47] Speaker E: I have a spell that can get us there, but it would take time. [00:05:50] Speaker B: All right, I'm going to send off a text to Lou real quick. He. He's pretty good about stuff, right? You think he'd know a thing? [00:05:56] Speaker C: Did Oliver share with us his vision? [00:05:59] Speaker E: It's been a week. I forget assumedly. [00:06:02] Speaker A: Yes, I think he did. If not, we could assume that he has caught you guys up. [00:06:07] Speaker C: I also need to send a text. [00:06:10] Speaker A: Okay. Well, Clint, what does your text say? [00:06:18] Speaker B: Hey, Lou, I'm kind of missing you. We got some things going on, some stuff we'd like to have some stuff looked into. Clint will try and describe the video as best as he can with the limitations of it. Writing with his thumbs. We were also. You know, this message was delivered by Lyra, sign of Hades. And things aren't looking too good for her and her friends. Do you have any connection to or can you reach out to maybe find some information about Garm for us? Love you. Talk till later. Bye. [00:07:03] Speaker A: You do not immediately get an answer back live. [00:07:07] Speaker C: I'm gonna send one to my dad because old man whitestaff2dogs does feel very pointed. [00:07:15] Speaker A: Okay. Also, probably shouldn't be calling them dogs while talking to your father. [00:07:21] Speaker C: Well, I'm not gonna say it to him. I'll just send him a. Does the name Garm ring a bell? [00:07:26] Speaker A: Before you send that? This feels like something that you should probably make a knowledge check on first. [00:07:37] Speaker C: I, Clara, have an idea of what might be happening, but I just. [00:07:41] Speaker A: I am sure I would like you to roll. Let's look at your sheet [00:07:49] Speaker B: first. Roll. [00:07:52] Speaker A: Just do like a raw intelligence check. And if you have eidetic, you can have the plus five from that. [00:07:59] Speaker E: I have expertise, mythology. Can I try? [00:08:02] Speaker A: You can also try. Yes. [00:08:04] Speaker C: Let the nerd do it. [00:08:06] Speaker A: You should do it too. You should do it too. [00:08:10] Speaker C: Fine. [00:08:11] Speaker A: Anybody who has expertise, mythology, or the ability to roll expertise without ranks in it is welcome to make the roll. [00:08:17] Speaker E: I might know a thing. [00:08:18] Speaker F: Here we go. [00:08:19] Speaker C: All right. [00:08:19] Speaker A: Oh, my God. Oliver [00:08:24] Speaker B: would an expertise in cooking and [00:08:26] Speaker F: fly here that only 27 for Andre. [00:08:29] Speaker B: All right. [00:08:30] Speaker A: Okay. Did you say only a 27? [00:08:34] Speaker F: I did, yes. Compared to Oliver's 31. [00:08:38] Speaker C: Yeah, I rolled an 18, which is the best. I'm gonna roll all fucking night. [00:08:41] Speaker A: Okay, well, the good news is, is that you are of the right pantheon, that you really only needed a 15. Anyway, Garm is the child of, like, Fenrir. Garm is like the big of the. Like the big big of the Fenris wolves. [00:08:56] Speaker C: Yeah, that was my guess. [00:09:00] Speaker A: Oliver and Andre would both know that in addition, because you rolled. You both rolled so well. Garm has, like, direct, like, contribution to, like, the Ragnarok story prophecies. Like, in a lot of the. In a lot of the. The, like the Volsinger saga and things like that. Garm has explicitly talked about breaking out of his chains and running and running wild. When Ragnarok comes, it's 6:00pm do you [00:09:29] Speaker C: know where your dog is? [00:09:32] Speaker A: So, yes, I am not going to make Stefan roll because Stefan. Stefan has special. Has special levels of knowledge for reasons I think. [00:09:46] Speaker C: Then I have a different text to send. [00:09:50] Speaker A: Hold that thought. Clint, your phone chimes. [00:09:54] Speaker B: Oh, let me check it real quick. [00:09:56] Speaker A: And you have a text message which I'm dropping into your thing. If you would read it, please. [00:10:03] Speaker B: All Right. Let's see. Okay. Well, it seems that Lou has some information for us. It's not gonna help directly, but Clint will lower his phone and look over to Stefan Garm. You know, we've gotta kick his ass, but we also have to maybe stay away from him as best as we can. Lou don't think we're ready for dealing with Garm. [00:10:36] Speaker G: Yep, he's probably right. I don't think so either. [00:10:39] Speaker F: Neither do I. Yeah, it's not a good idea yet. [00:10:45] Speaker B: How many times have we been tasked with something that we're not sure if we're ready for and then we kick its ass anyways? [00:10:52] Speaker E: This is not one of those times. [00:10:55] Speaker B: I have faith and belief in all of you. [00:10:59] Speaker G: Well, the main problem is that Garm currently, or at least I think, guards the underworld. [00:11:07] Speaker C: Correct. [00:11:08] Speaker G: So unless we're willing to try and make a trip, we ain't beating no one's ass. [00:11:16] Speaker B: Hold on. Is Garm big enough, you think, to have his own kids? Blood, like looks so lucky like us kind of kids. [00:11:26] Speaker G: Garm's a wolf. I mean, technically, that's a weird thing to think about because he's technically half like actual person. [00:11:36] Speaker B: Is it the bottom half or. Sorry, I got distracted. We'll discuss wolf centaurs later. But for now, do we think we're going to just talk to Garm or maybe we should try and. Andre, you had any luck yet? [00:11:53] Speaker F: Sorry, I'll get to work on it. And Andre will take out his tools and begin to work to try to get what he can out of this phone. [00:12:00] Speaker A: Okay. What all you trying, like, what kind of information are you trying to get with your technology ranks? I really don't think you need to roll. [00:12:09] Speaker F: Well, mostly I was. I was going to start off by trying to get contact list so that way I could see like maybe more names that we could work with and then GPS data so we can figure out where exactly they were. [00:12:20] Speaker A: Okay. Andre, darling. Yes. You have an 18 in technology. There is no point. I'm double 20 with my tools. Yeah, thanks. Yeah, you. You even have skill mastery. I'm not gonna make you roll. You. You just get things, okay. What you can. So here's what you get. There are contacts. They are. They all have weird names. As far as you it. To the best of your knowledge, probably almost none of these names are like the real names. They are stand ins just in case something happened to this phone. You do know that this phone is not divine in nature. This is a mortal cell phone. Which might be part of why they did what they could to protect the identities of the people whose numbers they had. In terms of gps, you can find the. [00:13:32] Speaker C: You can. [00:13:32] Speaker A: You can get pretty close. Close? With just like recent pings, you can pull that off of the phone. But the. The real kicker is actually the metadata on the video itself. And it. It's a very specific location. It is a. It looks like a house that's kind of sort of in the middle of nowhere in a heavily wooded area about an hour away. [00:14:07] Speaker F: Well, actually, close by. [00:14:11] Speaker B: Wait, what do you mean close by? Like Kentucky or Kansas? [00:14:15] Speaker F: Like with this phone? Apparently all the shit went down about an hour away. [00:14:22] Speaker B: Oh, shit. Oh, fuck. All right, I guess we should probably gather some supplies and get out that way. [00:14:29] Speaker G: Let's see if Damon has a car [00:14:31] Speaker A: for us or something, considering that he is sitting at the table while you guys are talking. [00:14:36] Speaker B: Damon, do you have a car for us or something? [00:14:41] Speaker A: You can take one of the vans, I suppose. Just try to bring this one back in one piece. [00:14:48] Speaker F: I mean, they got me now. It's gonna be in one piece. [00:14:51] Speaker C: Do we have an hour? [00:14:54] Speaker F: If the thing's already come and gone, then I. I think an hour's not really an issue. [00:15:01] Speaker E: It's not like they're scrubbing the location. [00:15:03] Speaker C: It actually might be way worse. [00:15:06] Speaker B: I figure sooner we get there, the better. But also. Hold on. Froze his brow and then looks over at a Mr. B. Do you think. Do you think this is a trap? [00:15:19] Speaker E: In our line of war, anything could be a trap. But it's also a lead right now, so I might not really have a choice on the matter. [00:15:30] Speaker C: Oliver, who do you think was in your vision? [00:15:32] Speaker E: I saw Lyra, the one who brought the phone. And then about three other psions. I didn't recognize them then. Their hearts had been torn out. Or punctured. More likely torn out because wolves. [00:15:46] Speaker C: Well, and no one else. [00:15:48] Speaker E: I saw a figure with a cloak and a cane and two wolves with him. [00:15:51] Speaker A: Remember correctly, you did not see the figure in your vision that was in the video. [00:15:55] Speaker E: Oh, right. My bad. [00:15:56] Speaker C: Okay. Who do you think that's going to be? [00:16:02] Speaker B: Frank Gormson? [00:16:04] Speaker E: No, I think odds are it could be Loki. But at the same time, I don't know why he'd bother hiding his face. Actually, no, it might not be Loki at all, because we've seen that figure before, and that was before Loki came back. [00:16:20] Speaker B: Oh, okay. [00:16:21] Speaker C: You have? [00:16:23] Speaker E: Yeah. When we were doing the labor for the loa. [00:16:27] Speaker G: That's where they could have been the entire time. [00:16:31] Speaker A: Stefan. You noticed as all of this conversation was happening Natine kind of got up and slipped away for a little while. And she comes back and tucks a set of keys into your hand. [00:16:49] Speaker G: Frank, you. I believe we can get going soon. [00:16:55] Speaker A: You should go now. They may already be dead, but that doesn't mean that there isn't stuff there to find if you get there fast enough. [00:17:02] Speaker G: Of course. [00:17:04] Speaker A: Be safe. [00:17:05] Speaker G: I'll try. We'll find out how that goes. All right, everyone in the car. [00:17:12] Speaker B: You got it? [00:17:14] Speaker A: Clint goes walking by her. I think. Blythe, you catch this? Mellie kind of sits there, and she looks like she is actively fighting not to do something. And then she kind of like crumbles and gives in and pinches his ass as he walks by, even though she knows it's a highly inappropriate moment for it. [00:17:32] Speaker C: I love Mellie. [00:17:34] Speaker B: Careful. [00:17:35] Speaker A: And when he looks back, she just sort of. Finger waves. Come back soon. [00:17:39] Speaker B: Oh, I'll be real back real quick. Don't go to. [00:17:43] Speaker A: Yeah, you will. And you guys are able to pile into the van. Oliver, are you going to reach out? Do you have a way to reach out to Brahm? Because he was off hunting? [00:18:07] Speaker E: I do not have anything particularly telepathic to reach out to him, but I could put my fingers in my mouth and blow a real loud whistle. [00:18:17] Speaker A: Well, I suppose I could see if he passes his perception check to hear you. It would help if I were looking at the right screen. Hello, Brahm. This is not his best stat. [00:18:37] Speaker E: Oh, boy. [00:18:38] Speaker A: He does not hear you. You wait for a couple of minutes and he does not show up. He is probably in some far flung space. Maybe not even on the far. Maybe not even on the farm's lands anymore. [00:18:52] Speaker E: That dragon. Give me a second as I pull out the. The Toma stories. [00:18:59] Speaker B: Oh, you're gonna read them a bedtime story from this far away? I think we gotta go, buddy. [00:19:04] Speaker E: No, I'm trying to jury rig a spell. [00:19:09] Speaker B: Oh, okay. [00:19:10] Speaker A: Just FYI, it takes time to do stuff like this. Like, this is, like, at minimum, several rounds a ritual. [00:19:18] Speaker E: This is a power stunt. [00:19:20] Speaker A: Okay, cool. I. I'm not. We don't have to figure out specifics. Just spend your hero point. Yeah, you have enough stuff to proc off of that. And it only has to last for one round. After a moment, Oliver, you cast your awareness out using your coat as a focus because it is tied to the draconic nature of your companion. And when your mind touches his. You've never done this before. You kind of have a vague idea of how it would work. You've thought about it. Because he can fly now. He tends to just kind of go off and do his own thing a lot. Um, you've. You've thought about how this would work from, like, a mechanical perspective, and you can tell that it definitely worked. Because when your minds meld, it is not alien in a bad way, but alien in, like, an intensely overwhelming way. This is like trying to mold how your mind works to be able to kind of operate in the same way that his does. And for a moment, you're. You're kind of a little. What's the word? Almost a little dizzy for a few minutes. And then you hear that. That kind of rumbling kind of late teenage voice in your head. This is new. [00:20:59] Speaker E: Yeah, I had to improvise. We're leaving. [00:21:03] Speaker A: Okay, I'm eating. [00:21:06] Speaker E: Well, we're leaving right now. [00:21:07] Speaker A: Okay. [00:21:08] Speaker E: Are you going to come? [00:21:09] Speaker A: Are you going to ask me to? Or are you just going to tell me what's happening and then expect that I'm going to fall in line? [00:21:21] Speaker E: We've received a message to deal with all the wolves. [00:21:25] Speaker A: Don't need the details. Are you going to ask me to come? [00:21:29] Speaker E: I am meant to watch over you, so I would appreciate it if you did. [00:21:33] Speaker A: That isn't exactly the deal you made, but I will come if you will ask politely. [00:21:40] Speaker E: Brom, would you please come? You can bring your food if you want. [00:21:45] Speaker A: Yes. What direction are you going in? [00:21:47] Speaker E: We're heading out the farm, the usual way. [00:21:49] Speaker A: For reference, you're leaving the farm and then headed east. [00:21:54] Speaker E: Okay, great. Which would be east. [00:21:56] Speaker A: Okay, I will follow you. [00:21:58] Speaker E: Great. See you soon. [00:22:00] Speaker A: And then the connection kind of cuts off pretty abruptly and you have a moment of, like, ear head splitting tinnitus. [00:22:10] Speaker E: Yeah, bro, Just rub my eyes with thumb and forefinger and look even more tired than I was just a second ago. Right. He'll meet us along the way. [00:22:20] Speaker B: We got an hour. You want to take a nap on the ride? [00:22:23] Speaker E: No, I'll be fine. [00:22:24] Speaker G: Well, we're going to figure out how fast this van can go. [00:22:29] Speaker B: We'll start it up and let's get going then. [00:22:32] Speaker G: All righty. [00:22:33] Speaker D: Stefan will start the van. [00:22:36] Speaker E: Are we already in the van? [00:22:38] Speaker A: Yes. The assumption was that you were climbing into the van as all of that was happening. [00:22:43] Speaker E: Then I just like to make a note that Oliver would have said goodbye to Asrobe first, too. [00:22:49] Speaker A: Yeah, she. She was pretty. She. She was brief and told you. Told you to come back soon, but she. She was not trying to keep you. Okay. Stefan. [00:23:04] Speaker D: Yes. [00:23:06] Speaker A: When you say we're gonna see how fast this van goes, is this is. This. I'm gonna push the out of this vehicle and hope that I don't crash. [00:23:18] Speaker D: Yes. [00:23:20] Speaker A: Excellent. I would like a vehicles check, please. [00:23:23] Speaker C: Damon's driving. Not David's driving. [00:23:26] Speaker A: Stefan is driving. [00:23:27] Speaker E: He was giving the key. [00:23:29] Speaker A: Okay, that's a 16. [00:23:32] Speaker D: I have two hero points. It might be a good idea. Yeah, sure. 21. That's better. [00:23:42] Speaker B: With a hero point. That adds more to it. [00:23:44] Speaker A: No, it doesn't because he rolled a 13. Okay, so it's a. It's a 21. 21's fine. 21 is good. Stefan, you kind of have to take your time getting off of the farm itself. Mostly because the. Even with your perception, the magical protections on this place kind of screw with your like senses, you know what I mean? But once you hit the highway, all bets are off. It is like a pedal of the metal just peeling as fast as this rather large van that does in fact seem seat everybody. Even Lucky is is. Is in the van. He is probably curled up on like the back, back most seat with his head in Blythe's lap. Because this is one of those vans that has like three, like three row seats in the back, you know, and you are able to drive for a fair bit. I have a question, Oliver. [00:24:51] Speaker E: Yes. [00:24:52] Speaker A: Do you have any of the in. In. In the new system set up, do you have any of the like warp luck stuff? Yes. Okay. I'm going to tell you that with the speed that Stefan is going, you are almost assuredly going to get pulled over by a mortal authority at some point if you don't do something to intervene. [00:25:18] Speaker E: Just mentally sigh over, pull out the book again and weave a little bit of bona fortuna to spend a luck point to give us some favor in this. [00:25:30] Speaker A: Okay. Is there a role for that? Or you just do it? [00:25:33] Speaker E: I just spend a luck point. [00:25:35] Speaker A: Okay. Stefan, you are tearing down this highway and you see a speed trap up ahead and you're like, as fast as I can make this go. I don't know that I can make this fast enough to outrun a police cruiser. And then as if like the heavens had opened up and the gods were smiling on you for just a moment on this two lane highway. You hear the sound of an approaching engine from behind you. And it is distinctly like, what do you call it? Like a. Like a sports car. And it is approaching rapidly and it flies up behind you and then at the last second weaves into across the double yellow into the opposing lane, passes you and then back into your lane and keeps going. And you watch as the copy that it passes, your perception's high enough, you can see him jump. And the coffee that is in his hand, like, spill over his hand and arm and into his lap. And his lips are moving pretty rapidly. He doesn't look pleased. And then his lights come on and he pulls out and follows the other car. Doesn't seem to take much notice of you. [00:27:06] Speaker G: Well, some people don't respect road laws these days. [00:27:10] Speaker E: Yeah, lucky us. [00:27:15] Speaker A: Under an hour, probably closer to 40 to 45 minutes, you guys pull off of the highway and down onto, like, state roads into thickly wooded areas. At this point, Andre kind of has to push Stefan to slow down a little bit because he's got a. He's. He's got to map out how to get there, how to get to this specific house, because there's. There's just trees everywhere. And the maps make it clear that you're probably unlikely to see, unlikely to know where to. To turn without having a very explicit idea when you get there. When you get to the. The turn that Andre talks, that Audrey points you to the house from Oliver's vision sits back from the road. It's half hidden by woods. You can kind of tell, especially Stefan. With your history as a firefighter, you can tell that in the past, it. It probably, like, looked forgettable by design. You could see the remnants of old siding. There's a gravel pull off the remnants of a few security lights, specifically, nothing that would look eye catching. Now it's a blackened shell of what it used to be. The windows are blown out. The roof is partially caved in. The front door hangs open, warped by heat and clawed nearly in half. The fire is mostly dead, but smoke still creeps out from the bones of the place. The air smells like wet ash, burned insulation, old blood, and meat. [00:29:09] Speaker G: All right, well, everyone be ready in case this is a trap. [00:29:15] Speaker B: Good idea. [00:29:17] Speaker E: Noted. [00:29:18] Speaker B: Yeah. All right, Ian, you mind taking a look around, seeing if you can spot anyone around us while we investigate? [00:29:28] Speaker A: Darling, Ian is not currently with you. [00:29:30] Speaker E: Oh. [00:29:31] Speaker B: Ian took a. Clint touches his rings and looks around sadly. [00:29:38] Speaker E: Just like to ask Braum to do that instead. [00:29:41] Speaker A: He. He did say he would be back. [00:29:44] Speaker B: You can try asking Braum to do that. Ian will come back soon, but he looks to the sky. Might take him a minute. He's doing important business. [00:29:54] Speaker A: Speaking of Brahm, shortly after you guys step out of the car and are looking up at this house, there is a heavy thud and the crunch of gravel behind you. And if anybody looks over their shoulder, Brom has landed. [00:30:12] Speaker E: Good job. Keeping up. [00:30:14] Speaker A: He just sort of nods a little. [00:30:18] Speaker E: Do you think you can help out and keep a look over the skies to make sure nothing's creeping up on us? [00:30:24] Speaker A: He looks up and kind of looks thoughtful for a moment, then nods and then takes off again. [00:30:33] Speaker E: Thank you. Right. So where do we start? [00:30:37] Speaker B: I was going to start looking around for folks. You know, the. The dead kind. [00:30:45] Speaker E: All right, good idea. I'll see if I can spot any magic. [00:30:50] Speaker C: Lucky, do you think you can spot Sniff for magic? [00:30:53] Speaker A: I. Yeah, I could try. You are going to have to roll for him. [00:31:01] Speaker C: Yeah, I realized I don't think I updated his sheet to have a button for. [00:31:06] Speaker A: Should just be his perception. [00:31:09] Speaker C: Oh. Then we're good. 32. Okay. [00:31:13] Speaker A: No, that's awful. How. How could that. How could that possibly tell you anything? [00:31:19] Speaker C: Mad if Lucky has better rolls than I do. [00:31:21] Speaker A: I mean, he already does, babe. [00:31:23] Speaker E: I don't think I can help much, but I'll activate unlit I and take a look around as well. [00:31:28] Speaker C: Do it all over. [00:31:29] Speaker A: Okay. You. You have him looking for magic? [00:31:34] Speaker C: That is anything but mostly magic. Or traces of it. [00:31:40] Speaker A: Question. Are you guys gonna go into the house or are we sticking strictly to outside? I need to know what you're what and where you are searching. [00:31:49] Speaker C: Unless anyone stops me. Sorry. [00:31:52] Speaker A: Go. [00:31:52] Speaker E: I was gonna say, I think it would be a better idea to go into the house together in case there's anything waiting for us in there. So stick to the outside for now. [00:32:01] Speaker G: If I may suggest, we should also find that woman's body. It did not have its heart eaten yet. [00:32:09] Speaker E: Yeah, she was out back. [00:32:12] Speaker B: Yeah, we should look for that. [00:32:13] Speaker C: Why don't we spread out and someone can yell if they're being attacked. [00:32:17] Speaker B: Yeah, it seems like a good idea. [00:32:19] Speaker F: Yep. [00:32:20] Speaker G: Alrighty. [00:32:21] Speaker A: How are people splitting up? Who's doing what? I'm assuming Lucky and Blythe are staying at the house because Lucky is looking for magic. [00:32:31] Speaker B: I mean, I'm not too good at tracking folks down, so I'm. I'm good to help out whoever's smart and capable. [00:32:37] Speaker E: I saw where Lyra dragged her body, so. Or at least where she died. So I. I will go see if I can find her there. [00:32:45] Speaker A: Okay, so we've got Oliver going after Lyra's body. Lithe. And Lucky staying at the house. Clint, who are you going with? [00:32:53] Speaker B: Well, if he's going to go talk to a body, I can't help but come along. [00:32:57] Speaker A: Okay. There are bodies inside too. And it is worth knowing that, noting that, you know, Lyra wouldn't be with her body because she's been carried to the underworld. [00:33:05] Speaker B: Yeah, well, that's a good point. Can we have someone go with Mr. B? I. I want to keep him safe, but I also want to talk to him. [00:33:15] Speaker A: To the. [00:33:15] Speaker B: To the departed. [00:33:16] Speaker E: Definite. With me. [00:33:18] Speaker G: Alrighty. [00:33:20] Speaker F: I'll go and see if I can find where that individual with the cane was. Maybe they left something behind. [00:33:26] Speaker B: Sounds good. Sounds like it's me and you, Blythe. [00:33:29] Speaker C: All right. [00:33:32] Speaker A: All right, stick gang. [00:33:37] Speaker C: Lucky. [00:33:39] Speaker A: So we're gonna do this in two batches. So Oliver and Stefan will have to wait for a moment. Same with Andre. Lucky. Lucky has sniffed around the outside of the house, and he does this kind of like. He does this thing where he starts at, like, the outer perimeter of, like, the clearing of trees that this house sits in, sniffs around, walks in. Walks in this really big circle and then does, like, a slightly tighter circle and a tighter circle and a tidal circle, tighter circle. And then at one point, he gets, I want to say, 10 to 15ft away, like, shy of the front door, and he stops. And there is a. He makes this kind of, like, doggy, like, not quite a whimper, not quite a growl, kind of that error. That. That. That curious sound. And his head kind of tilts, and he, like, buries his face in, like, the leaves and the grass on the ground. Sniffs at it some more. Kind of walks in this little tight circle around this one specific spot, and then he sits and he looks at you, and he is clearly alerting to having found something. There was a. Look, there was a ward here. [00:35:08] Speaker C: Huh. Can I get. [00:35:10] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:35:11] Speaker C: Is it still there or is it broken? [00:35:13] Speaker A: It. It's strange. I don't. It's like. Doesn't smell as strong as it should. Smells like it went bad. Like that time that you left those oranges in the fridge for too long. [00:35:33] Speaker C: Like it rotted. [00:35:35] Speaker A: Kinda does. God, I don't want to roll for [00:35:38] Speaker C: this, but can I roll expertise Magic. Does magic rot? [00:35:43] Speaker A: You can absolutely roll expertise. Magic. [00:35:46] Speaker C: I hate it here. [00:35:47] Speaker A: I'm gonna roll a hero. I'm gonna roll. Reroll that bend a hero point. Yeah, there you go. Very good. Natural 20bl. Okay, so typically, no, magic doesn't rot. Sometimes it loses potency and it fades over time. But you have never seen anything where magic seemed to, like, shrivel up. You've never seen magic that shrivels up or goes bad like it is a living thing, like a plant or whatever. That being said, there are different types of magic and different ways of influencing magic or influencing the world that could Potentially. What do you call it present in such a way? Nothing you particularly know. But if. If there is such a thing, it is probably old magic. You're pretty up to date on the stuff that most. Most scions and gods use these days. This isn't something you've heard about, which means it is probably pretty old and esoteric. Also probably has ties to some sort of like, natural magical world because it wasn't just brute force broken. It was, you know, manipulated in a way that made it go bad or made it. Made it rot or go bad. Like it is a. It like a. There is a word that I'm looking for. [00:37:39] Speaker C: It's giving like it aged. Like it was put in a little pocket time bubble to age so it would go bad. That's what my brain is a little bit more like. Or. [00:37:48] Speaker A: Or like a catalyst was present to it to make it break down quickly. [00:37:53] Speaker C: That's not great. [00:37:54] Speaker A: But your guess, your. Your very well educated guess is that this is probably old and esoteric and not something that you would commonly find among gods or scions. [00:38:09] Speaker C: Blythe will turn to Clint. This is really old magic in a [00:38:16] Speaker H: way that [00:38:19] Speaker C: I'm actually kind of concerned about what happened or about what we might run into inside. [00:38:25] Speaker B: How is it old magic if it only happened an hour ago? [00:38:28] Speaker C: What a great question. [00:38:30] Speaker B: Oh, you don't have an answer? Oh, no. All right, stick close to me. I'll see if we see anything on the inside there. [00:38:38] Speaker C: Well, like, raises an eyebrow at him. [00:38:41] Speaker B: You know, I don't want you to get too wandered off and hurt. [00:38:44] Speaker C: All right, big boy. [00:38:46] Speaker A: There is a. There is a sound from Lucky that borders on laughter. [00:38:50] Speaker B: You either, little guy. Let's stick together. Be friendly. [00:38:54] Speaker A: That gets a vaguely offended huff being called little. All right, we are going to pop over to Andre. Andre, what are you doing? [00:39:10] Speaker F: I am going to be trying to just take a look around the area and, like, see if I can see where the caned individual was. Like, using my memory, just being like, okay, so that was that. That was over there from what we saw. Yeah. Yes, I do, actually. [00:39:28] Speaker A: Okay. I'm not gonna make you roll. You can pretty easily figure out where it. Where they were. They were walking. That's easy enough. [00:39:39] Speaker F: Okay. And he is going to look for the spot where the cane figure was and just either, like, look for tracks or, like, look for signs of them using some method to teleport anymore. Anything to get more information about this individual. [00:39:56] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. Okay. Let me look at your skills, see what you might have for this. [00:40:05] Speaker F: Also, the Entire time he's doing it, he's just sort of like, fiddling with the orb, like, almost like it's a fidget toy, but is also just like pressing buttons and twisting it and see, and who knows what could happen? [00:40:16] Speaker A: Okay, roll me an investigation check, please. [00:40:24] Speaker F: Okay, I'm going to. You use a hero point to get five extra ranks to investigation. [00:40:32] Speaker A: Oh, boy. Beginner's luck, huh? You have 10 ranks already. Boo. [00:40:43] Speaker E: 32. [00:40:44] Speaker A: Jesus Christ. Okay, so there isn't a lot to find. So I feel a little bit bad that you spent a hero point on it, but. But what you do find one with 32. Looking around, you are 90% sure it's not a cane. It's a staff. It is too tapered at the end to be a cane, because most canes are not. You know what I mean? They're. They're pretty. Like, the width is pretty consistent throughout because they are meant to bear weight in that way. Yes, this looks like a staff. It also swings out further from the footsteps than a cane typically would. You can tell that whoever it was was accompanied by not just two wolves, which is what you guys saw in the video, but it looks like there were a large number of them in particular. The most alarming is that the wolf prints, the paw prints are kind of different sizes. Some are about as large, as. Long as a grown man's feet. Some are two to three times larger than that. One in particular is massive. Like, probably as big as the, like, wheels on a big rig. [00:42:25] Speaker F: Interesting. [00:42:27] Speaker A: Excuse me. And there are very. It. You almost miss it as you were. Because you become so fixated on the paw prints. There is hints of frost clinging to some of the blades of grass, despite the fact that it is quite warm out and it shouldn't. Shouldn't have lasted more than a few seconds, let alone as long as it's been. [00:42:58] Speaker F: Question. [00:42:59] Speaker A: Yes. [00:43:00] Speaker F: Would I know if, like, the Bifrost leave leaves actual frost behind or is that just like a. Something from its name? Like if they were utilizing Bifrost to get around or whatever you are. [00:43:12] Speaker A: You're not positive, but you're pretty sure that the Bifrost doesn't leave actual frost behind. [00:43:19] Speaker F: Okay, I'll just, like, look at. Look at the grass and just see if, like, the. It's just like, covered in the frost or if it's like the frost is so deep inside that it's killed the grass. [00:43:32] Speaker A: No, in fact, it explicitly has not killed the grass. It is like it is sitting on the outside and is just lingering there. [00:43:42] Speaker G: Interesting. [00:43:42] Speaker F: And he Will just be like taking pictures of it on his phone, just getting basically bits like images of the information he's found. [00:43:52] Speaker A: Okay, we're gonna hop over to Oliver and Andre or not Oliver. Oliver and Andre. Oliver and Stefan. Hi, guys. Hello. Hello. Oliver. You have eidetic. Yeah. [00:44:09] Speaker E: Yes. [00:44:10] Speaker A: Okay. You have eidetic. And Stefan has the perception. [00:44:15] Speaker E: The giga nose. [00:44:16] Speaker A: Yeah, the perception from hell. I'm not gonna make you guys roll to find the body. That is. Is turns out pretty fucking easy. Almost 50 yards behind the house, deep enough into the woods that she was clearly running when she fell, is a body. Everybody heard the description of Lyra in the last session, so I'm not going to go fully over it save that she is laying on her side with one arm extended kind of up above her head. Her fingers partially curled into the dirt and the. And the forest floor debris, like she might have. And there are like drag marks behind her, like she may have been trying to pull herself through the underbrush after she fell. Her chest is not ripped open, but her throat is. And from the sheer amount of blood all around her, it is obvious that she bled out here on the forest floor. [00:45:28] Speaker E: I would like to activate unlit eye to just peer over her for any. Any magic. [00:45:34] Speaker A: Okay. I don't think you have to roll anything for that. [00:45:38] Speaker E: No, I just see the magic. [00:45:42] Speaker A: There is no magic. Not just no magic, but like a complete and distinct lack of magic. There are no relics that you can see. And it doesn't look like she was hit by any kind of magic. It looks like what killed her was purely. I. I hesitate to say mundane because of like what they were fighting, but you know what I mean, like, it's just mundane damage. [00:46:10] Speaker E: Well, that was my next question about the relics as I'll like crouch down and kind of peer over. Her birthrights are gone. [00:46:19] Speaker A: Oh, she is not wearing the denim jacket, by the way. You guys didn't see her ghost. But for those. For those watching at home, she is not wearing the denim jacket, which is in fact a relic. [00:46:31] Speaker G: It's weird that if they didn't and find her, she's missing her birthrights. [00:46:37] Speaker E: It is maybe, I don't know, she was caught off guard and have them on her. Or somehow her spirit took them with her when she delivered that message. [00:46:50] Speaker G: Or they took them from her before she ran. [00:46:53] Speaker E: Also a possibility. Either way, let's take her back to the others. She deserves a proper burial. [00:47:03] Speaker G: Yeah, I don't think she should be buried here. [00:47:06] Speaker F: No. [00:47:07] Speaker D: Stefan will carefully pick them up. Slightly hesitant to do it. [00:47:12] Speaker A: Okay. She is remarkably light with the lack of blood. Back to Blythe, Clint and Lucky. What are you guys doing? You guys gonna go inside? Are you sticking the outside? [00:47:29] Speaker C: I'd like to head in. [00:47:30] Speaker B: Yeah. Let's go. Head on inside then. [00:47:33] Speaker A: Okay. Let's see inside of the safe house in the. It's kind of an open floor plan, at least this. This floor is. As part of this floor, there are four bodies. Two men and two women from the looks of it. Their bodies are scattered through the house, through the main part of the house, where it looks like they may have made their last stand. When you walk in the front door, one you kind of have to step over, there is one that is laying halfway through a hallway. Like, they are almost in, like, a doorway. Their legs are in the hallway, and their body is inside of what looks like a bedroom. One is collapsed against a broken kitchen counter, and one lays on top of a strange, like, burnt out, like, a spot on the floor that seems to have burned weird. Which Lucky goes to, like, immediately and sniffs around. Magic. All of the bodies are bloody, unrecognizable messes. Could you both make me medicine checks, assuming that you have ranks in it? If you do not have ranks, I don't think you can make it unless you have a thing that allows you to roll untrained treatment. I'm sorry. Not medicine. Treatment. [00:49:25] Speaker C: I don't think I have treatment. [00:49:26] Speaker A: Clint, do you have treatment? Clint Gavin. [00:49:29] Speaker C: Where'd he go? [00:49:30] Speaker A: Oh, I don't know. Did he disappear? [00:49:33] Speaker D: Grady has push to talk on. [00:49:36] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Do you. Do you hear me now? [00:49:39] Speaker A: Yes, we hear you. [00:49:40] Speaker B: Thank you. Sorry. Unfortunately, I do not have medicine. I do have nothing in treatment as well, so I've got nothing to roll. [00:49:50] Speaker A: Okay. Give him a dog treatment. You can't give the dog treatment mid. Mid session. Okay. Yeah. They're bloody, unrecognizable messes, specifically their torsos. It's just gore and viscera with what [00:50:13] Speaker C: I know of, like, demigods and just being a scion. Do I recognize the house at all? Like, the location or anything? [00:50:20] Speaker A: No. Make an insight check. [00:50:25] Speaker C: 21. [00:50:27] Speaker A: So you don't know this specific house, but you know, houses like it. This place does not have a whole lot of personality, but there is a fair bit of, like, latent magic. And it is. It was clearly chosen because it was kind of forgettable and it was a place that you could look at and never think about again. This was some sort of a safe house. You're 90% sure there's almost nothing personal here that you can see. Like the fire couldn't have claimed absolutely any everything. There would have been something left behind. But there's no pictures what furniture there is. Looks like it probably came out of like an Ikea or some other big box store. [00:51:14] Speaker C: Unlucky is only alerting to the spot on the floor. There's nothing on the dead scions. [00:51:21] Speaker A: No, there's nothing on the dead science. But the. But Lucky is circling that spot on the floor and has not moved from it since yet. [00:51:29] Speaker C: I guess I'll check that out next. [00:51:33] Speaker A: You have magic perceptions. [00:51:38] Speaker C: I have the expertise magic, but Lucky has the perception. [00:51:41] Speaker A: Okay, roll expertise magic for me. Actually. This symbol that Lucky is alerting to. [00:51:50] Speaker D: Okay. [00:51:50] Speaker A: The symbol that Lucky is alerting to. You did. The symbol that Lucky is alerting to is laying on top, or there is a body laying on top of it. So you can't see the full symbol. So the fact that you rolled poorly was, you know, not hugely surprising. You can't see the whole thing. [00:52:06] Speaker C: Clint, can you text the rest of the boys? [00:52:09] Speaker B: Yeah, of course. What do you want me to tell them? [00:52:11] Speaker C: That we have bodies? [00:52:13] Speaker B: Oh, well, yeah, I think they knew that, but okay. Clint will send out a group text to the team letting them know that we have located the four bodies. And while this is going on, Clint's also looking around to see are they also still standing here or are they gone? [00:52:34] Speaker A: There is no. There are no ghosts here. [00:52:37] Speaker B: Holy shit. Ain't no ghosts here. You'd think with a traumatic event like this, there'd be be something lingering, but I guess Lyra did what she could. Clint will just hunker down and do his investigations as best he can with his. His death senses. A little post cognition. [00:52:58] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm thinking about a thing. Hold on. [00:53:01] Speaker B: Oh, we're thinking. [00:53:02] Speaker C: I guess it must kind of sense. [00:53:04] Speaker A: First of all, Clint, take a hero point as you try to reach out into that kind of liminal, in between space. Why did you roll cooking? [00:53:21] Speaker B: I misclicked. I'm so sorry. [00:53:24] Speaker A: It's just like, what is. [00:53:25] Speaker B: I'm so sorry. My hero points are right next to my cooking. [00:53:32] Speaker F: Very quickly [00:53:36] Speaker A: I was like, I know. I know it sounded. I know I said it smells like meat, but I didn't think that you would want to eat it. As you try to reach out into that liminal space where the dead usually linger, you know that you can, in most instances, grab a hold hold of like the tether between a body and its spirit, if it hasn't been too long. And Kind of pull the spirit back to be able to, like, summon it and speak to it. And as you try to do that, there is nothing. [00:54:14] Speaker B: Clint starts looking very worried and pulls his hat off to wipe the sweat from his brow. After all the effort, I imagine it's pretty warm in here, too, anyways. [00:54:24] Speaker A: It is. It is warm outside and even warmer inside because of the remnants of the fire. [00:54:29] Speaker B: Right. I'm pulling up nothing. I can't. They're not even able to be yoinked. You know, I can't get them over here. I don't. That's not normal. [00:54:41] Speaker C: Like, there's no ghost whatsoever. [00:54:45] Speaker B: Oh, there. There's probably a ghost, but not that I can pull from them. They might have already been moved on, you know, like when. When Ian took Lyra away. It's not. I can't easily reach out to Lyra comfortably, but normally you can at least. [00:55:01] Speaker A: Normally you can at least try. It just requires a lot of effort. But this is like. This is like. There is nothing to pull on. [00:55:08] Speaker B: Yeah, there's just nothing to yoink. There's. There's no trail. There's no, like, lingering sense of them here. [00:55:15] Speaker A: You. [00:55:15] Speaker C: You've talked to the spirits of the dead who aren't scions, right? [00:55:21] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, that's. Most of them. [00:55:23] Speaker C: Really weird. [00:55:24] Speaker A: I. [00:55:25] Speaker C: It makes sense. There's no birthrights. They. If the wolves are forcing people to change before they have their visitations, they wouldn't have anything. [00:55:36] Speaker A: It is worth noting. I will just give this to Blythe because Blythe is reasonably good at tracking these things. The text message that you guys got from. From Lyra's phone was, we found one. Which implies that there was more than one scion here who had already had their visitations and should have already had their relics. Great. [00:55:56] Speaker C: Hate that. Love that. Oh. [00:56:00] Speaker B: So where are their things? [00:56:02] Speaker C: What a great question. [00:56:04] Speaker B: Do you see any car keys around here? I'd expect to see. I mean, was there even a car out front? [00:56:09] Speaker C: Was there. [00:56:10] Speaker A: Not directly in front of the house? No, but there is a little, like, one of those, like, one car, like, separated garages, but it's closed. [00:56:20] Speaker C: I want to move the body on the. Like, sigil on the ground, but it feels like a bad idea. [00:56:26] Speaker A: You are welcome to do that if you would like to. [00:56:28] Speaker C: I think I'm gonna. [00:56:31] Speaker B: Careful. [00:56:32] Speaker A: Okay. Clint, are you going to help? Blythe does not have a whole lot of strength. I'm just gonna throw that up. [00:56:39] Speaker C: Help me move this. [00:56:41] Speaker B: Are you sure? [00:56:42] Speaker A: Carefully. [00:56:42] Speaker B: Move the dead. It's. It's kind of bad luck they're on. [00:56:50] Speaker A: What? [00:56:51] Speaker B: Well, yeah, if you start moving them and they come back hoping to find whatever happened to them, they're gonna get real mad. Might get all poltergasty or something. [00:56:59] Speaker A: What? [00:57:01] Speaker C: There's a sigil. There's a sigil on the ground, and I'm trying to see it, but there's a body in the way. So I'd like to move the body. [00:57:08] Speaker A: Right. [00:57:08] Speaker B: It could go back to bite us, but. All right. Clintal. Reach on down as carefully as he can, looking over at Blithe while he does so. I'm doing this for you. So if it comes back and I get haunted, I'mma let you know. And. [00:57:26] Speaker C: Well, yeah, you're the one who can talk to ghosts. And also, let me be so clear, you just said there aren't any ghosts around to be mad at us. [00:57:33] Speaker B: Well, yeah, but what if he comes back and moving the body? [00:57:38] Speaker C: Then they'll have come back and you [00:57:39] Speaker A: can talk to them. [00:57:41] Speaker B: You know, that's. That's actually a good point. I. [00:57:44] Speaker C: Thank you. [00:57:45] Speaker B: We'll just have to be nice to him if he shows up, that's all. [00:57:48] Speaker A: Clint? [00:57:49] Speaker B: Yep. [00:57:50] Speaker A: Roll me a raw dexterity. [00:57:53] Speaker B: You got that? Is a 17. [00:57:56] Speaker A: Okay. Well, the good news is, is that the body is mostly in one piece, but it has been pretty, like, deformed and fucked up. So it is not easy to move. There are multiple times as you are, like, lifting it and trying to shift it around that you worry that pieces might start to fall off because there isn't much left of the core of the body itself. But eventually. Eventually you managed to shift it over. And you have deep concerns about whether or not you were gentle enough. You're not sure. [00:58:39] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm. I'm just gonna hang out over here for a second. You take a look at your sigil. I'm gonna make sure nothing's missing, make sure nothing's wrong. And Clint's doing his best. Like, even if the clothes are charred beyond recognition, if everything is broken and just charcoal, Clint's trying to move the blackened dust to go back near the body. Just keep it as close together as we can. [00:59:08] Speaker A: I love Clint. I love him so much. [00:59:11] Speaker C: Okay. Clyde. [00:59:14] Speaker A: Yeah, Hi. Yeah, me up. Make me an expertise. Magic roll, please. [00:59:21] Speaker C: What the. I'm petting Lucky. [00:59:25] Speaker B: Okay, now's not the time. We gotta focus on the investigation. [00:59:31] Speaker C: I. I'll take the hero point for Blucky. I hate it here. [00:59:36] Speaker A: That's a 21. That's actually pretty good. Is. I'm just rolling Bad that isn't all that different from normal. Okay. With a 21, what you realize is that this sigil is one that you have seen before. It is a. Like a protective or defensive sigil that is meant to mimic the effects of one of the first powers scions with the fire purview get, which is the immunity to fire. But there is. The floor that the symbol is on is cracked, and it looks like there is something that is pushing up from under the floor that has made the floor kind of crack and bend and split, which broke the sigil so that it didn't work. [01:00:37] Speaker C: Clever, but it's not going through the floor yet. [01:00:40] Speaker A: It looks like there's something under the floor, but you can't tell exactly what it is just at a glance. [01:00:47] Speaker C: Interesting. All right, I'll relay that to Clint. As you know, he's scraping what's left of this body back together. I don't have a really good read of anything beyond a fire protection spell. [01:01:04] Speaker B: Fire protection spell? [01:01:06] Speaker C: It got fucked up by whatever's under the floor. [01:01:10] Speaker B: Wait, you mean the fire came from below? [01:01:14] Speaker C: No, whatever went after these, one of them brought fire, obviously. And someone here knows enough to try to stop it. [01:01:31] Speaker B: Go ahead. [01:01:32] Speaker C: Whatever set the fire also, I guess. Well, it's possible. Okay, hold on. There is fire, and someone here knew enough to fight it with a spell. And I am assuming it's the aggressor who pushed the earth up under the floor. I don't know what's under here yet. I don't know that we should fuck with it too much, but it broke the sigil, so. [01:02:01] Speaker B: Yeah, that does kind of seem like something we might want to get Mr. B in here for. He's the whole educated on magic kind of thing. [01:02:11] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm not thrilled with the fact that the fire and the. The figure from the video isn't. I'm not thrilled with this. [01:02:23] Speaker B: I mean, I wouldn't expect you to be particularly thrilled. Maybe a little excited that we're doing something and hopefully for the right things, [01:02:30] Speaker C: but thrilled is Loki is a fire God. [01:02:35] Speaker B: He said what now? [01:02:37] Speaker C: I think one of Loki's domains is fire. I could be wrong. [01:02:40] Speaker A: Out of character. [01:02:41] Speaker C: I'm. [01:02:41] Speaker A: You don't have to roll for that. You are not wrong. Loki is a God of fire. But. [01:02:47] Speaker B: But that would mean. If I think we're less equipped to deal with Loki than we are. Garm, at the moment, that's not good. [01:02:56] Speaker C: I'm gonna text the group chat as I'm talking. Just relay what I've seen. [01:03:01] Speaker A: It is Worth noting that while all of this was going on, Stefan, Andre and Oliver all got the last text message, too. [01:03:08] Speaker B: Yeah, the finding of the bodies. [01:03:10] Speaker A: Yes, the finding of the bodies. And now you get a message. You get a pretty lengthy diatribe from Blythe, as you guys are all, I assume, headed back to the house or. Or have, like, wrapped up your investigations. [01:03:22] Speaker G: Yep. [01:03:23] Speaker E: Picture of the sigil read over it. This is why I want it all going together, but. Okay. [01:03:29] Speaker B: Very fair. [01:03:30] Speaker G: I don't think they loosened too well. [01:03:33] Speaker E: Let's just double time it so we can get there and see what we see. [01:03:36] Speaker B: Do we have any gloves or booty? Used to pass around so the folks don't get other people on. On their hands like I just did. [01:03:43] Speaker A: You do not. [01:03:44] Speaker B: Damn it. We never come prepared. [01:03:46] Speaker C: Well, maybe. Do you not have condoms in your pocket? [01:03:49] Speaker B: What are those? Oh, of course I do. But I don't keep them in my pocket because that could cause problems. You never put them in your wallet neither. You see, they could get worn down, thinned, or they pass the expiration date. You're in trouble when you need it. I just keep them in a box. Well, that'd be back at demons. Wait, why would. [01:04:08] Speaker E: What? [01:04:09] Speaker B: Hold on. What? Why did we need condoms? [01:04:12] Speaker A: Today we all find out that Clint's second dot of intelligence went entirely into the. The care and keeping of your. [01:04:21] Speaker C: Yeah, I was going to say makeshift gloves and booties, but I. You know what? [01:04:27] Speaker A: I. [01:04:28] Speaker C: It's fine. [01:04:29] Speaker B: Well, you bring up a good point. A person should always be. Be prepared. So I'll just see if I can't bring, like a box of six next time. [01:04:37] Speaker A: It's wild. [01:04:37] Speaker C: You just don't keep moving. [01:04:39] Speaker A: It is around this time that all three of the other boys walk into the front door and are greeted by the sight that I've already described. Except now Blythe and Clint get to see Stefan carrying the mangled body of Lyra. [01:05:02] Speaker E: She is missing her birthrights. [01:05:05] Speaker F: Of course she is. [01:05:06] Speaker B: You know, I couldn't even find a pair of car keys on these folks either. [01:05:11] Speaker C: No one here has a birthright. [01:05:14] Speaker F: Which means that the one with the staff has probably grabbed him. [01:05:19] Speaker E: Maybe. But thing is, Lyra got away and they didn't find her body. So they would have had to have somehow got them before killing them. At least for some. [01:05:30] Speaker F: Maybe one of these had a. A companion, like Lucky. Maybe they gave them to the companion they left. [01:05:38] Speaker C: Technically, Lucky is a birthright. [01:05:41] Speaker E: Maybe. But as far as relics are concerned, they're all gone. [01:05:46] Speaker G: No, sorry. Go ahead, Mr. B. [01:05:49] Speaker E: No, I was just saying that any other birthrights of a more living nature could be in the wind or who knows, if they were dead, we probably see them around here. [01:06:00] Speaker A: Do any of you have ranks in treatment? Or the ability to roll without having ranks? [01:06:05] Speaker F: Yes, I can roll without ranks. [01:06:08] Speaker E: As I'm talking. I will walk over to the other bodies and take a look at him. [01:06:12] Speaker F: And I will aid Mr. B. [01:06:14] Speaker A: Okay. If you would like to aid, I need you to roll first. Okay. [01:06:19] Speaker F: 21. [01:06:22] Speaker A: Oliver, go ahead and roll your treatment with a plus five. Sweet 20. Okay. Wow, that was really low. Roll on the die, my guy. [01:06:33] Speaker E: I know, right? But hey, it's plus 16. Okay, you know what? I got luck points. Let's do it again. [01:06:41] Speaker A: Jesus. [01:06:44] Speaker E: That is now a 25. [01:06:46] Speaker F: Okay, should it be a 31 with a plus 5? [01:06:50] Speaker E: No, because it wasn't below 10. [01:06:52] Speaker A: No, the plus 5 is from the teamwork. [01:06:54] Speaker F: Yeah, from teamwork. [01:06:55] Speaker E: Oh, it didn't. I put in the Plus 5, but it didn't process it. So, yeah, it's a 30. [01:07:03] Speaker A: At a glance, Oliver, you can tell that the reason why their bodies are so mangled and fucked up is because none of these bodies have hearts. This wasn't just a massacre. This was a feeding. Which tells you that all four of these bodies belong to scions who had either been forced to awaken when the attack happened, or were already awake because the wolves are not interested in hearts that are in unawakened scions. Or mortals. Gotcha. [01:07:45] Speaker E: I'd like to activate Unlit Eye to see if there's any other latent magic about other than the sigil. [01:07:51] Speaker A: I'm sorry, say that again? [01:07:53] Speaker E: I would like to activate Unlit Eye to see if there's any other magic about other than the sigil that was found earlier. [01:08:00] Speaker A: You could look at it. You're going to get the same information that Blythe did. It was a. It was a spell meant to mimic, effectively fire immunity. That ability from the fire purview. [01:08:10] Speaker E: Why anything other than that around the house? [01:08:12] Speaker A: Around the whole house, or just like [01:08:15] Speaker E: in the general area? Just doing a quick sweep. [01:08:17] Speaker A: You see the remnants of the. The remnants of the ward outside it. It really does look like it. Was it what a living thing might have looked like, had it, like, died and rotted? [01:08:37] Speaker E: And then now I'll turn my attention to that sigil. Does it look like it was recently made or has it been, like, always part of the house? Or at least it's been around for a long time. [01:08:46] Speaker A: The sigil in the middle of the Room. No, this was not only recently made. This was made in haste. This was someone doing. Not terribly unlike what you did with your power stunt. Huh? [01:09:00] Speaker E: They knew that they were being attacked and someone tried to stop a fire from occurring. But from the looks of it, they were ready for that and broke that down pretty quickly. This. This was. This was a blitzkrieg. They just came in, slaughtered eight and left. [01:09:21] Speaker B: What kind of person does that? [01:09:24] Speaker E: Not people. Wolves. But the federal had a handling that. [01:09:28] Speaker F: And it definitely wasn't Gwen then. Because she would have wanted them to suffer. [01:09:31] Speaker E: Yeah, we know the wolves want scion hearts. That's how they feed. I guess. So these, everyone here was at least awakened. [01:09:44] Speaker A: Stefan, you explicitly know that it isn't. It isn't generally how they feed. Like they can eat normal meat. They eat scion hearts because it is how they grow stronger. It allows them to absorb the power of the scions of the heart that they have eaten because it has divine ichor. [01:10:01] Speaker G: Well, they're not just feeding. They're trying to get stronger. [01:10:07] Speaker B: They're also. The message said that they found one. And as far as I can tell, these folks fought hard. You're saying that I found Lyra way out there. Where's the other one that they found? [01:10:25] Speaker G: Yeah, if they haven't been visited yet, [01:10:28] Speaker D: I will smell the air. [01:10:30] Speaker A: Okay. What are you looking for? [01:10:34] Speaker D: A scent leaving the house that you know isn't blood and dead body that I've already followed. Seeing if there was another person that may have ran or escaped, [01:10:49] Speaker A: if I remember correctly. Isn't that power explicitly to sense like divine beings, like scions and gods? [01:10:58] Speaker D: No, it has the ability to do so, but it also tracks. It's just a very, very strong sense of smell. [01:11:06] Speaker A: Roll me a. Roll me a perception check. You are going to be an initial negative 5 because of the fire and the smoke and the ash and all of that. [01:11:17] Speaker E: Before he does this, could I activate the Singing Stone to lend him some aid? AKA do teamwork. [01:11:24] Speaker A: Let me double check how that power works. This is a very. It's a very unusual thing because you don't have a particularly good perception. [01:11:35] Speaker E: Yeah, it's just like the singing Stone, the way I said activated. Does the teamwork action. [01:11:41] Speaker A: Sure. [01:11:43] Speaker E: Yay. [01:11:45] Speaker A: You have. Does he get a plus two or a plus five from you? [01:11:50] Speaker E: It is the. The. Or it is the advantage. So it would be plus five. [01:11:54] Speaker A: Okay. Plus five to your perception, Stefan. So you were just rolling flat, as it turns out. [01:12:00] Speaker D: Alrighty. [01:12:01] Speaker C: Would Lucky be able to. [01:12:03] Speaker A: To help? No, it's a 38 he doesn't need it. As it turns out. He's a. It's an eight there. Not. [01:12:12] Speaker E: You forgot the plus five. So it's. It's higher. [01:12:15] Speaker D: Well, it canceled out my smoke bonus five. [01:12:19] Speaker A: You gave him a plus five, so he's just rolling flat. [01:12:22] Speaker D: I might have more negatives because I get a minus one for every 100ft, but assuming I'm just tracking from this area outwards, it should be fine. [01:12:34] Speaker A: You can tell that. So you smell a number of beings that were here that definitely left. Obviously you smell a number of wolves. That's probably other than the scents left behind by the fire, like burning furniture and insulation and all that stuff, which, given your real life job, I don't have to describe to you. It's not pleasant. Aside from that and the smell of the wolves, you smell a couple of odd things. Well, one particularly odd thing and one that. That seems almost too mundane. One, there was a perfectly normal person here at some point. Recent semi recently, like within the last couple of hours. It's like you can smell like the sweat that comes from somebody being nervous and scared and anxious, but not. But. But there's no like scent of a pantheon that is clinging to it. The other thing that you smell, you smell old. Not old as in like dried out, but old. Rich, deep, wet earth. And the crisp smell of like that first frost at the beginning of winter. It's incredibly faint. You. It's. It's almost non existent. But your nose is so exceptionally sharp that you can make out the faint smell of frost and the scent of that kind of old, dark, moist earth. It's coming from below your feet. And I will just give this because you rolled so high on your perception, even though it was you were rolling for your nose. As you shift on your feet because you're still holding Lyra's body in your arms, the house creaks in such a way that you're training from your time as a mortal firefighter. You are 90% certain that this place has a basement or a crawl space under it. [01:15:00] Speaker G: Clint, come here. [01:15:02] Speaker B: Yeah, what do you got? [01:15:03] Speaker G: Could you please hold Lyra for me? [01:15:09] Speaker B: Yeah, I suppose. Shouldn't we find a place for her to rest? At least Clint will open his arms up. [01:15:18] Speaker G: Don't want to put her down until we find somewhere. Don't know if somebody's gonna come back and try and snag him. [01:15:27] Speaker B: Yeah, it is a concern, but having our hands open and ready in case that Garm feller comes back or whoever it was, we can be ready. But Yeah, I got Lyra. You do your thing. [01:15:40] Speaker G: Well, I smell human, not divine. And I smell wet earth and frost. But I also, [01:15:55] Speaker D: I will reach down and pull back a floorboard or at least trying to figure out where the entrance may be. [01:16:03] Speaker A: What is your strength at 10? Yeah. Okay, you guys watch as Steffan reaches down and slips his fingers under those split floorboards that were under the symbol where one is popped up just a little bit. And he wedges his fingertips under it and just gives like the most casual of yanks. And the whole floorboard comes up and you realize that the sub flooring and everything here is broken and split and pieces of it fall away into a dark basement below. But you also notice that there is some sort of like root or particularly thick, almost bark covered vine that somehow grew up in a long the ceiling of the basement. And that's what was pushing up on the. On the floor and caused the boards to bow and crack so that the symbol didn't hold. [01:17:06] Speaker C: So our aggressor is able to rot things quickly and has some sort of earth or like plant purview. [01:17:17] Speaker G: And Frost. [01:17:19] Speaker C: Frost. [01:17:21] Speaker G: I can smell the nipple. Winter, where that figure was. [01:17:27] Speaker F: I found Frost on the grass where they were. [01:17:33] Speaker B: Wait, there was fire in here? And I sat there. Who does both of them things or do you think it was a team up? [01:17:42] Speaker G: Oh, I don't doubt it. [01:17:44] Speaker C: Oliver. E. I look at Oliver. [01:17:47] Speaker A: Yes? [01:17:48] Speaker E: Could I do a mythology check to see if I could summon up any figure that might fit these criteria? [01:17:55] Speaker A: Sure. Make a mythology roll. Expertise in mythology? [01:17:59] Speaker E: Yes. And would IDEK apply? [01:18:01] Speaker A: Yeah, why not? [01:18:03] Speaker E: Okay, 35. [01:18:06] Speaker A: And you're asking about fire and ice [01:18:10] Speaker E: primarily, I think ice and like earth and rotting, but then also a little bit of fire in there too, maybe. [01:18:17] Speaker A: Okay. I mean that's really, really broad. There are a number of gods of. Of winter and ice and cold. This is a very, very long list. [01:18:35] Speaker E: If it helps, he's probably trying to narrow in all on the. The ace here. [01:18:40] Speaker A: Okay, let me. Why? [01:18:43] Speaker E: Because it's the Fenris wolves. [01:18:45] Speaker A: He makes a good point. Let me get to this. It's not racist. It's not. Oh my God. Sorry, guys, my notes are freaking out for a second. I love everything I do. Everything makes me so happy. Okay, Okay, okay, okay, okay. Okay. So there is. Uller is one of the. One of the gods of frost and ice in winter. There is. You have found out recently you haven't met him, but you have found out recently that technically Jack Frost is real. Not so much a God as like A spirit. I really should have. Should have been more prepared for this. Uller is one of them. I believe Hel technically has. Has access to frost. You also know that the reality is, is that if a scion gets their hands on a relic that happens to have the frost purview tied to it, they can tap into those powers. You also know that magic, one of its conveniences is that it can kind of mimic anything. And as far as like. As far as like earth stuff, that's literally any fertility deity you can come up with and death. Death deities probably have some amount of access to the ability to like, what do you call it? To make things like rot and decay. [01:20:38] Speaker E: I'm wondering if the fire could be explained due to the scion here that tried to create a sigil to protect from it. If whoever attacked them took a relic and was able to turn it against them. As for the frost and earth and rotting, it could be hell. But I don't think that lines up up considering Gwen is a scion of her and she rejected her mother. That's why she's on the other side. [01:21:06] Speaker C: Doesn't change the skills she has. [01:21:08] Speaker E: No, it doesn't. [01:21:09] Speaker B: So Gwen was here, do you? [01:21:12] Speaker E: It could be that, but I feel like Gwen, like Andre said earlier, would have wanted them to suffer had this last longer. But for all we know, letting a bunch of wolves feast away, you could. Could have been suffering enough. [01:21:27] Speaker C: I have a not dumb idea, but kind of a silly one. Can I text net? We've been fighting the wolves long enough. [01:21:34] Speaker A: Sure. What would you like to say? [01:21:36] Speaker C: I'm gonna tell her, like kind of just very starkly tell her what we've got and then including the like text of like we found intercepted, we found someone, or we found one, we were too late. And then ask if she's seen this level of interference of like attack. [01:21:55] Speaker A: Okay, I'm going to need you to be more specific about what you say and how you say it. That'll tell me how she responds. [01:22:04] Speaker C: Came across the room like got to a. Got to an attack too late. Looks like Fenris wolves are feeding. Have scion interference and then kind of describe and give her looks like frost, fire and fertility question mark. [01:22:28] Speaker A: What you get back is in terms of like sheer level of destruction and purposeful, you know, just trying to wreck everything and employing a lot of up. A lot of up powers and magic and things like that. This is not new. This has been going on for a while. It isn't things getting really, really bad and there being a lot of a Lot of damage was kind of always a worry. But it got way worse when Stack Stefan defected and went to prison because Gwen took over. And that the amount of magic and the use of various purviews has been getting steadily worse. [01:23:20] Speaker C: Does that imply that there are scions on Gwen's side? [01:23:25] Speaker A: You would know out of. You would know without asking her. There are always scions who like, abandoned the gods. Not a lot of them, but scions that fall or. Or defect and turn on the gods and go work for the Titans is not a new problem. So there is every chance that there are scions working with Gwen and the wolves, especially if it means. Especially if it means, you know, saving themselves from potential slaughter. [01:23:55] Speaker C: Right. I'm just gonna finish it with the conversation with letting her know where we are as far as state and city so that she knows where the last hit was. And then give her a stay alive, I owe you drinks. [01:24:13] Speaker A: You get a drop me a pin. And if you leave, do it again. When you get to wherever you're going, [01:24:20] Speaker C: she gets a little salute emote. [01:24:23] Speaker A: And when that happens, you feel this little. You feel a weird kind of tingly sensation on your forehead, which you know is from when you guys were in the same band together. She gave you a guardian mark, which is kind of a. If I ever need to show up and save your ass, she can basically teleport to you without you having to go get her. [01:24:46] Speaker C: I love her. [01:24:49] Speaker A: And you get the feeling that she kind of used it just to. Just to verify that it's you she's talking to. That's reasonable. Okay, while this is ha. While this cop. This text conversation was happening, you guys all hear a phone. Clint's phone. Chime in. In his. I'm sorry, not Clint's phone. Lyra's phone, which Clint is carrying. Chime in Clint's pocket. [01:25:16] Speaker B: The hell. [01:25:17] Speaker A: Hold on. [01:25:17] Speaker B: Let me take this out and finish sending this off. Okay. [01:25:22] Speaker A: What? [01:25:26] Speaker B: Okay, we have contact. Clint will look at the message for a second longer and then let me. Okay, so this person don't have a number for him. Says they they fix the cast off system. No wasting time figuring out if prey deserves mercy. And they want me to tell. I think this is about you. He'll look over to Blythe that your daddy should have sent somebody. Please don't hit me. So should have sent somebody more confident and he will turn the phone around so that they can. They can see the screen. [01:26:14] Speaker A: The exact wording of the text messages I fixed to the cast off system. No wasting time figuring if figuring out if prey deserves mercy. Oh, and tell the new raven bitch that her daddy should have sent someone more competent. [01:26:29] Speaker B: This. It's not good. I'm gonna send a text to my mom real quick. [01:26:35] Speaker A: Please ignore the ping I just accidentally sent you. Kevin. I just copy pasted. [01:26:40] Speaker B: I'm. I'm noticing. All right, it's gone. [01:26:43] Speaker C: What's the number? [01:26:46] Speaker A: That's what's weird. It doesn't have a number attached. It just says unknown number. [01:26:50] Speaker B: Andre, can you figure out who sent this? [01:26:53] Speaker A: Andre. [01:26:54] Speaker F: Apologies. Had a little bit of a trouble there. What'd you say? [01:26:58] Speaker B: Andre, we found a sort of new text message on Lyra's phone, but there's no number that I can see connected to this thing. You mind tracking it down for us with your super smart tech brain? [01:27:11] Speaker F: I'll see what I can do. But if they got anything, if they got anywhere near what I got, then they're probably good at covering the tracks. But I'll. I'll see what I can do. [01:27:22] Speaker B: Hey, good idea. [01:27:23] Speaker F: And he will work to try to get past whatever they're doing to block their number, to get a idea of what the number is, where they're coming calling from, all that fun stuff, tracing it back. [01:27:37] Speaker A: Okay. Make me a technology roll. You are not going to be able to use. Well, you could use skill mastery, but there is a solid chance it will not beat the. The thing. So my. My recommendation is that you roll. [01:27:55] Speaker F: Yeah, I'm just gonna roll. [01:27:57] Speaker A: I am rolling in secret to see if you can beat who. Who is countering. [01:28:01] Speaker F: It's just a 29. [01:28:03] Speaker E: I would like to give Andre a luck point. If he wants to use it. [01:28:06] Speaker A: You absolutely can. If he wants it. [01:28:08] Speaker F: If it will act. Does it act as a hero point or does it. Or is it. [01:28:13] Speaker A: Yeah, [01:28:17] Speaker F: well, I. [01:28:18] Speaker A: You literally can't do worse because if [01:28:20] Speaker F: you roll, not do work. So I will just go ahead and roller for shits and gigs. Exact same role. [01:28:24] Speaker A: Oh, wow. Okay. [01:28:27] Speaker E: It doesn't even get the plus dead. [01:28:29] Speaker D: Sorry. [01:28:29] Speaker E: Try my best. [01:28:30] Speaker F: It's all good. [01:28:31] Speaker A: All right. It's okay. Andre, what you can tell, you cannot get like the true number that it is coming from. You think it may be because they are using a program on a computer that spoofs text messages. So it's not actually coming from a phone number. So you just. You just hit a wall trick it. [01:28:58] Speaker F: I think they're using a computer, not actual text message. So it's. They're just spoofing and sending messages. [01:29:05] Speaker C: Oh, a troll hiding behind a computer. [01:29:08] Speaker B: I thought they prefer sticking onto bridges. This makes it complicated. [01:29:16] Speaker A: While this is happening. Stefan. [01:29:20] Speaker D: Yes? [01:29:21] Speaker A: Your phone rings. [01:29:23] Speaker D: He will open it. Who's calling? [01:29:27] Speaker A: Ancestry.com. and that is where we are going to go to break. [01:30:14] Speaker A: It continues to ring in your hand. [01:30:18] Speaker B: Who could be calling at this hour? [01:30:19] Speaker C: Who'd be calling you? [01:30:21] Speaker G: I don't like the implication of Ancestry.com [01:30:27] Speaker C: oh, don't answer it. [01:30:28] Speaker E: Good. [01:30:30] Speaker G: Oh, no, I don't want to answer it, but I have a feeling I either answer it or he shows up somewhere. [01:30:38] Speaker B: Just let him. [01:30:39] Speaker C: Make him. [01:30:40] Speaker B: It's fine. [01:30:41] Speaker G: I'll send him to voicemail. [01:30:48] Speaker E: Oh, geez. [01:30:50] Speaker D: Does it ever go voicemail? [01:30:52] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:30:53] Speaker B: Or is it just gonna keep on ringing? [01:30:55] Speaker A: It does, in fact, go to voicemail. [01:30:58] Speaker B: Well, at least we don't have to worry about that anymore. [01:31:01] Speaker E: Oh, no. I think we're about to see something else instead. [01:31:04] Speaker A: There's another chime from your phone, Stefan. [01:31:07] Speaker D: He'll look at it. [01:31:09] Speaker A: You have a voicemail. [01:31:10] Speaker D: He will open the voicemail. [01:31:13] Speaker A: What does the voicemail say? [01:31:14] Speaker H: I understand not picking up. Obviously there's a lot of unsaid things and untread ground, but I have some information about the situation you guys are in right now that I was hoping to share. Yeah, call me back. This number's good for the rest of the day. Bye. [01:31:32] Speaker A: Did you put that on speakerphone? [01:31:34] Speaker D: Yes. [01:31:35] Speaker B: What the hell? [01:31:36] Speaker A: Hey, Andre. [01:31:37] Speaker C: My taint. [01:31:38] Speaker F: Hey, that guy. [01:31:40] Speaker A: Hey, Andre. [01:31:41] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:31:42] Speaker A: How you feeling? [01:31:44] Speaker F: My arm hurts. [01:31:46] Speaker A: Take a hero point, buddy. Thanks. As you. You swear you can feel the hand that you don't have anymore clench into a fist. [01:31:59] Speaker F: Oh, good. All those muscles are going to be tense for the day. That's great. [01:32:02] Speaker G: So, thoughts and ideas? [01:32:06] Speaker B: Well, he surely sounds helpful. Like he knows exactly what's going on and how we can go to the next step. I don't fucking trust him. [01:32:15] Speaker E: None of us trust him. But if he says he has information, he probably does. He's just going to be a dick about giving it to us. [01:32:23] Speaker C: What does he want in exchange, [01:32:26] Speaker D: Stefan? [01:32:27] Speaker F: To a baseball game? I don't fucking know. [01:32:29] Speaker A: It is about this time, Clint, that as you were standing there, there is a flutter of wings and Ian literally like flies in from like a shadow at the corner corner of the room and perches on your shoulder. [01:32:42] Speaker B: There you are. Welcome back, big guy. [01:32:44] Speaker A: Sorry it took so long. There's a long way away. I had to go the long route. [01:32:50] Speaker B: I understand. I appreciate you getting back as quick as you could. There's a situation going on here. [01:32:57] Speaker A: Damn, this place is up. [01:32:59] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. I mean, look around. I can't even see the ghosts. They off. [01:33:04] Speaker A: Of course you wouldn't. [01:33:07] Speaker B: What do you mean? [01:33:08] Speaker A: Well, their hearts are gone. [01:33:09] Speaker B: Wait, so if they ain't got no hard. They ain't got no ghost. [01:33:13] Speaker A: He kind of shut. Like his feathers shudder a little bit. It doesn't always wreck their soul, but sometimes it can. Can. Or at the very least it can shut them off and make it harder to pull them back. There's a reason why the only time anyone's ever seen Oliver's friend Moira is either in the underworld or what a God brings her. [01:33:38] Speaker B: Ian, do you know that if we punish these people what ate their hearts that that they'll be able to find peace? At least be put back together something? [01:33:49] Speaker A: I imagine it wouldn't hurt. [01:33:52] Speaker B: I agree. After tweeting to his friend, he turns to to his friends with a much more determined look on his face. [01:34:00] Speaker A: Why does Andre look like he's gonna throw up? [01:34:03] Speaker B: He said, well, we just got a call from Loki. Oh, voicemail. Really? [01:34:10] Speaker A: So voicemails are usually preceded by a phone call. Yeah, I understand that much. [01:34:17] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Ian, you mind taking a look around? We're gonna. I think they've already done the best they could. Do y' all have any. He'll stop tweeting. Y' all got any tasks for Ian here? Are we good to have him just hanging out for us? [01:34:35] Speaker E: I've got nothing. [01:34:36] Speaker G: We already got braum in the air. [01:34:39] Speaker B: That's right. We got Overwatch. All right, Ian, keep your head on a swivel and keep tweeting in my ears. [01:34:47] Speaker C: I'll offer Ian a. Like a pony, like a bead. [01:34:51] Speaker A: He will happily take it because no one bothered to give him a treat for taking a ghost to an underworld that's not his, which is a long fucking trip. [01:34:59] Speaker C: Good boy, Ian. [01:35:00] Speaker A: He puffs up, looks proud of himself. [01:35:03] Speaker C: Clint, you've got a very handsome bird. [01:35:06] Speaker B: That I do. He does good work. So selfless. [01:35:11] Speaker E: I think. I think we call him back. We don't have to trust him or do anything that he says. Agree to any Terms, but any information is better than no information. [01:35:21] Speaker G: You can also hang up if he starts acting like a prick. [01:35:26] Speaker F: And if we're. If we're gonna give credit where it's due. He's been gone for 30 years. He hasn't exactly been puppeteering all this. So he probably has information without actually having been involved. [01:35:39] Speaker C: I'm more considered concerned about what he wants in exchange. [01:35:42] Speaker F: Yeah, sure. [01:35:44] Speaker E: Guess we'll see. [01:35:45] Speaker D: I will call the number back. [01:35:48] Speaker A: Okay. Ring, ring. Sorry. [01:35:52] Speaker H: After the third ring. Hello? [01:35:54] Speaker F: Hey. [01:35:55] Speaker H: Hey, kid. [01:35:57] Speaker G: Yeah, let's not do that. What do you know? [01:36:00] Speaker H: Oh, yeah, yeah, absolutely. Well, some. Some interesting stuff going on. The. I. Yeah, the ice witch, she was able to take down wards on that safe house. Wouldn't have probably gotten in her and whatever she's working for. See, Gorm, my grandson, right, He. He's got the muscle to pull this off, but he doesn't quite have the. The foresight, so. [01:36:28] Speaker G: Yeah, I could have guessed. [01:36:30] Speaker H: So way I see it, he's getting it from somewhere. And you guys probably got a look [01:36:36] Speaker G: at who that was. [01:36:38] Speaker H: That's with the frost and such. [01:36:39] Speaker F: So. [01:36:40] Speaker H: So there's that. [01:36:42] Speaker G: How do you know about all this so quickly? [01:36:45] Speaker H: You know, you get back, you try to get the lay of the land, you do some research. Legwork. I gotta do my own legwork, you know, because on account of everybody wants to be dead or beat up or in prison or poisoned or, you know, not the point. Oh, yeah, I've been looking into it. It's kind of the thing that's happening, you know, scions dropping dead the moment they get their visitation. That's unusual. Plus, obviously it's my grandson who's doing a lot of the. His and his, you know, great grandkids, etc. Doing a lot of the brutalizing and sort of makes it my problem. I figure I fix a problem that I started. Didn't start. Start it. But you get me here, I'm coming from. [01:37:36] Speaker G: Why don't you just go and tell Garm to stop them? [01:37:41] Speaker A: He's. [01:37:42] Speaker H: He's not. Respect receptive. Look, point is, you guys got here. That's good. You are late, but not too late. We can get into the larger politics at some point, I think. [01:37:55] Speaker A: Have the kid. [01:37:57] Speaker H: The wolves, they still have the kid. And Garm's kids have an appetite. [01:38:01] Speaker G: Are a lucky son of a. I [01:38:03] Speaker H: like to think so. What prompted that? [01:38:06] Speaker G: I was about to hang up on you. Get more into the kid. [01:38:11] Speaker H: Yeah, Mortal, not far from his visitation. Garm's kids have him, but that's the White staff you should be worried about. And I can point you to him. You can rescue this kid. All I want is the ship start coming down. Remember that. Any of the gods could have helped you. But I'm the one that did. [01:38:31] Speaker G: Tell me where the kid is. [01:38:32] Speaker H: Yeah. Mall a ways north of you. [01:38:36] Speaker A: All right. [01:38:36] Speaker G: Send me the location. I'm hanging up on you. [01:38:39] Speaker H: All right. It was good to talk to you. [01:38:41] Speaker D: Hang up. He had that on speaker the entire time. [01:38:47] Speaker B: Clint has just been staring and sweating from the. Like the pilot from airplane. [01:38:52] Speaker D: All right. [01:38:52] Speaker G: Back in the car. [01:38:55] Speaker E: One hell of a personality shift. Going from the smarmy that beat us up to mashed potatoes two weeks ago to some sad father dick. [01:39:05] Speaker B: You think he's just trying to reconnect with his kids now that he realizes how much of a shitty situation he's in? [01:39:11] Speaker E: Mr. No. There's always gonna be an ulterior motive. [01:39:14] Speaker B: Damn it. [01:39:15] Speaker C: He's not gonna tell us he has the fucking staff. [01:39:19] Speaker B: Why should we be concerned with the white staff? What about it is the problem? [01:39:25] Speaker E: I think it's more about who's wielding it. [01:39:27] Speaker A: That. Yes. [01:39:28] Speaker F: And it's probably a really powerful relic we gotta worry about. [01:39:31] Speaker B: Yeah. That's what I think. [01:39:34] Speaker E: Right. Like Stefan said into the car. [01:39:37] Speaker C: Gwen knows we're here. [01:39:39] Speaker A: There is a time on Stefan's phone. Stefan, you are dropped a pin with a location. It is not hard to open it and see that it is an old. An old mall. Less than an hour north. [01:39:58] Speaker G: All right. We're gonna try and get there as fast as possible. [01:40:02] Speaker B: Ian, you want to stay up above with the brown. [01:40:04] Speaker A: I can't fly as fast as he does. [01:40:07] Speaker B: All right, then tuck in. We're gonna be in for a ride. [01:40:11] Speaker C: How far is it? [01:40:12] Speaker B: About an hour to the north. [01:40:14] Speaker G: Here, I'll show you the. The little map thingy thing. [01:40:18] Speaker A: I am reasonably certain it is. It is past where you can go without making yourself eepy. Yeah. So you can if you want to. You just have to. I think you have to spend a hero point to clear the status. [01:40:34] Speaker C: Which I can do from I can. We can go. We can get there instantly if we want. [01:40:41] Speaker B: Will we be able to have the van so we can drive away with the kid? [01:40:45] Speaker C: I can take the kid. [01:40:47] Speaker B: So we're gonna show up, get our asses kicked, save a kid and hopefully we're still alive and you're able to run away. Away. [01:40:57] Speaker C: Theoretically. [01:40:58] Speaker A: We could show up. [01:40:59] Speaker C: I could grab the kid. We could all leave together and never have to fight anyone. Wouldn't be as fun. [01:41:03] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:41:04] Speaker E: I like that plan sounds more effective. [01:41:06] Speaker F: Until we know. Yeah, and until we know more about what we're dealing with, we need to prepare for this, for actually fighting this thing. So the main and the main focus should always be getting the kid out of there. [01:41:16] Speaker G: Yeah, we don't got much time to prepare. [01:41:21] Speaker B: How about about we prepare in the van now? [01:41:24] Speaker F: Let's get going. [01:41:25] Speaker G: That works. [01:41:27] Speaker E: I'll wait until we're actually in the van driving to say this, but here's what I'm wondering. Why keep going. [01:41:33] Speaker A: So you're Dr. You're driving, you're not teleporting. [01:41:36] Speaker C: I can use Lucky's. I can use Lucky's hero points to clear the fatigue. I just don't have a way to say that in game. [01:41:43] Speaker G: Yeah, I mean, we don't got much time. I don't think they're gonna keep the kid alive for long. [01:41:51] Speaker F: Yeah, I think we need to get there as fast as possible. And Audrey will look to Blythe. Hate to ask, but if you could get us there quick and get us out quick, then that might be best. [01:42:02] Speaker A: Oliver, it is worth noting because you were the only person here who has had to face the wolves as an unawakened scion. If they took the. If they took this person out of here because they hadn't awakened. So they. And they have to force it to happen. They are moving as fast as they can. [01:42:20] Speaker E: Yeah. We don't have time. We're up against the clock until this kid awakens. And that could be literally at any given moment. [01:42:27] Speaker C: Sorry about your planning time. Everyone hold hands. [01:42:30] Speaker B: Yep. Let's fucking do this. [01:42:32] Speaker D: I will take nail out of my hand. [01:42:35] Speaker A: Get the dragon. [01:42:35] Speaker D: Large it. [01:42:37] Speaker A: Okay, hold on. What are you doing, Stefan? [01:42:41] Speaker D: I am getting my weapon ready. [01:42:44] Speaker A: Okay. Would you like to describe for the people at home what it looks like when you do this? [01:42:49] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:42:50] Speaker D: He will take out of his belt a nail. A large, kind of flat headed, square nail. And he will hold it and it will enlarge into a cold iron maul. Big hammer. [01:43:08] Speaker A: Neat. This is the first time any of you have seen this? You saw him receive the nail when you were. When you were [01:43:18] Speaker C: in the. [01:43:18] Speaker A: The Tuatha overworld, but you have not seen it actually turn into a weapon yet. [01:43:24] Speaker B: I don't think that we're gonna be repairing any sort of train tracks for that size of a train, but. All right. Okay. [01:43:33] Speaker A: Right. [01:43:34] Speaker E: Anyway. And I'll once again whistle to try to lure Brahmin. [01:43:39] Speaker A: That'll work this time. He's. He's not off punting. He was Explicitly keeping watch so he's not far. He does, however, land outside the door. And when he goes to move inside, because he is a fairly big boy, like what's left of that, that front door just kind of gets crushed under him as he walks in. [01:44:02] Speaker E: Wasn't being used anyway. [01:44:03] Speaker C: Blood is using Street View to just kind of get an idea of where they can pop in. That's far enough away. That's got some cover. [01:44:13] Speaker A: You'd have to be several blocks away. This is a mall. It's a pretty open space. [01:44:18] Speaker C: Can I get on the roof? [01:44:19] Speaker A: What does Street View show? You mean like Street View is in like Google Maps? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Then yeah, you could probably aim for the roof. [01:44:30] Speaker C: And it's a working mall, correct? [01:44:34] Speaker A: I know. [01:44:35] Speaker C: So abandoned or working. [01:44:36] Speaker A: It's. It's abandoned. Most malls aren't. Aren't working anymore, so that's so reasonable. [01:44:40] Speaker C: All right, kids. Everyone keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times. And don't throw up when we get there. [01:44:48] Speaker A: Would you like to describe what it feels like while I move your tokens to the right? Fucking map. Because I didn't plan for you guys to pop up. I didn't plan for you guys to pop up on the goddamn roof. [01:45:05] Speaker C: Would you like me to go somewhere else? [01:45:07] Speaker A: No, it's fine. It's just that I hadn't put your tokens there, so I have to move them. So you describe what it feels like while I do this and I detail them. [01:45:16] Speaker C: Like we're like starting on the roof as everyone's going to hold hands and you see Blythe, like kind of look around and she. [01:45:26] Speaker A: You can see she's like. [01:45:28] Speaker C: Get doing a little bit of like, math before she says, I advise you close your eyes. And it feels like something. Like it feels like you're in a room with just a ton of pressure. Like you're being squeezed as there's no. For Stefan especially, except for the smell, I guess, that he associates with AC or magic. It's almost nothing. There's no scent, there's no sound. There's no anything. It's like when you go to sleep and then you wake up and it's morning. It's like that. Except for that insane, like, I almost eye popping pressure of moving through space and a lot. [01:46:18] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:46:19] Speaker C: Blythe does not seem to notice it. You might feel a little dizzy afterwards. It's not an actual, like, it's not an actual downside to it. It's just I imagine that moving through space is really disorienting. For someone who's never done it before? [01:46:36] Speaker A: A little. Yeah, we are. But yes. [01:46:40] Speaker C: Like, it feels like an almost an instant, that feeling. And it passes, and you just hear her go, ta da. [01:46:49] Speaker B: Am I good to open my eyes now? [01:46:52] Speaker A: Yes. [01:46:54] Speaker B: Okay. Clint will slowly open his eyes and blink and look around. Where the hell are we? [01:47:02] Speaker F: I don't think I'll ever get used to that. [01:47:08] Speaker C: And who's holding Blythe's hand? [01:47:10] Speaker B: Based on our layout, probably Clint very. [01:47:14] Speaker C: When we pop in, she will, like, kind of, like, stumble back onto you, but then she'll, like, lean down to Lucky. [01:47:21] Speaker A: Careful, Lucky. You guys watch as Lucky licks from. From, like, under Blythe's jaw on one side all the way up to her hairline. And she somehow seems to feel better afterwards. It's weird. So I wrote a description for this, assuming that you guys would pop up, like, on the ground floor outside of the mall, but. So we're just gonna go with the description that I have. The abandoned mall rises out of a dead parking lot like the carcass of some extinct commercial beast. The asphalt is split by weeds. Old light poles lean crookedly over empty spaces. A few cars sit on flat tires or cinder blocks, their windows clouded with dust or missing entirely. The sign at the main entrance is sun bleached and half missing, unreadable. There are glass doors that are broken inward, but inside, the dark is not empty. Something is moving. Something is breathing. Something below you guys growls and a tone deep enough and resonant enough to make the old metal security gates and the broken glass of the skylights around you tremble. I need Oliver and Blythe to both make me a perception check. [01:48:44] Speaker E: I'm so good at these. [01:48:44] Speaker C: Can Lucky do that for me? [01:48:46] Speaker A: Lucky can also make it, but you have to make it, too. That is a 1013 of lucky gets 17. Okay. Lucky is the only one who passed this check. Lucky goes very alert like everybody else is. Is kind of struggling with that. Like, the. The feeling that's left behind by this, like, long range teleportation. But Lucky is immediately alert, and you can hear that kind of growly voice in your head. Blithe. This feels weird. Something's weird. Something's wrong. [01:49:25] Speaker C: Like, any idea what? [01:49:29] Speaker A: I don't know. It's magic. I can feel it. I can smell it. Big magic. [01:49:35] Speaker C: Oh, fuck. And she'll look up at the rest of them. [01:49:41] Speaker A: Oh. You guys also spot a number of wolves on the roof. [01:49:46] Speaker B: Oh, shit. Okay. [01:49:48] Speaker A: There are wolves that are about the height of, like, a. Like a full grown man, like Clinton, Stefan tall. And there are also a couple that are, like, the size of small of, like, cars. [01:50:02] Speaker B: Oh, boy. [01:50:03] Speaker F: Where's the big? The thumbnails are the bigger ones downstairs. All right, let's do this. [01:50:07] Speaker A: Yep. [01:50:08] Speaker B: Clint is gonna, subtly as he can, pull the toothpick from his mouth and get ready to fight off the wolves. [01:50:16] Speaker A: I would like everybody to roll Initiative, please. [01:50:20] Speaker B: First game of the season, we've learned [01:50:22] Speaker C: a valuable lesson about where we land. [01:50:27] Speaker A: Hold on. Let me get the turn order open. Okay, now you can roll. [01:50:30] Speaker F: Don't forget to click your token. [01:50:35] Speaker B: We're starting off strong. Oh, dear. [01:50:39] Speaker D: I will spend a hero point to automatically go first in the initiative order. [01:50:43] Speaker E: Oh, you got that? [01:50:46] Speaker B: I will spend a hero point to reroll my initiative. [01:50:51] Speaker A: Lucky. [01:50:52] Speaker C: He's doing so well. [01:50:53] Speaker A: Okay, Stefan, I still need you to roll so that I can add you to the thing. So we're just gonna make Stefan 99 so we know he's at the top. [01:51:02] Speaker B: It does change me to, I believe, a 23, because I rolled below a 10 on a Hero point roll. [01:51:09] Speaker A: Try and move this so that people at home can see the initiative rolls. [01:51:16] Speaker C: Life does one thing and one thing only. [01:51:18] Speaker A: To that. Did it work? It did. Okay, then I need to go over here. All right, cool. Well, Blythe and Stefan are at the top of the order. That's cool. And then I need to get back to the right fucking layer. Okay, Stefan. [01:51:47] Speaker G: Yes. All right. [01:51:49] Speaker A: You get to go first, darlin. [01:51:52] Speaker G: Well, I don't see any child up here. [01:51:57] Speaker A: You do not. [01:51:59] Speaker G: So I will move to the window and break it and look through. [01:52:05] Speaker A: You can break it. That's no problem. Looking through, you see directly under you. I have to open the thing so that I could see where you'd be looking down. You see a couple of things. You see dead storefronts, broken kiosks and seating pieces, collapsed signs empty. You see a space where there's negative space in the floor of the second floor. It's like a balcony that overlooks the bottom floor. You can see a number of wolves. They are all prowling and sniffing around, and you can hear them in that kind of growly speak that the Fenris wolves have because they can actually talk. They are clearly looking for something. [01:53:00] Speaker G: I see. Well, I will activate my flight and sleep not inside, but move above the glass. [01:53:15] Speaker A: So you're not going inside your. Okay. What are you trying to do? Just. What are you trying to do? Just hovering or. [01:53:22] Speaker D: Yes, he's hovering over the glass because I assume these wolves have noticed us. Now. [01:53:28] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Every wolf on. On the. On the roof has turned to look at you. [01:53:37] Speaker D: He is just going to. Well, you know, why not? I'll go inside the building, but stay hovering and flying. [01:53:45] Speaker A: Okay, so if you go. So I need to move you to the other layer. Okay. [01:53:53] Speaker D: I care about the child, not the wolves. [01:53:55] Speaker A: Peace. I understand. [01:53:59] Speaker D: Good luck, ceiling gang. [01:54:02] Speaker A: So you would be. Of course, you abandon us. You would be about here, but, like, hovering in the air. Can you see everything? [01:54:13] Speaker D: Oh, yes. [01:54:15] Speaker A: Yeah. You are surrounded by wolves. And you can see more on the floor below you. And we are gonna remove him from this lair. All right, Blythe, your turn. [01:54:31] Speaker C: I'm so sorry. [01:54:32] Speaker A: Did Stefan just leave? Stefan is below you, so he's not. Not on your thing. And it removed him, so it's fine. He's at the top. It's really easy to remember where he is. [01:54:46] Speaker C: Blythe just like, pinches between her eyebrows or pinches a bridge of her nose for a second and pulls from kind of behind her ear her hair stick. And it twirls it for a second and extends to her Cheng. Okay, let's. Any chance. There's no way to tell if these little guys are minions, is there? [01:55:08] Speaker A: No, there is no way to tell. [01:55:10] Speaker C: In that case, we're going to pop to the nearest one and actually. Yeah, pop to the nearest one and do a stab. [01:55:18] Speaker A: Okay. Move yourself to wherever you're going, which I think is this one. [01:55:23] Speaker C: Yep. Oh, my God. I have too many character sheets. [01:55:26] Speaker A: You have two? [01:55:27] Speaker B: Yeah. That's too many. [01:55:31] Speaker C: I feel like absolute hot garbage. [01:55:36] Speaker A: Yeah, that does not hit. It kind of dances to the side, kind of jukes to the side for a second and avoids you. And you hear a kind of like, snarling little laugh. [01:55:49] Speaker C: All right, whatever. I am, however, using a move by action to continue out of the way to pop back to out of the way, so I'm a less tasty target. [01:55:59] Speaker A: Okay. Where are you going? [01:56:01] Speaker C: Actually, probably going to cover some ground. Let's get to the other side of the or. Let's just move away. Normal. [01:56:09] Speaker E: I was muted. I was asking Blythe, do you want to try again? [01:56:12] Speaker C: I actually would, yeah. [01:56:14] Speaker E: I have a luck point. [01:56:16] Speaker A: It's okay. Go back. I'll take it. [01:56:18] Speaker E: Sorry, I was muted. [01:56:19] Speaker C: I didn't realize I roll so bad. [01:56:22] Speaker D: Gary's shouting at his monitor. [01:56:24] Speaker A: Oh, my effing God. It's an 18. That's an 18. It does it. It does throw up. Okay, what does it need to meet for its toughness? It is highly unlikely. It's going to make this, but it'll try. Nope, that was a pretty good effort. [01:56:48] Speaker C: Now, do they count as minions? [01:56:50] Speaker A: They do it. [01:56:52] Speaker C: I have takedown. [01:56:53] Speaker A: You hit. You hit it and it falls. If you have takedown and move by action, you can continue. [01:56:59] Speaker C: I have take down and move by action. [01:57:01] Speaker A: Do you take down two or can or take down one? [01:57:05] Speaker C: What a great question once again, because [01:57:07] Speaker A: take down two is what you need to be able to continue even if they are not right up again. Right next to each other. [01:57:13] Speaker C: Oh my God. Where is it? It's an alphabetical or. Clara, I have takedown two. [01:57:17] Speaker A: All right, good. Move on. [01:57:19] Speaker C: Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna continue doing this. Hello. [01:57:24] Speaker A: Stabbity. Stabbity. Well, that's a crit. So it's just gone. [01:57:32] Speaker C: And I guess I get to keep going. [01:57:34] Speaker A: You do. You get to keep going until you fail. [01:57:37] Speaker C: I'm never gonna roll like this again. [01:57:39] Speaker A: Okay, that hits. [01:57:41] Speaker C: Does that clear all the minions on this floor? [01:57:43] Speaker E: Well, we'll see. [01:57:45] Speaker A: Nope. Down. [01:57:48] Speaker E: Now these big ones are also minions. She gets to keep going. [01:57:52] Speaker A: You can continue. I think these are. [01:57:55] Speaker C: Oh my God. [01:57:56] Speaker E: Okay, they're probably like big boy minions, though. [01:57:58] Speaker F: Other beef here. Probably. [01:58:00] Speaker A: Okay, that was not gonna do it. Well, you missed. [01:58:03] Speaker F: And we're back. [01:58:05] Speaker A: And we're back. Andre, you are on the roof. There are ways to get off the roof. You can also fly, so you don't necessarily have to take the long way. I'm just saying there are both stairs and you could. Or you could fly or you could stay up here. It's up to you. [01:58:23] Speaker F: Given the fact that there are so many of my friendos up here with Lucky and Braum and Ian, as well as Clint and. And Oliver. I'm going to just go ahead and go after Stefan, who's alone in uncharted territory to make sure he at least has some back. So I'm going to pop the wings out of the Daedalus device and fly after them. [01:58:46] Speaker A: Okay, so we are going to move you up here so that you're not actually on this layer anymore. I didn't mean to make you smaller. And then we're going to move you over here. [01:59:06] Speaker F: Oh, there's a big one. [01:59:08] Speaker H: Oh boy. [01:59:09] Speaker G: And then [01:59:11] Speaker A: you would drop in right about here. Need to do a thing. Stefan, I'm gonna roll initiative for you because I accidentally removed you from the turn order when I deleted your fucking token off the main map. [01:59:26] Speaker D: Alrighty. [01:59:27] Speaker A: Just ignore that and I will put you at 99 so that we have you at the top of the Order. [01:59:33] Speaker D: Thank you. [01:59:36] Speaker A: We should be there. Okay, Andre, you have flown inside. I'm gonna move our audience so that they can see what's happening. You can see what's happening? [01:59:50] Speaker F: Oh, boy. [01:59:52] Speaker A: There you go. So everybody at home can see where they are. Devon or Andre, what are you doing? Now that you're inside, all you've done is move. [02:00:00] Speaker F: Oh, God. I think what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna try. I'm just gonna look around and just look for the biggest target, which would be from immediately what I can see this. And I will go ahead and fly over to it and swing at it as I just roll the wrench in my hand, which extends into a large labrys axe. [02:00:22] Speaker A: Excellent. Do it. That misses. [02:00:26] Speaker E: Damn it. [02:00:27] Speaker A: Close, but no cigar, I'm afraid. [02:00:29] Speaker F: Nah, it's all good. Actually, you know what? I've got it. I got an extra hero point from my. [02:00:34] Speaker A: Make sure that you move your. Make sure that you move your token. [02:00:38] Speaker E: Yep. [02:00:38] Speaker F: I got an extra hero point for my arm being up. I will use a hero point of my own. [02:00:42] Speaker A: Do it. That is a 25. So that hits. [02:00:48] Speaker F: Huzzah. [02:00:50] Speaker A: All right, so it needs to be. Make a TC27 toughness check. [02:00:56] Speaker F: Yep. He's a strong boy. Oh, he made it. [02:01:02] Speaker A: He is a strong boy. It. You could tell that that stung. It didn't feel good. But it. He does not go down. He. He turns and snarls at you with bears teeth that are almost as long as your arm. Okay, we are on to Lucky. Oh, my God. [02:01:25] Speaker C: Jesus. I'm gonna have Lucky join me then. [02:01:28] Speaker A: Okay. Make sure that Lucky has enough movement. [02:01:34] Speaker C: Let me see other sheet. Clara, with his jumpies, he's 60ft at 16 miles an hour. So I think he's fine. [02:01:42] Speaker A: Yeah, he's fine. Yeah. [02:01:44] Speaker C: I ran out of screen. Hold on. [02:01:47] Speaker A: It's a big map. [02:01:49] Speaker B: He's a big battle. [02:01:51] Speaker C: And let's do a bite. Weird. [02:01:55] Speaker A: I think you're. I think your bite is a. Is your bite a. That's weird. I don't think it rolled that right. Hold on. Sorry, guys. [02:02:05] Speaker C: I don't think so. [02:02:05] Speaker E: It looks like it's a grab. [02:02:08] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [02:02:08] Speaker C: The bite becomes a grab. Hold on. It should be just a. It should be considered a. They get paired with each other. I just don't think it added the initial attack. [02:02:20] Speaker A: Roll. I can just roll. Yeah, just roll. [02:02:25] Speaker C: Fighting or strength or it would. [02:02:28] Speaker A: Strength. Yeah. Strength. Yeah. [02:02:31] Speaker C: 25. [02:02:32] Speaker A: Yes. That does in fact hit. [02:02:34] Speaker C: And he has fast grabbed, so he is holding. [02:02:37] Speaker A: Okay. Does it doesn't do damage. He's just grabbing him. [02:02:41] Speaker C: Yeah, that's what the whole the bite actually is. [02:02:44] Speaker A: DC versus strength or dodge? Well, they are the same, so. Nope. Fails that. And then athletics or acrobatics? Same again? Nope. So he is immobile and vulnerable. [02:03:08] Speaker C: Dog on dog. [02:03:09] Speaker A: Violence. You hate to see it. They're not dogs, they're wolves. Both of them. Are he just lucky? [02:03:15] Speaker C: Just lucky on buppy. Violence. [02:03:17] Speaker A: Buppy on puppy. All right. A la la la. Oliver? [02:03:22] Speaker E: Yes. Okay, quick question. I did a power stunt like an hour and a half ago in game time. Would I still be considered fatigued? [02:03:32] Speaker A: Nah. [02:03:33] Speaker E: Okay, good to know because otherwise I'd be moving real slow. [02:03:38] Speaker C: Cool. [02:03:38] Speaker A: In that case, you sat in a car for a while, you're fine. [02:03:42] Speaker F: Yeah. [02:03:42] Speaker E: Yeah. So I will turn to Braum, actually, and take two fingers and kind of like press them onto his forehead. The coat is going to ripple as I activate a worm shroud to give him concealment. I trust you'll pick your moment wisely. Who is it? Braum. [02:04:03] Speaker C: Braum. [02:04:03] Speaker A: I forgot to roll his initiative. Braum should go after Garm. Okay, so you've made him invisible? [02:04:14] Speaker E: Yes, I've given him concealment 10. [02:04:16] Speaker A: Okay. [02:04:18] Speaker E: As due to the nature of the cloak, it's less that he's invisible and more that people seem inclined to ignore his existence. [02:04:26] Speaker A: Okay. Would you like to move at all? [02:04:30] Speaker E: I got 30ft, so I will. [02:04:33] Speaker A: There are stairs kind of behind you at the edge of the building. [02:04:38] Speaker E: There's two big wolves up here, but Blythe and Cleanse are up here, so. Yeah. How far is that? That's 80ft. I'm not gonna make that. The hole's like in this spot right here, right? [02:04:47] Speaker B: Right. [02:04:49] Speaker A: Yeah, but it's like open space under it. Like you are looking down. [02:04:53] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, it's like. It's like a tall. Okay. [02:04:56] Speaker A: Yeah. This is a two story building, so if you. If you try to jump in, you are going to land on the ground floor. [02:05:02] Speaker E: Okay, gotcha. I was non conceptualizing how tall it actually was properly. In that case, yeah, I'll move 30ft over here. That's as far as I can go. [02:05:11] Speaker F: Actually. [02:05:12] Speaker E: I'll do an. I'll do an athletic check, see if I can go further. Nope, just come short. [02:05:17] Speaker A: Okay, done. [02:05:18] Speaker E: Yes, done. [02:05:20] Speaker A: All right, it is Garm's turn. Hey. What? [02:05:24] Speaker F: Excuse me. [02:05:26] Speaker A: He's. He's on the turn order, guys. [02:05:29] Speaker D: Excuse me. [02:05:30] Speaker B: I don't see him. I only see. [02:05:32] Speaker F: Beg your finest pardon. [02:05:34] Speaker A: Oh, it's because he's on a different layer, but yeah. No, it is Garm's turn. Oh, no. [02:05:39] Speaker C: The audience can see Garm. [02:05:42] Speaker A: They are. They can. In fact, I am adjusting the app to make sure that they can. Everybody can see. Big ass wolf token up here. Okay, I just thought that was a big wolf. [02:05:55] Speaker F: Oh, no, [02:05:59] Speaker A: you thought. You thought that there was a one that was just magically that much bigger than everybody else. I mean, he has been eating a lot of hearts, but let me see Garm. Oh, let's see what he can do, shall we? Oh, yeah, he's got lots of movement. You. So. So everybody kind of hears this, but who really hears this is Stefan and Andre. You hear the scratching of massive claws and the heavy thud of paws as big as. As I explained to Andre earlier, as big as, like the huge tires on a big rig. As down this hallway and around the corner comes the biggest fucking wolf Andre has ever seen. And around this corner, Stefan. You know who this is. You've met him before. [02:07:16] Speaker D: Oh, no. [02:07:19] Speaker A: Oh, no. And then he's gonna actually. Hold on. Can he get. Make sure he can. He's just gonna have to go here so that he's within 10ft of Andre. Can't quite get to where Stefan is because Stefan is over the gaping hole and he is too big to stand there, but he can. He puts his front paws up on this railing. And Andre, you can hear the railing start to crack under the weight. And he is going to use Demoralize. [02:08:03] Speaker B: Oh, boy. [02:08:05] Speaker A: I'm gonna need you to roll either Insight or Will DC25, please. [02:08:11] Speaker F: Will, it is. I'm gonna. [02:08:13] Speaker A: Oh, wow. A natural 20. He does this thing where he growls and you can feel it in your rib cage. Like your bones shake from how loud and how powerful the sound is. And you are pretty sure that had you not just had to steel yourself against hearing Loki's voice after what he did to you, that would have shaken you to your core. But you've already kind of, like, gathered your, like, your mental fortitude. [02:08:48] Speaker F: Yeah, you're big and you're loud. Fuck you, mutt. [02:08:52] Speaker A: Okay, that did not work and it is Brahm's turn. Yay. [02:09:00] Speaker E: My son. [02:09:03] Speaker A: He is your companion, not your son. [02:09:08] Speaker E: My heart. [02:09:09] Speaker A: My son in my heart. So cute. I do not have a speed for him, so that's fine. We're just going to have him roll athletics, which he is unlikely to beat his. Oh, no. He does. Okay, Braum, seeing that things are mostly pretty well in hand in here, out here, is going to dive into the hole left behind by Stefan and Andre and disappear inside of the mall. He's already out of sight anyway, so. Okay. Clint. [02:09:49] Speaker B: Yeah. I'd like to know if I can use a hero point to use my throne attack at two targets as a source sort of power stunt or some sort of thing. Multi attack, since I ain't got it to throw through one wolf and to the other. [02:10:06] Speaker A: Do you not have takedown? [02:10:08] Speaker B: I do not. [02:10:11] Speaker A: Okay, sure. [02:10:12] Speaker C: Hero points. Take down. [02:10:14] Speaker E: Yeah. You could instead hero point, give yourself the advantage of takedown and that'll work that way because otherwise multi tech, you have had to like decrease the rank down to like five. [02:10:23] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:10:25] Speaker B: All right. And takedown still works with throne weapons and stuff. [02:10:30] Speaker A: Take down two. [02:10:33] Speaker B: I see. [02:10:36] Speaker A: Yeah, it is. It's ticked out too, if it's. [02:10:38] Speaker H: Yeah. [02:10:39] Speaker E: So you need. [02:10:40] Speaker A: Which is two heroes. [02:10:43] Speaker C: Did you write a journal? [02:10:45] Speaker B: I did. [02:10:48] Speaker E: I could do some luck manipulation to give you one of my hero points if you really need it. [02:10:53] Speaker B: I've got two of my own, but. [02:10:55] Speaker E: Okay. [02:10:56] Speaker B: But I will be out after that. So if. If it needs. If it goes sideways, I'll ask for help. [02:11:02] Speaker C: Okay. [02:11:02] Speaker E: I can at least help with the reroll still. But I'm also running low on those types of luck manipulation things. [02:11:09] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:11:09] Speaker B: So Clint takes the toothpick out of his mouth and gives it a tug. And it keeps growing until it's a full on wooden spear engraved and marked with where his teeth sit on it. He's rear and back, one hand pointed towards the wolf like a Olympic thrower. And he's going to toss this thing hopefully through the first and into the second. [02:11:33] Speaker A: Okay. [02:11:34] Speaker B: We just have to wait for the hero or the. The sheet to finish loading. All right, There we go. [02:11:38] Speaker A: That certainly hits. Let's see if it passes its toughness. Check. It does not. So the first. First one goes down. [02:11:48] Speaker B: All right. Let's see if the toothpick keeps on or flying. There's our second one live. [02:11:53] Speaker C: Watching this, like, don't you have to [02:11:54] Speaker A: go get it Also goes down. [02:11:58] Speaker B: All right. With that, I would like to use my swift action to recall my spear and get ready to start moving. [02:12:06] Speaker A: Okay. Do you have. I mean, you could move now because you haven't used any of your movement. [02:12:11] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. That's fair. Yeah. So as it flies through two potties covered in gore and wolf guts and maybe a bit of fur, Clint will raise his hand to get it to fly back the same way it came. And then blood. It's time to go. And he'll start to jump through the window or the. The glass skylight. [02:12:32] Speaker A: Okay. Do you. Do you have like jump or Anything. [02:12:38] Speaker B: I do have a feather token that lets me fall safely and my toothpick gets used as a pole vaulting stick. [02:12:46] Speaker A: Okay, well, at least you have the feather token that lets you say fall. That was my biggest concern. I was just like. Because you. That's a long way down. [02:12:54] Speaker B: Who needs to die? You know, Just fall gently down. Oh, goodness. It's getting scary in here. Holy hell. [02:13:01] Speaker A: Oh, fuck. Go ahead and drag your token out near where. Oh, wait, no. You know what? You just have feather fall. You do not have flight, do you? [02:13:12] Speaker B: Nope, I ain't got flight. I'm falling right where I land. [02:13:15] Speaker A: Okay, so I actually have to move you to a different map altogether. You're gonna be the only one on this level. [02:13:20] Speaker B: Uh oh. I fell kinda far. [02:13:23] Speaker A: You are gonna land right about here. What the fuck? [02:13:27] Speaker D: We watch him fall past us. [02:13:29] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, you actually do. So the good news is you still have takedown. [02:13:37] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. There you go. [02:13:39] Speaker A: And you are surrounded by things you can. You can throw at, so. [02:13:43] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. [02:13:45] Speaker E: You'll have until the end of your next turn, too. [02:13:48] Speaker A: I gotta. I gotta move the. Our viewers. Sorry, guys. They have split up on me, and I'm. I'm. I'm trying to keep up, I swear. I am sorry. [02:13:58] Speaker E: Who takes the stairs around here? Apparently. [02:14:01] Speaker C: Well, not if you need a ride, [02:14:02] Speaker A: because I'm going to grab you. We're going to go. [02:14:06] Speaker B: All right, so Clint landing down there. He does have reach, but since we took it for two, we're just going to keep chucking the spear. [02:14:15] Speaker A: Yep. [02:14:16] Speaker B: Oh, we don't miss. [02:14:18] Speaker A: You're doing pretty well. Who are you trying to hit? Which one? [02:14:22] Speaker B: We'll do the closest one first, so. [02:14:24] Speaker A: The big one? [02:14:25] Speaker B: Yeah, the big boy. This is a bad idea. But here we go. [02:14:28] Speaker A: Oh. Nope. Down. [02:14:30] Speaker E: It worked. [02:14:31] Speaker B: Hell yeah. Now we'll go kind of. [02:14:33] Speaker A: You are benefiting from my shitty rolls. All right, who are you starting with? [02:14:38] Speaker B: We'll go from there, so clockwise, so that'll be next. Oh, that was a little low. [02:14:44] Speaker A: Yeah, but it still hits. [02:14:46] Speaker B: Let's go. [02:14:48] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:14:50] Speaker B: All right, we got one more. See if we can hit them. [02:14:54] Speaker A: You've got two more, technically. [02:14:57] Speaker B: All right. Yeah, that's true. From here. Okay. And then we got just one left that I can see, so I'm gonna throw my stick at it. Oh, finally missed. Make maybe, man. [02:15:14] Speaker A: Oh, no, wait, hold on. I'm sorry. You did miss. You did miss. I. I thought I saw 16. No, you. You missed that. That one jukes out of the way. [02:15:26] Speaker B: All right then. Clint Will just raise his hand to get his spear back and then. Oh, hell. This is not looking good, y'. All. He calls from way below. [02:15:35] Speaker A: All right, well, I've got good news and bad news. The good news is that Blythe and Lucky are up on the roof and there is nothing else up there to hit them. So that's nice. The bad news is it is now the mature and young Fenrirs turns and there's a lot of them. So we are gonna start with. We're gonna start with the young Fenrirs, I think. Make sure that they have enough movement. Oh, yeah. 120ft per round. They're good. Do do, do, do do. Okay. Unfortunately, Andre. [02:16:24] Speaker F: Yeah. [02:16:25] Speaker A: Stefan isn't on the ground yet. [02:16:27] Speaker F: Nope. Yep, keep him coming. [02:16:30] Speaker A: Okay, so the first one is going to attempt to trip you, bitch. And you are going to have to roll your acrobatics against their athletics. [02:16:45] Speaker F: Oh, that's gonna go swimmingly. [02:16:47] Speaker C: How acrobatic are you? [02:16:51] Speaker F: Better than most mortals. [02:16:52] Speaker A: And then I'm gonna try to make it so that everybody at home can still see what's happening. All right, first one. [02:17:02] Speaker E: Nope. [02:17:03] Speaker A: All right, you are tripped. [02:17:06] Speaker F: Makes sense. [02:17:07] Speaker A: And if I remember correctly, I think the others get bonuses if you are on the ground. Probably 90% certain. Okay. Sorry, I had to update the ship sheet. So the other two are actually going to do teamwork checks? Yeah, they're doing team attacks. [02:17:36] Speaker F: Makes sense. [02:17:37] Speaker A: To help their. Their. To help the mature Fenrir who is about to chomp down on you. It's been a hot minute since I have run something like this, so I apologize, guys, that I am doing a thing. Okay, so that's. Did it add the. It did add the plus five. Okay. Did I do the wrong thing? It has the same attack that Lucky does and it's messed up. So I'm just gonna roll a D20. Okay. [02:18:17] Speaker E: I think it's good. [02:18:19] Speaker F: It might be. [02:18:20] Speaker A: Okay, well it's. Fighting is a plus eight and then that's. Yeah. DC15 does not hit you, does it? You're not that hard shifted. [02:18:31] Speaker F: No. [02:18:33] Speaker A: Okay, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. That doesn't do anything then. Hey, Stefan. [02:18:42] Speaker E: Yes. [02:18:43] Speaker A: This one is about to like jump at you and try and it's just gonna risk having to fall downstairs. [02:18:51] Speaker D: Alrighty. [02:18:53] Speaker B: Joke them. Make them fall down. [02:18:57] Speaker A: Actually, I'm just gonna try and grab you and drag you down with it. And I could just continue to roll like absolute dog and miss. That's fine, man. I had this whole like badass combat encounter planned out. I just can't roll for nothing. All right, don't worry. [02:19:14] Speaker E: Don't worry. We are still ourselves. [02:19:16] Speaker F: Yeah. [02:19:17] Speaker D: Andre's about to get eaten by Garm. [02:19:19] Speaker F: Yeah, I mean, Garm's right there. [02:19:21] Speaker A: I just got to add one down here with Clint because it falls when it fails to hit you. [02:19:31] Speaker B: Why are y' all sending down friends? [02:19:36] Speaker A: Okay, delete that one. I don't. Were there any. There is one of the little ones that is within range, so it's going to attempt to hit Clint and probably fail. Does the 19 hit you? [02:19:57] Speaker B: Yes, it does. [02:19:59] Speaker A: All right, easy 21 toughness, please. Oh, you are bruised. [02:20:08] Speaker B: Oh, I'm bruised. [02:20:10] Speaker A: You take a bruise. So you want to put that in your injuries box? [02:20:14] Speaker B: I guess. Okay. I guess I'll lower all my roles by one by being bruised. [02:20:21] Speaker A: Okay, we are back to Stefan, who is on floor two. [02:20:27] Speaker G: All right, I will smell the air and try and find the scent of the human. [02:20:34] Speaker A: Okay, roll me a perception check, please. Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ. Okay. [02:20:44] Speaker D: Oh, I can smell you, child. Blender. [02:20:48] Speaker F: He can smell through time. [02:20:53] Speaker A: This is me remembering where put. I put them. You can tell that they are on this floor and that they are to the west of you, unfortunately. Toward slash past garden. [02:21:14] Speaker D: Got it. [02:21:15] Speaker G: All right. [02:21:16] Speaker A: How much movement do you have? [02:21:18] Speaker G: I can move 500ft in a round. [02:21:22] Speaker A: Okay, then you can absolutely get there. Would you like me to move you? [02:21:25] Speaker D: Yes, please. I don't know where the child is. [02:21:30] Speaker A: And then I need to move them. Nope. Change layer tokens. Can you see it? [02:21:46] Speaker E: Yes. [02:21:46] Speaker A: Yes. This is a young woman in her probably early 20s. She is wearing purple scrubs and looks terrified. She is crouched down in a corner. She has pulled, like, a discarded box of some sort in front of her and is desperately trying to hide behind it. And when she sees you, she screams, [02:22:15] Speaker D: I'm not a wolf. [02:22:16] Speaker G: We're trying to get you out of here. Give me a second. [02:22:20] Speaker A: Okay. All right, let's see. Back to the thing. It is life's turn. [02:22:32] Speaker C: Oliver, do you need a ride? [02:22:33] Speaker E: I love one. [02:22:34] Speaker C: I'm going to grab Oliver and Lucky. [02:22:38] Speaker A: Okay. How much movement do you have per round? [02:22:42] Speaker C: Hold on. [02:22:44] Speaker A: Why? I'm trying to select in that thing. These guys are not here anymore. [02:22:53] Speaker C: 1800ft. [02:22:55] Speaker A: Oh, Jesus. Okay. Yeah. And you've got move by action, so you can just pop around as you want. [02:22:59] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:23:00] Speaker A: Where would you like to go? [02:23:03] Speaker C: Or 500, depending on what. If you feel nasty. [02:23:07] Speaker A: Let's. I don't know. [02:23:09] Speaker C: I need to get Oliver. Can you see in? [02:23:13] Speaker E: I imagine from where I'm standing, I can See through the hole, right? [02:23:15] Speaker A: Yeah. So what you can see is you can look directly down there is the biggest fucking wolf you've ever seen. Like Oliver, you have seen these wolves in action. The one down there is like the size of a semi, if not bigger. You could say that Andre is surrounded by wolves. A handful of the small ones, one of the. The bigger ones, and he is on the floor on the ground. And the really, really big one is kind of like menacingly about 10ft away from him and it's like growling down at him. [02:23:53] Speaker C: Okay, Oliver, while you figure out where you want to go, I'm going to deposit Lucky next to Andre. [02:23:58] Speaker A: Okay. [02:23:59] Speaker C: And then I'm going to come back up for Oliver. He has that much time to tell me where he wants to go. [02:24:03] Speaker A: Okay, I'm confused. Oh, so you're dropping. You're dropping Lucky next to Andre. Got it. Okay. [02:24:11] Speaker C: Because I'm going to go join Andre. I think if Oliver doesn't have another place he wants to go. [02:24:16] Speaker A: Okay, so we're going to move. Move Clara onto floor two. You can also see directly down to the main floor. Oliver, and you can see Clint is on the bottom floor with a number of those wolves around him. So do you want to go to the main floor, the ground floor, or do you want to go to floor two where Andre is with the big ass wolf? [02:24:40] Speaker E: I'll go to floor two. [02:24:42] Speaker A: Okay. I need to move Carrie here. All right. Gonna move here. Okay, you. So you're going to the ground floor, you said, right? [02:25:00] Speaker E: Yeah, whichever one Andre's on. [02:25:02] Speaker A: No, Andre's on the second floor. [02:25:04] Speaker C: So I'm joining. I'm joining Andre. I'm leaving Oliver wherever he wants to go. [02:25:09] Speaker A: Okay. So Andre wants to be on the second floor as well. So you're both going to the same place. Okay. [02:25:15] Speaker C: Because it looks like he's in more trouble than. [02:25:18] Speaker E: Yeah, I trust Clint can handle myself right now. [02:25:20] Speaker A: So you guys can. You guys can drag your tokens anywhere into this general area. You should be able to see it. [02:25:27] Speaker C: Why didn't my token. Where the am I? I think you moved me. You lived, Lucky, but you didn't move me. [02:25:34] Speaker A: No, because you could just drag and drop from your cheetah. We're on the side. [02:25:38] Speaker C: Listen, I'm very pretty. [02:25:39] Speaker A: You're right here also. [02:25:40] Speaker C: That's my movement. That's part of my movement. [02:25:44] Speaker A: Yep. [02:25:45] Speaker C: Hey, Andre. And I'm about to start attacking now. [02:25:49] Speaker A: Okay, we'll see if I actually hit. Who are we starting with? [02:25:53] Speaker C: The littler guys. Okay, let's see here. Okay, go away. [02:25:57] Speaker A: That one's down. Because that's a crit. [02:26:00] Speaker C: And now we're takedown chance. [02:26:02] Speaker A: Oh, man, that one hits. Oh, thank you. Hand is down. Okay, who are you aiming for this time? The big one. The big one. That's not this one. [02:26:11] Speaker C: Oh, wait, no, that's not the little guy. Can I go after the little. [02:26:13] Speaker A: You'd have to pop over there, but, yeah, you just need to move your token. [02:26:16] Speaker C: Pop. [02:26:19] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay, that one's down. [02:26:22] Speaker C: And now we go up to the bigger guy. [02:26:23] Speaker A: Okay, you want him 23. Oh, wait. I just rolled on the wrong sheet. Hold on. They are much tougher than that. [02:26:32] Speaker C: Just shows up like, hey, Andre. [02:26:34] Speaker A: All right, that one's down. Oh, [02:26:39] Speaker C: Consider your ass saved. I'm going to keep going after minions. [02:26:42] Speaker A: I don't need to deal with G. How much more. How much more movement do you have? [02:26:47] Speaker C: What was the vertical movement [02:26:50] Speaker A: like? 30, 40. So let's say I did. I, I. I probably hit about 100 [02:26:58] Speaker C: getting everyone down here. [02:27:01] Speaker A: And then wasn't probably another 20 popping around. Yeah. [02:27:06] Speaker C: And I. I still have movement. [02:27:08] Speaker A: Okay, well, you're welcome. [02:27:10] Speaker C: Teleportation is broken. [02:27:11] Speaker A: It is. It's ridiculous. [02:27:13] Speaker C: Does anyone have eyes on the kid? Like, as I'm fighting, I'm just, like, yelling out. [02:27:17] Speaker A: What are you yelling? [02:27:18] Speaker C: Does anyone have eyes on the kid? [02:27:21] Speaker A: Okay. Or the. That one's down. You can keep going if you would like. Jesus. You can't go there because you can't see them. [02:27:30] Speaker F: I was gonna say, I think you have to see them. [02:27:31] Speaker A: You have to be able to see them. [02:27:33] Speaker C: All right. [02:27:34] Speaker A: All right. I still think that that hits close. The sheet takedown is broken. Told you. Take down's one of the most fun things ever. [02:27:47] Speaker B: I know. [02:27:47] Speaker G: Great. [02:27:49] Speaker A: I'm high, and I. I can't roll for. So I hope you're enjoying yourself. [02:27:55] Speaker C: I'm having so much fun. I never do this well. [02:27:59] Speaker A: Okay. I think. I think I finally. God damn it. [02:28:02] Speaker C: Blythe's just a full whirling dervish. Just. She's gone. If you've ever seen anyone do wushu or kung fu with a spear, it is insane. [02:28:11] Speaker A: Andrey, it's your turn. [02:28:13] Speaker C: How you doing, Andre? [02:28:14] Speaker F: Better, thank you. So Andre is going to look over a garm, who I assume is still, like, hanging on the buckling and beginning to cripple railing. [02:28:26] Speaker A: Yep. [02:28:26] Speaker F: It's just going to grin at him and then work to push the railing to knock the big pupper into the hole. [02:28:31] Speaker A: Ah. What do I want to have you roll for that? I need to look at your sheet. Hold on, roll me a flat. Intellect check. Because this is an expertise you don't technically have, which is like structural engineering. [02:28:48] Speaker F: 19. [02:28:51] Speaker A: I will say that you know where to push now. Make me a strength check. [02:28:54] Speaker F: 22. [02:28:56] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay, so here's what happens. You know where to push. You actually bring your foot up and push your foot like right at the. At the. At the. The perfect place where it's kind of crackling and crumbling and you just kick with everything you have. And this stone railing that was already not in great shape buckles. And Garm starts to fall and then doesn't. And you hear this deep, resonant growling laugh as you realize that his front paws are standing on nothing. Ah, nice try, little godly. I'm going to enjoy eating you. Would you like to move? [02:29:52] Speaker F: Yeah. Andre will just look to Garm, just go like, huh, neat. Flip him off, and then just fly away. [02:30:01] Speaker A: Where are you headed? [02:30:03] Speaker F: I'm going to. Oh, actually, I might grab Oliver because I don't want to leave Oliver here with Garm. [02:30:10] Speaker A: Poor Lucky is getting. Is getting abandoned. [02:30:13] Speaker F: Lucky is a fast boy and he. I'm sure he'll be fine, but I'm going to move over to join where I saw Blythe because I have the same amount of movement that Stefan does while flying. [02:30:29] Speaker A: Which is how much? [02:30:33] Speaker F: That's the one. [02:30:33] Speaker A: Okay, so you were grabbing Oliver and heading for Blythe. Yep. [02:30:37] Speaker F: I'm like, okay, come on, Mr. B, we're getting out of here. [02:30:42] Speaker A: I will allow you to just take Oliver with you. Just drop yourself wherever and Gary, just move your token. [02:30:48] Speaker F: Yeah, Give us a little more wiggle room. [02:30:53] Speaker A: Hey. [02:30:55] Speaker C: Hey, Lucky. [02:30:56] Speaker A: Are you feeling lucky? Are you feeling lucky? Wait, hold on. My dog. He did just straight up abandon the pupper. Violence. He's so good at this. [02:31:09] Speaker C: Does anyone else have interposed? [02:31:14] Speaker A: It's Lucky's turn. [02:31:16] Speaker C: Oh, good. Lucky's gonna probably sprint to catch up with. [02:31:20] Speaker A: How much movement does Lucky have? He's got 60ft if you would like. I don't. That's not far enough to get to you. But you could roll athletics for him. And I think it's a DC15. If he hits a DC15, he can double his movement. [02:31:38] Speaker F: Probably also ducking in one of the shops. [02:31:40] Speaker C: I think he's. We fought so much together. I'm gonna roll the athletics. I think getting 60ft is fine because there's nothing trying to kill him in the way. [02:31:50] Speaker A: Except the big off. Big awful. [02:31:52] Speaker C: Except for the big off world. Yes. [02:31:54] Speaker A: So he can double it so he can move up to 120. [02:31:57] Speaker C: All right. Lucky joins me. [02:31:58] Speaker A: All right. I don't think there's anything else he can do because he's. No, not in range of anything. Oh, yeah. [02:32:05] Speaker C: I can't even get close enough for the boys. [02:32:07] Speaker A: Oliver. [02:32:08] Speaker E: Yes? [02:32:11] Speaker A: You are not where you were. [02:32:13] Speaker E: Yeah, I got it airlifted by Andre. I can still see Garm from here, right? [02:32:19] Speaker A: You can? Kinda. [02:32:22] Speaker E: Okay, that's actually. [02:32:24] Speaker A: There is technically a wall between you and him. I will allow you to make a perception check. [02:32:29] Speaker E: Wow. [02:32:29] Speaker F: Your favorite. [02:32:30] Speaker E: My favorite. I could also just move like two steps down, but we'll see. [02:32:36] Speaker A: You could. [02:32:36] Speaker E: That's a neat. [02:32:38] Speaker A: You cannot see him clearly enough to be able to do whatever it is that you were thinking about doing. You would have to move. [02:32:45] Speaker E: What if I moved here? [02:32:47] Speaker A: Yes, you can see him. [02:32:49] Speaker E: All right. So, yeah, as Oliver just kind of wanders over, frowning to himself a bit and looking. When we were exchanging information earlier about the mythology behind Garm, it was mentioned that, like, one day he would break from his bindings and run amok on the world. Right? [02:33:04] Speaker A: Yes. [02:33:04] Speaker E: I think Oliver is wondering to himself, how is he here? And I would like to activate Braon's eye, look at Garm and be able and just see if I can tell. [02:33:15] Speaker A: Is this actually Garm? Tell me how the mechanics for that work. [02:33:20] Speaker E: It's just I'm doing insight, and Brayon's eye gives me a big extra boost to it. [02:33:25] Speaker A: Okay, do an insight. [02:33:27] Speaker E: Hold on. Ah, that's only a 10. I don't have many luck points left, but I'll use the last one just to do better. That is now a 26. [02:33:36] Speaker A: That is, in fact, Garm. [02:33:38] Speaker E: Okay, that was. Well, now there's a confirmation. [02:33:44] Speaker A: Yeah, that's my goal. Okay, it is Garm's turn. And Garm literally runs on air. [02:33:53] Speaker C: Oh, hi. [02:33:53] Speaker A: Garm literally runs on air to close the distance with Oliver. Oh, and does Lucky have a luck [02:34:04] Speaker C: point that, like, he gets from just be existing? [02:34:08] Speaker A: No, luck points are like the way [02:34:11] Speaker C: that we all start with hero. Sorry, sorry. [02:34:13] Speaker A: Does. [02:34:13] Speaker C: Does Lucky have a hero point? [02:34:15] Speaker A: No. Okay, well, now it works. Wait, did those both pop up at the same time? [02:34:23] Speaker B: Yeah, they did. [02:34:24] Speaker A: Weird how it worked earlier, but it didn't. It didn't work earlier, but it's working now. Strange. [02:34:31] Speaker E: Anyway, I think I'm good. [02:34:32] Speaker A: Yeah, I did roll a one. My dice suck. Tonight it is Braum's turn. Braum's not thrilled to dive down into this place and see his companion about to get munched down on by a big. Fuck off Wolf. Oliver, you are looking up at this thing and convinced that you are about to die. It's snapping its teeth, it's growling, it's getting up in your face, and then there is a gout of fire that hits it. That is a burst. Never mind. He wouldn't do that. I thought it was a cone. We'll just go with a bite. Then he appears as. Oh, wow, my son. He appears out of nowhere and sinks his teeth into Garm's neck. And I don't think that increased the DC automatically. So GARM now has to make a DC 26 toughness check and fails by 6. So GARM is bruised, dazed. [02:35:55] Speaker E: Yes. [02:35:59] Speaker A: You hear this roar that you've never heard come out of Braum, and he just appears out of nowhere and, like, drives into the side of. Of Garms, into the side of Garm's neck and proceeds to bite into his throat. Garm doesn't look hugely hurt, but he's definitely taken a little off guard by the fact that a fucking dragon just came out of nowhere. All right, Clint, [02:36:28] Speaker B: it's about that time. [02:36:31] Speaker A: All right, my darling, my darling, my love. What are you doing? [02:36:36] Speaker B: I'm gonna move into position. Position real quick and take advantage of having that. Take down two still for this turn. I'm gonna run down here. Eeny, meeny, miny, mo. I got three spots. I got four. I got four targets, I think. So we're gonna start with the little guys. Oh, holy. There's lots of them. One here. [02:37:00] Speaker D: Okay. [02:37:01] Speaker A: That certainly hints. [02:37:03] Speaker B: It sure do. [02:37:04] Speaker A: And it goes down. [02:37:06] Speaker B: Then we'll go for the next one in the same hallway. I didn't see that one at first. This is a big mall, by the way. [02:37:13] Speaker A: Well, it is a mall. [02:37:15] Speaker B: Yeah. All right. Yeet. You want to throw the little guy in the same room? [02:37:22] Speaker A: Okay. All right. That one makes it. [02:37:26] Speaker B: No, not fair. Okay, understandable, really. Let's see. Anything else I can do? I've moved. I've done my attacks. [02:37:38] Speaker A: I think that's it. [02:37:40] Speaker B: Yeah, I think that's it. At most, Clint's just gonna call for Ian to make sure he's doing okay, and then we're good. [02:37:48] Speaker A: Ian is fine. Ian is around. If you want Ian to do something, you're gonna have to say, and because he's not technically his own thing, it's probably going to take your action. [02:37:57] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, can. Can Ian just provide Kroger site? [02:38:02] Speaker A: Sure. He could be outside flying around, making sure that nobody's coming with backup. [02:38:07] Speaker B: Exactly. He's got that good memory he can tell me if something happens while we're fighting. [02:38:12] Speaker A: All right, it is the mature Fenrir's turn. [02:38:16] Speaker E: Oh, hello. [02:38:20] Speaker A: And I. I roll a one. I don't. I don't know why I fucking bother. All right, let's go back upstairs. [02:38:28] Speaker B: Yep. [02:38:30] Speaker A: Lies. Hey. Hi. [02:38:36] Speaker C: Listen, I've always loved you. [02:38:39] Speaker A: I mean, I'm gonna roll like shit because I've been rolling like shit all night, so. It's fine. [02:38:43] Speaker C: Listen, we both roll like shit. I'm just hoping. [02:38:47] Speaker D: But bp, if you don't, it improves the story. So hit them very hard. [02:38:51] Speaker A: I'm trying. [02:38:53] Speaker C: I'm like, we're not at the top of the round, which means I think Lucky's out of movement. [02:38:56] Speaker A: Oh, see, hold on. It improves the story. Yeah, it's a 24 to hit. [02:39:03] Speaker C: I hate it here. [02:39:05] Speaker D: Whose luck is worse, yours or BPs toughness? [02:39:08] Speaker A: I mean, today mine is worse. [02:39:11] Speaker C: There's no way I can dodge this. [02:39:14] Speaker A: Well, you can't dodge. It's. It's a toughness check. [02:39:18] Speaker C: 19. I'll take me. [02:39:20] Speaker A: Okay, so you. It's a bruised and it dazed and now you make athletics or acrobatics to see if it grabs you. I was gonna ask. Or knocks you prone. [02:39:30] Speaker C: This is in the top of the round. So Lucky's out of movement for interpose, Correct? [02:39:34] Speaker A: Correct. [02:39:36] Speaker C: All right. I hate it here. Sorry. [02:39:37] Speaker A: Athletics, athletics or acrobatics? Up to you. [02:39:40] Speaker C: It's crazy. Oh, I rolled Lucky's dodge. [02:39:44] Speaker A: Oops. Lucky's toughness is his better than yours? Yes. Oh, well, then you. How? By how much? Four. Oh, okay. Yeah. No, that's not good. You're bruised and staggered. I know. All right. Now, your athletics are acrobatics. Three injuries. [02:40:05] Speaker C: Two injuries. [02:40:07] Speaker A: You only get one from that babe. [02:40:10] Speaker C: Listen, there are a lot of conditions that we take in this. [02:40:13] Speaker A: There is. Now, you need to make your athletics or acrobatics roll against a DC 29. Me. You are prone, man. [02:40:22] Speaker C: I knew the glass part of the [02:40:24] Speaker A: glass cannon was gonna take. [02:40:25] Speaker C: Andre, are you out of movement? [02:40:27] Speaker F: No, I think I have some left. [02:40:28] Speaker C: Never mind. It's fine. [02:40:31] Speaker A: None of y' all have interposed correct. [02:40:33] Speaker B: Wouldn't lint does, but I'm real far away. [02:40:37] Speaker D: Ugh. [02:40:37] Speaker C: God. [02:40:38] Speaker A: Fuck me. [02:40:38] Speaker C: All right. [02:40:41] Speaker A: Hey, Blythe. What? You're prone, right? [02:40:48] Speaker G: Oh, no. [02:40:51] Speaker C: I have some pretty nasty athletics. I might be able to get back up. [02:40:54] Speaker A: Not on this turn, you're not. I'm looking at my advantages. A little check prone. A prone character is lying on the ground receiving a negative five circumstance penalty. On close attack checks, opponents receive a plus five circumstance bonus to close attack checks, but a negative five. Okay, I just need to double check. [02:41:15] Speaker C: No, I don't have anything that's gonna get me up faster. The ideas are usually not there. [02:41:19] Speaker A: This is really gonna suck for you. Oh, I. I know. Maybe. Unless I roll like me or I roll like me. Oh, I did not roll like me. That's a 20. Fortunately for you, minions can't crit. I'm Gonna need a DC25 toughness check, please. Why? Because you just got bited. [02:41:45] Speaker C: Yeah, no, I certainly don't make it. [02:41:47] Speaker A: That's enough. That's another bruise and a daze. I don't think that there are any more matures on this floor, so. Okay, now. Now for the babies. Now for the wee babies who have seen you be bopping around and recognize that if anybody is a problem for what they're trying to do, it is the person who can maneuver like that. [02:42:14] Speaker C: This feels racist [02:42:18] Speaker A: because I hated it. Does an 18 hit you versus my. You're. [02:42:23] Speaker C: Oh, my God. Where's my Dodge Defense? Dodge DC is 23. [02:42:28] Speaker A: Okay, well, the second one hits you, so I needed. [02:42:32] Speaker C: Damn it. [02:42:32] Speaker A: I need a toughness check. You're fine. You are okay. Jesus. You're okay. [02:42:45] Speaker C: I'm certainly not. Hold on. [02:42:46] Speaker A: Don't lie to me. I mean, it could have been worse. And this one is gonna go after Andre because it can't get to you. [02:42:53] Speaker F: That makes sense. [02:42:53] Speaker A: Make sure that I remove the plus five. 21 to hit. [02:42:58] Speaker F: Miss. [02:42:58] Speaker A: Oh, damn. What's your Dodge? [02:43:01] Speaker F: 26 DC or total roll? [02:43:04] Speaker A: DC. [02:43:05] Speaker F: DC is 26. [02:43:07] Speaker A: The is your wild. Okay, that's very high. Just like. What? All right, we're gonna go back down onto the ground floor because that's where Clint is. And technically, there are still babies that could go after him. [02:43:24] Speaker B: Going down. Down. [02:43:25] Speaker A: Okay, there's one baby who could go after him. The others are just gonna move closer. [02:43:34] Speaker B: Yeah, the closer they get, that makes it a lot easier for me to hit them with them stick. So that works out. [02:43:39] Speaker A: Yeah, well, it also makes it a lot easier for them to chomp down on you. My guy. [02:43:43] Speaker B: Well, they wouldn't do that. They love me. I'm a friendly feller. [02:43:47] Speaker A: They do love you. Mostly because, you know, got that big heart. [02:43:54] Speaker B: Big, tasty, throbbing heart. [02:43:58] Speaker E: No, no, no. [02:44:00] Speaker A: I'm pretty sure that misses even as a. Does indeed miss even as a toughness shifted as you are. Okay, well, that's that. The matures and the youngs are done. It is Stefan's turn again. [02:44:15] Speaker D: Let's go. [02:44:17] Speaker G: All right, ma', am, I'm gonna try and get you out of here. Please do not resist. [02:44:26] Speaker A: You're gonna have to make a roll, my guy. Looking at the basic. [02:44:32] Speaker G: I am friendly and not scary. [02:44:36] Speaker A: Yeah, you are so not at all scary with your. With your. Your split serpent tongue thing. And you're covered in tattoos. Make me a persuasion. You do not get your pretty dice on this. [02:44:51] Speaker D: 21. [02:44:54] Speaker A: She looks even more terrified. [02:44:58] Speaker G: Ma', am, I'm with the fire department. [02:45:00] Speaker A: You can see her, like, scrambling for the door, trying to get past you. Did you say, ma', am, I'm with the fire department? [02:45:11] Speaker F: Shirtless man. [02:45:13] Speaker D: Okay, well, in this moment, I'm thinking, what's the best choice? Going outside is not force protection time. Can I, like, grab the back of her shirt? [02:45:30] Speaker A: You could certainly, yeah. I'm not gonna make you roll. She's mortal. Grabbing her is not gonna be. Not gonna be hard. But it does freak her out more, which means that she is now screaming at the top of her lungs, which means that any chance of being hidden is gone. [02:45:45] Speaker G: Yep, you're gonna. This is not gonna help. Please stop screaming. We are. [02:45:52] Speaker A: Whatever. [02:45:52] Speaker D: I will cover her head and fly up, intending to use myself to go through the ceiling. Or actually, I'm fast enough. I could probably just go outside and up through the glass. [02:46:05] Speaker A: How. How much movement do you have? [02:46:08] Speaker D: 500ft. [02:46:10] Speaker A: Well, okay, let me. Let me double check the roof. Yeah, there is in fact, glass, like, directly above you. Well, not directly above you, but above this part here. [02:46:24] Speaker D: Alrighty, I will do that then. [02:46:26] Speaker A: Okay, I'm not gonna make you roll strength for this. However, comma, I am gonna. Do you have interpose? [02:46:35] Speaker D: Yes. [02:46:37] Speaker A: Okay, I am going to make you roll toughness to see if you take damage from. [02:46:44] Speaker D: From this 26. [02:46:47] Speaker A: Okay. You do not take damage. You are okay. How far are you trying to go? Are you just trying to, like, straight up leave them all, period? Are you just trying to get to the roof? What are you doing? [02:46:58] Speaker D: I am putting her on the roof where there is no one and no wolves. [02:47:03] Speaker A: Currently. Okay. [02:47:04] Speaker D: Currently, yes, [02:47:07] Speaker A: you should be on the roof. Now move things and I will yell [02:47:12] Speaker D: back down to the gang. [02:47:13] Speaker G: I got her on the roof. We can dip, huh? [02:47:19] Speaker A: You can drag yourself onto the thing. I'm not gonna put her token on there. It would take me too long. [02:47:23] Speaker D: Alrighty. [02:47:28] Speaker A: And that's your turn. It is Blythe's turn. [02:47:31] Speaker C: Can I teleport from prone? [02:47:33] Speaker A: Yeah, there's no reason why you can't. [02:47:35] Speaker C: All right, I'd like To not be here, frankly. I can see Stefan. He's got. [02:47:41] Speaker A: I assume you cannot in fact see Stefan. Stefan flew outside. [02:47:49] Speaker C: I saw him leave is what I'm saying. [02:47:50] Speaker A: You heard him yell that he's got her on the roof, right? Okay. You were surrounded by wolfies. You couldn't actually see a whole lot. [02:47:58] Speaker C: So what I'd like to do is get the fuck out of here. Andre, you ready to move? I'm gonna yell it over the. All right. I'm gonna start collecting boys. [02:48:10] Speaker A: Okay. Are you headed for the roof? [02:48:13] Speaker C: I'm headed to Andrey first from prone. I don't even have to stand up. I can do this laying down. I just need to grab their ankles. Okay. [02:48:20] Speaker A: Ultimately, my question is ultimately, where are you trying to go? [02:48:23] Speaker C: Yes, we're all gonna. [02:48:24] Speaker A: We're all reconvening on the roof. [02:48:25] Speaker C: The plan this whole time was get the girl and leave. [02:48:28] Speaker A: Okay. So I'm just gonna move. Anybody? No, sorry, go ahead. [02:48:32] Speaker C: If. And I will say it as I'm going. If anyone wants to stop before. If anyone wants to go back now, speak now. [02:48:39] Speaker A: Forever hold your peace. [02:48:41] Speaker B: Oh, if we got the girl, it's time to get. [02:48:44] Speaker F: Yep, time to go. [02:48:46] Speaker C: So, yeah, I'm gonna grab everyone and the wolf carcass just for a trophy later. [02:48:51] Speaker A: I don't. I'll say you could take the wolf carcass to the roof. You're gonna have a hard time leaving with it because you're already pretty close to capacity on your long range teleport for. That's true. Wait. Oh, I'm st. [02:49:04] Speaker C: I'm staggered and dazed. What does that do to my movement? [02:49:08] Speaker E: It just says you're not allowed to move and take an action. You have to choose one or the other. [02:49:12] Speaker C: Well, it just means I could. It is touching you guys part. I don't know if that counts. [02:49:17] Speaker E: Well, for me it was you having to stand up. I don't know if you standing up [02:49:20] Speaker A: counter or not do it laying down. She's literally said that she was gonna lay down. [02:49:25] Speaker E: Okay, [02:49:28] Speaker A: do you have any more hero points? You are lucky. [02:49:32] Speaker C: Lucky you said doesn't get hero points. I have one. [02:49:35] Speaker A: What I would do is I would play my hero point to clear staggered and then do this because then you have your full turn. [02:49:44] Speaker E: Well, she would still be dazed, but I also have a hero point which I can give to you. [02:49:48] Speaker A: Okay, I'm done. [02:49:49] Speaker C: Yeah. Can I have that? [02:49:51] Speaker E: Yep. [02:49:52] Speaker A: All right. So everybody is back on the roof. [02:49:56] Speaker C: Still got two injuries. [02:49:57] Speaker A: Okay, everybody is back on the roof. B.L. looks a little tired. From having to be bop around and she's taking. She's taking one hell of a beating. Oh, did you get Brown, by the way, or did you leave him? [02:50:13] Speaker C: I would get him if I could see him. [02:50:16] Speaker A: You could see him. He was literally chow. He was literally chowing down on Garm's throat. [02:50:21] Speaker C: Certainly did that. I would have grabbed everyone. [02:50:23] Speaker A: I think I have that. [02:50:24] Speaker C: If it's mostly vertical, I can. We're comfortably in the rain. [02:50:28] Speaker A: Yep. Okay, so it. That is your turn. Yep. Andre. [02:50:34] Speaker B: Ah, fuck. [02:50:35] Speaker F: If we're all here, I don't really have anything else to do because I was going to fight wolves and we didn't grab the girl, but we grabbed the girl. So I'm just getting ready to get the hell out of here. [02:50:44] Speaker E: Okay. [02:50:45] Speaker A: I'm assuming Lucky is not doing anything. [02:50:48] Speaker C: Lucky will give Blyde one of his regeneration licks. [02:50:52] Speaker A: Okay. He'll turn, heal injury. Sorry I cut you off, Andre. I'm sorry. [02:50:59] Speaker F: I was just gonna say that basically if there is a way for me to do that, I will hold. So if one of the wolves comes up, Audrey will kill it? [02:51:07] Speaker A: Not really. Yeah, I didn't. [02:51:09] Speaker F: I didn't. I didn't remember one. So I just like. Yeah, he's just basically waiting. [02:51:13] Speaker E: Oliver, I think I'm in the same boat as Andre. I'm basically cleared of luck points and hero points. [02:51:18] Speaker A: So make me a raw intelligence check with them. No, not you live. Make me a raw intelligence check. And if you have identical quiet. I do not have identity. [02:51:33] Speaker C: Actually, Ken, I've got a 10. Can Lucky give instead of. Instead of regeneration for me, I would. Can Lucky have given go give Oliver pets. [02:51:44] Speaker E: I didn't get hurt. [02:51:45] Speaker C: That's true. Well, no, all of he's got luck points, but I actually think I might be burned out on those two. [02:51:52] Speaker A: All right. Yeah, you do not. You do not. Okay. Do not meet the D.C. you all hear the loudest, most like soul shaking howl from inside the building. And then the skylight over here explodes as Garma flies, literally running on air up out onto the roof. Which makes it Braum's turn. Now Braum can use his fire thing dodge. Okay. Oh, he takes another bruise. You guys watch as Braum's chest kind of glows and his head rears back and he. It almost looks like a massive orb of flame gets like spit out and it flies at Garm, over, barely over Clint and Andre's heads, flies at Garm and erupts against it and Garm stumbles. Clint. [02:53:12] Speaker B: Yep. Let's see Garm's still there. We're trying to skedaddle. Clint turns around and chucks his spear. Keeping it simple. This is actually kind of Clint's first time seeing our big friend too. Except for the passing vision. [02:53:30] Speaker A: Except for when you passed by him as you were falling. Yes, that hits him. [02:53:37] Speaker B: Hey. [02:53:40] Speaker A: Oh. [02:53:41] Speaker B: All right. [02:53:41] Speaker A: He tanks it. [02:53:44] Speaker B: All right, that makes sense. And then I'm just gonna. [02:53:47] Speaker A: His jaw, his jaws kind of snapped down on it. And for a second you're a little worried that it'll break, but you remember. You remember it's your relic and you were able to recall it. And his jaw kind of snap shut. Nothing. It's slimy though. [02:54:04] Speaker B: It is. I'm used to it being slimy. No. No change there. Got my toothpick back. I'm a skedaddle. I'm a kid. Keep a little closer to my friends in case I need to get between them and Garm. [02:54:16] Speaker A: Okay. The mature and young Fenrir are trying to get to the roof, but they can't fly. Blythe, it is your turn. [02:54:27] Speaker C: Stefan is technically before me still. [02:54:29] Speaker A: Oh, yes. I'm sorry. Yes. Stefan, it's your turn. Would you like to. To grab your. Your innocence and close the distance to the others? [02:54:38] Speaker D: Yes. Would like to attempt something on Garm. [02:54:44] Speaker A: Okay. [02:54:46] Speaker D: I would like to attempt to daze him as per my advantage. [02:54:50] Speaker A: Which advantage, dear? [02:54:51] Speaker E: There, I think just called daze. [02:54:54] Speaker D: Yeah. [02:54:55] Speaker A: Okay. What are you rolling for? That is what I mean. Sorry. [02:54:58] Speaker D: Oh, deception. [02:54:59] Speaker A: Okay. And it's versus his will or insight. [02:55:06] Speaker B: Insider, will you? [02:55:07] Speaker E: I think it's literally just the same thing as a demoralized. But it does dazed instead of debuffs. [02:55:13] Speaker C: Let me look because Lucky has a similar one. [02:55:16] Speaker D: Yes. [02:55:16] Speaker A: I don't double checking something for it. [02:55:19] Speaker D: Let me see. [02:55:20] Speaker A: Hold on, hold on. Intimidation, insight or will defense? Whichever is highest. Double checking something to make sure that he's not like he's not. Well, his in intimidation's very high, so. Yeah, he's fine. [02:55:39] Speaker D: Alrighty. [02:55:40] Speaker A: He's snarls as he advances. All right, so you grab the girl. Get closer to Blythe. Okay, Blythe, it is your turn. [02:55:49] Speaker C: Yeah. Tell your half rotted friend that I am far more competent than she is and I'm gonna give Garm the middle finger and take everyone out and get everyone home. [02:55:59] Speaker A: Okay. [02:56:00] Speaker C: Back to the van. [02:56:02] Speaker A: I need you to roll a D20 plus however many ranks you have in that particular movement ability. No. [02:56:17] Speaker C: Let's see here. Sorry, I'm looking. I have so many versions of this teleport. [02:56:23] Speaker A: You do? It's teleport six. [02:56:25] Speaker C: Hell, yeah. All right, so just a D20. [02:56:28] Speaker A: D20 plus six. Yeah. Okay, [02:56:36] Speaker E: so here's what. [02:56:38] Speaker A: Here is what happens. You grab the. The hands of the people closest to you while everybody else creates this, like, circle, or it looks like a trust circle. And you are. You're like, I got this. We're fine. We're going to get out of here. It's great. And you put you focus on where the van is, which is way back at the safe house, and nothing happens. It's like trying to. It's like trying to walk into a wall is what it feels like. I hate it here. Make me an expertise. Magic check and I will give you a plus five. [02:57:24] Speaker C: I'm rolling like me. [02:57:25] Speaker A: Oh, I didn't. [02:57:26] Speaker C: 21. [02:57:27] Speaker A: Okay, double check my notes. Fucking Garm. [02:57:33] Speaker C: Come on, let me leave. I don't think Blythe stood up. She's doing this from laying down. [02:57:42] Speaker A: You realize as you were trying to do this, Lucky said he felt something magical when you guys arrived. And now your power isn't working to get you out. I hate it here. Talking is a free action. Yeah, talking is a free action. If you would like to talk to your friends while. While Garm is advancing. [02:58:06] Speaker C: Great. Change of plans, Oliver. There's some real shitty, shitty magic happening that's not letting us leave. [02:58:15] Speaker A: Right. [02:58:16] Speaker E: Wonderful. [02:58:18] Speaker C: Listen, I was doing real well for [02:58:19] Speaker A: a while here, okay, Andre? [02:58:25] Speaker E: Actually. [02:58:26] Speaker A: Actually, no. We are at time. So we wrap up the session. We wrap up the session with our heroes collected on top of this maul, staring down at the largest of all of the Fenris wolves, short of Fenrir himself. And you all have the sickening feeling at the pit of your stomach that you may be trapped. And that is where we are going to call it for the evening.
